Original post 4/19/22 - THEY ORDER EVERYTHING FROM CHINA AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE IT ON TIME!!!! Absolutely Unprofessional. My fiance went here on 3/27 to get a custom suit for our wedding which is happening on 5/6. One of the first questions he asked was "If I get a custom suit, will it be ready by this date" and the SA, Dylan, insisted that it would be ready by 4/17. Fast forward to today (4/19) because he did not receive an update from them - my fiance called to inquire about the status of the suit. The response he received was "We don't know where your suit is" and the gentleman passed the phone to Dylan. Dylan's response was the same thing. "We cannot locate your suit". So at this point, I am fuming. I call and politely ask to speak to the MOD - which was Ann - and she tells me "I was just telling Dylan that the suit is stuck in China, they had another outbreak and we don't know when it's coming. I have pulled identical pieces that are in stock and he can come get fitted for those and whenever the suit arrives, he will have his suit." (Mind you, I am currently at my office - not with my fiance - and not one person has contacted my fiance to tell HIM this information.) So I proceed to ask her how does it make sense that he is still going to be charged for this suit if he specifically needs it for the wedding date- and she hit's me with the "Hello? I cannot hear you." Hangs up. At this point, I regret suggesting that he try this place. He initially went to a local shop that fitted him for a suit but he was not completely crazy about it. So he ended up here. Furthermore, we had no idea that the suits came from China. This should be something that everyone is aware of. I understand most custom pieces come from overseas, but honestly WHY promise that a custom suit that is coming from overseas would be here in 3 weeks especially with all of the weather issues, pandemic issues, shipping issues, labor shortages, etc. we have faced? The real kicker here is the fact that they are going to charge a 50% RESTOCKING FEE for him to cancel this order for a suit that he will NOT NEED by the time it arrives! Not to mention, it has been an hour since DYLAN promised that the manager would call him and let him know what is going on - and not one person has reached out to him!
UPDATE: called to get the order cancelled and spoke with Patrick. At the very least, he sounded like he was nice and professional. I explained to him briefly what happened and told him that it is crazy that a custom suit is promised within 3 weeks if they know it is coming from overseas. He agreed, said that he needed to check on some things, and he would call me back. I will update again once this happens.
4/20 UPDATE: NOBODY has called either one of us and told us ANYTHING about the aforementioned! Not even a call directly to my fiance to let him know what his options are. Thankfully, within hours of finding this out I had him go to another local place and they took such great care of him. I am still attempting to get this order cancelled.
5/9 UPDATE - STILL NO CALL OR RESPONSE!! No suit ever arrived, nobody has reached out - emailed the response below and they cannot do anything except literally hear your complaint. Wedding came and went on Friday - and still no suit or...
Read moreI typically don’t leave reviews but because my experience has been surprisingly a breath of fresh air, professional and on-time delivery, I feel I would be doing a disservice for not leaving a review. Let me first say, I’ve held off shopping at Jos Bank for a number of years. Their commercial came across a bit snobbish and very high-end prices (judging a book by it’s cover), so I really only walked in the store once and never went back. Little did I know, one location doesn’t capture the breath and depth of their product line and price point. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. Not only is their a wide array of prices but the website is so easy to navigate. Listen, I make a very good living but I’m extremely frugal and hate spending money on overprices items to be let down by the quality of the work and longevity of the material / service. I’ve recently became a loyal customer last year and have ordered multiple items online. The measurements I had submitted came back perfect. The website is very easy to navigate. You’re able to hold items in your cart very several days, while you make decisions. Once you make a purchase, I’m able to track my orders (can’t let the mrs. Know about everything. Lol!) in real-time and man, are the quick to process. Not only can you see your order but they tell you which orders are still in process (alternations) and which have been shipped all in the same communication. I had to return one item just because I didn’t like the color in person but (Oakbrook store) the gentleman was friendly and professional. Did he try and get me to look around and make an additional purchase yes, and I would n’t expect anything less. But he only asked once. The return process was smooth and seamless. Let me reiterate, I’m extremely focused on customer service and many companies drop the ball on several fronts. I really expected any alternations would take several weeks and possible delays. I can’t say enough how wrong I was. Is this a real post? Yes! Do I work for the company? No! Feel free and reach-out if you have any...
Read moreI love Jos A. Bank's clothes which makes this especially annoying, but the service at this particular store is very poor. I have been here a few times in the past, so I don't know if they hired all new staff or what, but my experience with the three different employees was generally bad. I recommend going to a different one or ordering online instead of going here.
The first I asked if there were any more sport shirts in the store than what I saw in a particular section; he briefly glanced around and responded arrogantly "right here is everything YOU would be interested in". He then walked away; I was taken aback by it. I brushed it off and continued to shop.
My experience with the second salesman was unpleasant in a way that is difficult to explain shortly over text.
Finally, I went over to the dressing room with 4 sport shirts to try on. The salesman there spoke to me like a child "Why don't we start with one of these? I'll place the others to the side". It seems he was implying that the fit of a single shirt would have determined if I was buying all of them. There were two different fits (traditional and Tailored) I was trying, and I wanted to see how the styles looked on me with what I was wearing. I had intentionally worn similar pants to what I wear to work to see what they look like.
I purchased my shirts and left. I will now drive to a further location instead of going to the location closest to me. I am annoyed enough that I may even return the shirts and go elsewhere. I haven't...
