Sleep Number — Hotel in Oak Brook

BUYERS BEWARE!!!

My husband and I have been waiting for a long time to buy a new bed. We wanted to treat ourselves with a good bed so we chose to try Sleep number. As we came to the store we could tell that the salesperson wanted to make money and get us to buy the bed. We tried the beds out and yes did find them comfortable. We decided to make a purchase based on what the salesperson had told us which was that if we were not satisfied with the BED we could RETURN it within 100 days. Which in our minds meant the base and the mattress.

The horrible experience began upon delivery… When we discovered that the base was warped and the pump was malfunctioning. My husband told the delivery guys to take the whole bed but they insisted that we should keep it and have the base replaced. But … that night… the mattress on my husband’s side deflated because the pump was not working. Then when we tried to return the whole bed like the salesperson had told us originally we discovered that the base could not be returned and that it was a final sale. Mind you the base cost over 3,000 DOLLARS YES, 3,000 DOLLARS!!!!

We also filed a complaint with BBB and hope to get this matter resolved. This is absolutely absurd and unacceptable. In the future the Sleep Number employees need to be UPFRONT with their customers. We will definitely not be coming back to this DECEITFUL and DISHONEST store.

This review is about the store and not the product. Will update once my mattress is delivered and I've had a chance to sleep on it for a few days. The store was busy when I arrived had to wait a few minutes for a sales rep. I did some research before I went in so I had an idea of what I was looking for. Michael answered the questions I had and steered me in the right direction. I was told the mattress I had in mind wouldn't work out for me (I'm a big guy 6'2 325lbs) so he gave me a couple options. Option 1 was the C4 and a bit more then I was planning to spend but not much more. Option 2 was about $1200 more then I wanted to spend. Tested out some beds and different settings and decided to go with option 1. After all was said and done I walked out about 40 minutes later feeling like I got what I wanted for a good price. If I had 1 complaint is the next delivery day they had available was 5 days later with an 8 hour window. If all goes well with the mattress I will suggest this place to friends and family. Be prepared to pay a premium but isn't a good night's sleep worth it? I've had the mattress for a bit now and I love it, it's great being able to adjust the firmness whenever I need 2. Sebastian, Heather and Josh are all AMAZING!!! Outstanding customer service, professionalism and a whole lot of PATIENCE!! I visited the store in the Oakbrook Promenade on Friday 2/9/24 and what an experience it was!! I learned so much about products and myself as well. Sebastian was a 10 and then some!!! Lol. He was thorough, extremely knowledgeable and has impeccable memory when it comes to all of his customers. Professional service 👌 to say the least.
