Sandbar is pretty chill while also being competitive. The atmosphere is welcoming, the menu is great, and the people are awesome. Good vibes. I’ve also left items behind (including an Apple Watch), and every time, I’ve always got them back. If you’re looking for competitive play you’ll find no shortage here. If you’re brand new (I started with 0 experience) it can be a little rough but if you take the initiative to ask others for help most people are more than happy to teach at “open play” you will fit in quickly. They also offer coached sessions(I’ve yet to take one) Overall amazing spot and great escape from Utah winters.

There is no other place like this in SLC! They have leagues for all skill levels from Rec to Open. Players of an elite level also being generous and kind can be rare. The Sandbar community will not be the place for you if you are a jerk. Cory and Tyler Rock my world!!

Fantastic facility with five indoor beach courts and four outdoor beach courts! Friendly and courteous staff, great selection of fitness drinks and microbrews, and even a small selection of lunch and snack items! Tons of space, and a great layout!

Played two seasons here along with 1 tournament in the B league and I really love this place. There are total of 9 court's to play on 5 inside and 4 outdoor. All teams that I've played with or against are super friendly and chill about the game. It's a good time there where everyone is there to play as best they can along with being chill about it. A lot of talented players here.

The court's are kept very well and the facility overall is very clean.

While this is a bar with good drinks there is also quality food here too, Taco's and burgers are what I've eaten here and were top notch.

Every interaction with the staff is a positive one and will answer any questions you have for them. Very professional toward everyone. FYI the person who runs the whole ordeal is legit and knows what he is doing.

There are all types of leagues for everyone of any skill level tournaments happen as well on the weekends. I'd recommend this place to anyone who would like to play some volleyball or...

Sandbar has become the premier spot to play sand volleyball in Utah! With both outdoor and indoor sand volleyball courts, it's the place to be for sand volleyball year-round. You can also order food and grab a couple beers while you're at it. The open play doesn't seem as available, so being in the league at Sandbar is how you do it! And it's okay if you haven't played before - there is a recreation league for people just starting out,...
