Sea Rocket Motel — Hotel in North Redington Beach

UNIT #18 - Cleaner of this unit should be fired. Hopefully owner has a say in who cleans the unit! (Not sure of the HOA rules/if require to use a certain company) Unit has not been vacumed, washed or even wiped down. Gum & candy wrappers under bed. Pubes and regular hair in closet cabinet drawers (so gross! will not upload this pic) - we chose not to use the drawers because of it. Thick layer of dust caked-on on both fans, not sanitary especially if your guest is asthmatic. We spilled a water on the floor and went to wipe with a towel and it was so so dirty. Soap scum in bathtub, and caddy, not exactly safe to step into a slippery tub to shower. Kitchen counter was all rough and obviously no one wiped it. Pans we pulled to use were all sticky, didn't check pots that did not need to use. Some plates were dirty. Some forks/spoons/knives were dirty. Fridge drawer and shelf was dirty. Moldy baking soda box left in fridge. Frezzer and fridge doors had ice cascading from them. Thankfully we stopped at walmart to get some food before getting to the property and I picked up some sanitizing wipes & a pack of paper towels. We washed EVERYTHING, the counters, dishes/utensils, fridge, glasses and anything else we needed before we used it! Getting food poisoning was not in our vacation plans. AC works great. Good size kitchen for a studio, and fairly well stocked. Does have a wine opener! Full size fridge. Plenty of pillows. Clean bedding. Has a small cooler. Some board games. Flash light. Love seat is a pull out queen bed. Hangers in closet. Iron board, iron. Cleaning products galore. Shower curtain, dinnerware, some cooking utensils, a few pans/pots and the queen love seat are all newer. Had small dishsoap, dish sponge, 4 kitchen towels, coffee filters. Salt/pepper/cumin and all purposes seasoning. One roll of paper towel, 2 of toilet paper. No dishwasher but tha'ts ok. Recliner in photos on VTripscom is no longer in unit, if you are counting on it maybe for an elderly. Matress would have been a nice one, the soft-er type, but it's too beat up. It's uneven at the headboard, your head/pillow is lower than your body. My partner slept on the couch (not pulled out for better support) after the 3rd night, back was killing. I continued to sleep on the bed but slept feet to headboard to be leveled. We figure since tv is hung above the couch people sit on the bed against the headboard to watch TV and over time matress has been dented in on that side. TV is on a pull-out-arm but it's not a good one, basically does not extend far out enough to watch from the couch. Tile on the floor is uneven in some places so stubbing toes is a thing. Smaller foldable wood chairs for dining, not exactly comfortable for adults but totally fine for short stays & younger people. Smoke detector was unplugged, laying on the fridge. Freezer door and fridge door both had hanging frost built-up on them. Bathroom - toilet is nestled between the wall and the sink cabinet, really tight - i mean toilet paper roll on the wall is literally at the toilet ring. Very poor hot water, more like nice warm. Standing water in tub if you're showering at full water pressure. The shower curtain rod is a joke. It's the tension-type and so it slides on the polished tile walls and falls down often. Unit needs: beach towels. Beach chairs. First aid kit, lots of broken shells on the beach. Dish drying rack since there is no dishwasher. not good, overly expensive, stayed in unit 1 was very displeased, tub was full of sand on arrival. drain stop did not work, barely enough room to turn around in this place, had to go to car to even smoke a cigarette, was stated that could not even smoke outside on banaster, which where my unit was did not have one, hardly nowhere to even hang clothes, contacted rental agency about issues, they supposedly contacted the owner, which refused to do anything about problems. also was supposed to have free wifi, which did not even know password until about 4 days into the stay. when trying to take a shower, either get scalded or freeze to death, extremely cold water comes out or very hot comes out. no swimming pool, no on sight mngmt, if problems arose on a Sunday, could in no way get ahold of anyone. then wanted to charge me an extra 27.00 for ariving to early, which most places are check in at 2pm, here it is at 4pm. also was told on confirmation that this was a condo, which it is not, it is a motel, but yet the girl argued me it was a condo, I know the difference, been staying in condos for years, this is not a condo in anyway, shape, form, or fashion. was charged almost 700.00 for 12 days for a very small room that I could not even unpack most of my belongings because of no room. In a word this place is a joke, over rated, way over priced, and not a good place to stay, On top of all that, everyone I spoke with around the area were all giving this place a thumbs down, told me it was a dump and that during certain times of year was nothing more than a party zone and very noisy. Needless to say, I will never ever stay at this dump again, I rather pitch a tent out on the beach. also they expect you put a parking pass on your car dash, but when I ask for one they said unless I could print my own, that I had to make my own stating the dates that I was here, most places I ever stayed they provide you with one upon arrival. Very bad experience with the place, and the owners were more worried about collecting the extra 27.00 and my card not working than they were making the situation right, and pleasing the customer, very bad business, will be lucky if I don't call better...

Check-in and check-out is easy - check in is just an emailed key code. Check out is just leaving at 10am, or if you're needing to leave earlier you need to notify via emailed portal link. Never saw anyone at the office on the premises. Location is unbeatable. Right on water. Gated property, tho gates were never closed even at night. Walking distance to several eating establishments and small markets. Sequire area from public beach goers.  Partial beach view from outside the unit doors, no view from inside of the units. Chairs available by the unit entry doors to sit & enjoy the partial view. Other chairs available at end of building for full ocean view. BBQ area has 2 bilt-in BBQs, 4 large tables, 24 chairs and 6 lougers. All brand new, except the BBQs. Assigned parking spot matching unit #. Large garbage dumpster on premises. Stairs freshly painted with non-slip paint. NOT so positives... :( Wifi sucks so bad, don't plan on being able to use it much. Building, and premises, needs much love overall. Built in 1950s, and looks it. HOA is  painting things over and over & over again to try and make it look clean but at some point you should stop caking-it on since its peeling off in chunks. Building & covered area has concrete cracks, peeling paint and rust throughout, always have shoes on. 2nd floor sloping is bad especially in front of units #19 & #20, these units had standing water after each rain right up against the entry doors. You would think HOA would be more useful when collecting almost $700 per unit/aprox...
