I am one not to leave reviews because I don’t like to complain, but this place was bad from the moment we pulled in and just got worse. Let’s start from the beginning, we pulled in at 7:30pm on a Saturday, and the office closed at 7pm. I didn’t know it closed that early and I didn’t check either since we drove 10 hours that day to get here. We then go to the after hours box to get our map and site number. It just had D-22 circled and no instructions on how to drive in or where to park. They don’t give you any other information other than your spot and that’s it. We then arrive through the gate and had to find the gate code to even get in. We then realize how tight and small everything is in there. A car has to stop to let people walk by because that’s how narrow the roads are. We then figure out which way we need to get to our site. We pull up and quickly notice all hookups are in the front of your sites. We then also can’t unhook our trailer because the site pads are too high and the roads low there. Making us park our trailer all the way back and making us have issues reaching water and power. After all this we then park on the left of our trailer that’s right next to our neighbors trailer. An hour later I get a knock on the door from my neighbor that I am parked in his spot. I apologized and moved my truck as I had no idea that was his spot since my hookups is on that side of the concrete. I then called after hours to confirm where I should park at this point. A very nice and wonderful man came by to help me and told me basically my spot was a tiny piece of concrete that looked like a sidewalk. The guy on my right was a worker there and lives there. He was giving the nice guy a hard time because he was worried when we parked there that the parking spot is close to his trailer we would hit it. We have never hit anything with our vehicles and was so over this pace at this point. It seems more people live here than visit as there is tons of stuff outside their trailers and makes it look run down. I was ready to leave at this point and boondock. Too much drama there with staff and permanent residents that I had to write this review. I hope in the future they can add spaces are tight to their website and think about adding more information to maps so people don’t have this extra stress. We also didn’t even know the bathroom codes or where the dumpster was. I wish I didn’t have to even take time to write this lengthy post. Just reconsider yourself the headache we endured and find somewhere else to go.

This RV park was subpar for our expectations with the associated costs. WiFi was nearly non-existent and inconsistent daily. I even was told to call the consulting company that runs the tech infrastructure to try and address the issue. Beings that we called this park and was told that they do have dedicated wifi per device, it barely gave the result of a 56k dial up. (See attached photos for results as I work in technology). The location is great as far as being convienently located to nearby shopping/gas stations/restaurants etc., but way too noisy. It sits on the corner I-215. We where there for a week and the spot next to us was a revolving door or RVs that complained about the noise and the space between sites. I could only extend the awning about 4 feet. There are a lot of long term folks as well. Mosquitoes were also a constant bother. Pros: Easy to get to. Conveniently located. Cons: Scale of 1-10 ...10 being extremely noisy... its a 10. Mosquitoes. Too much $$ for a subpar setup. WiFi nearly non-existent. Laundry was the most money I've paid per load. Its 2$ for wash and 2$ for drier. Space. Sewer smell was pretty noticeable due to close proximity of neighbors and a good chunk of the neighbors rented and did not have proper sewer elbow joint and just stuck tubing down the pipe leaving room for scent to be exposed. I'd check around for other sites nearby.

We had a very good three week stay here. We were in a premium site which I definitely recommend - it has a good grass space between each camper. I would definitely not recommend the smaller sites which are very tightly packed. The amenities were very clean and well kept. The pads super level and the grass areas well maintained. I really liked having the walking / biking trail accessible directly from the resort which provided miles and miles of trails for exercise in the afternoon. Staff were super friendly and helpful too. However, I am a little surprised that Sun Communities brands this one as a Sun Outdoors. This park seemed more like a Sun Retreats as the majority of RVs are long-stay residents and as such, it does not have lots of family amenities or vacation feel to it. Would definitely not come here with a bunch of kids. We are two adults who live full time in our trailer, so no problem for us, it was lovely and quiet. But for example, the pool was closed for the season when we arrived on Sep 22 and we had three weeks of weather in the high 80s and low 90s… that’s pool weather!!! Anyway, we had a very pleasant stay and it is a great location to jump down to Salt Lake City or Antelope State Park. We would come here again.

Over six months ago I made a reservation online for a one night stay for Sept at Pony Express RV Resort for an EXECUTIVE campsite for our Class A motor home and tow car. It needed to be at least 45 feet long. I selected the 70 ft "Executive" site because the other “Deluxe” sites would only accommodate up to 35 ft.

One week later, I realized we needed to change the date slightly and add another night, so I called Pony Express and requested that they change my reservation to arrive one day later and add an extra night. The reservation rep confirmed that we were all set. Nothing else about our reservations should have been changed. Just the date and number of nights. This was done SIX months ago.

We’re into the second month of our road trip now and arrived at Pony Express today to find out that when they changed my reservation dates, they also changed the type of campsite from the “Executive” (up to 70 ft long) to a “Deluxe Plus” site (up to 35 ft long)!

I pointed out to the nice lady at the desk that they had made a mistake when they changed the reservation 6 months ago and that the shorter site was unacceptable. She was trying to help resolve the problem when the manager came out of his office and immediately began arguing with us. He was rude and disrespectful to my wife and I. I showed him a copy of the confirmed reservation that clearly said “Executive” site on my iPhone, but he insisted that I must have cancelled and changed it to a Deluxe site online myself.

First, you CAN'T cancel a site on the Pony Express website online. You must call, which is what I did. I only changed the dates, nothing else. However, the manager insisted that I must have changed the reservation online, even though that would not make any sense. Why would I call to cancel and change my reservation dates, and then make a reservation online? He became angrier and more unreasonable.

Because the manager would not make any attempt to help resolve the mix up, my wife and I walked out and set up our long Class A motor home and car as best we could on the short Deluxe site,

We’ve stayed at Sun RV Resorts before and have never run into this kind of poor customer service, or such an angry manager. We have over 30 campsite reservations for our three-month road trip and NONE have had any problems like this at Pony Express.

If you want to take a chance, go for it, but this was a horrible experience for us and we would not recommend Pony Express RV...

I knew it was a busy weekend being the 4th of July so I called early May to book. We were traveling down there with family and needed 3 spots. I called to see if there were 3 spots that were right next to each other so we could all be close. They said no problem so I booked it and put a security deposit down. Then called my family and had them confirm them since I already reserved them all. When I get there we were all separated. So when we go to pull into our spot I see my brother -in-laws trailer and there is an empty spot next to it. So I call them and ask if we could switch one spot over so we at least could be close since we both had small children that played together. They said somebody already had a reservation there. Well so I did I, I said and we were supposed to all be together but since it was just a single spot in between us I asked if we could just trade. She said no, there was nothing they could do. Which to me made no sense. One spot in between us and the site wasn’t specifically reserved why couldn’t they? Then my sister-in-law went and talked to them and they said we could have our parents pull into that middle spot the next day when the current guests left. We told them we wouldn’t be back until later in the day if that was ok, they said it was. But when we got back the next day someone else was there. They said we should have watched and pulled in as soon as the other person left.... so we were annoyed but felt with it. We checked out that Monday and on Wednesday I look at my back account and see another charge from them for $186. They had already charged my card upon check in for the full amount of the stay so this charge was not ours. They also charged my sister and brother-in-law an additional $123? So I called them again and wanted to know why there was this charge. The woman I spoke to said she thinks someone is working on it. I asked her to please check to make sure. She wasn’t sure and said she would have someone call me back and then wasn’t going to take my number. I had to tell her to take it so they know where to call. Hopefully this is take Care of ASAP. It was not the family weekend of relaxation we planned. More of a headache than anything. I won’t...
