For someone who is trying to book online and is not aware of the definition of "extended stay" this was quite the disappointment. 😞. Reservations staff and the website is completely misleading. The rooms are not renovated. I had a room with kitchenette, two beds, a sofa a two seat dining table and a brand new refrigerator. The cabinet doors were off the hinges and there were signs of roach infestation in every corner of the kitchenette. The sink faucet didn't have a spout, so the water would spill out everywhere - I couldn't use the kitchenette sink, plus the pipes underneath the sink leaked there was water pooled in the cabinet underneath. The bathroom shower and tub was good, the cabinet was brand new and spacious, but the bathroom sink and cabinet also had roaches in the hinges. The toilet paper holder was damaged it needed replacement. The maintenance staff was EXCELLENT! They were courteous, friendly, helpful and kind. It made staying in this "Temporary housing for homeless people" very nice to stay because they were always available to guide and help me. The front desk staff were unapproachable, rough, abrasive, despite the fact that I informed them that I was not familiar with this kind of hotel, and was under the impression that this was a regular hotel. The front desk staff were "nice-nasty" and that made it very difficult to approach them for simple questions such as where to dispose of room garbage. Totally rough and off-putting, Once I understood that this hotel was temporary housing for homeless people, I wanted to get a refund and go to a regular hotel, and was met with a loud rough reply " well too bad you paid for the week, so once you pay, the week its yours, the corporate office is not going to reimburse you just because you didn't know what it was. I'm going to send the email to corporate but they may or may not respond so that's all I can tell you, I will send an email but give me until Monday". SHE NEVER addressed the issue, did not even give me a courtesy call and I'm not surprised. Never again. And I will make sure everyone I know is aware. The website is misleading. Go to the website and see for yourself. ...
Read moreDear In-town Suite , compliment of the day . First of all I am from Nigeria and I came in late due to delayed flight , therefore my booking was cancelled and I have to stay all day/night at the visitors lounge to see how i can be helped. The female front Desk officer was very helpful , a good natured lady and did everything in her power to enable me have a suite the following day as I was planning to relocate to another hotel .
As regards my stay , it was quite eventful, at some point the water was not running, the AC in my room was not functioning and electricity was off for almost 12 hours.Fortunately the hard working maintenance officer replaced my AC with a brand new one almost the next day after my complain .Therefore these areas must be improved upon so that guests can enjoy what they paid for . As regards alternative improvement, I suggest that cooking utensils/plates /cups etc should be provided to guests on rental basis . It will be easier for the guest to rent your cooking utensils etc per weekly at an attractive extra cost of say $3 per week for a whole set of cooking utensil needs.Even if it is one day , you have to pay $3.That will enable guest to be comfortable than seeking to buy new pots and plates for a stay, which is unnecessary expenses to the guest and waste of scarce resources.
Also cleaning brushes /packers should be provided for the guest to enable them clean and maintain their respective suite , that will help the facility a great deal in terms of proper hygiene than living it to the whims and caprices of the guests to provide. Also if the beddings can be changed once in a week (Wednesday) , then i dont see the reason why the towels should not be changed or replaced with a new set ot towels /toilet rolls.
Finally, if a recreational centre /out door bar /swimming pool can be build for the comfort of the guest , that will be exceptional. In all , the In-town Suite is a comfortable place to lodge and I enjoyed my stay. I am from Nigeria and I believe I will be going back with a beautiful memory of my stay. Kind...
Read moreThis particular place should probably be considered an apartment building versus a hotel. I do NOT recommend staying here if you are traveling on vacation. It is very inappropriate for that purpose. The halls are dirty. Trash on the floors. Doors are broken. Riddled with roaches beyond explanation. Me and my daughter were bitten in several places. The room’s walls were filthy as if I’d walked into a project apartment. I scrubbed them down to try and make the place somewhat liveable. But even worst: I’m using my George Foreman grill, right? It’s a hot, smoking, grill. Why do I turn around and a roach is sitting there kicking it?! Saw something on the top of the cabinets, stand on a chair to check it out and it’s a little sticky box FILLED with dead roaches. My husband woke up to a roach crawling on him. It was so bad that we checked out early and were given all of our money back for the time we stayed, but there was still a price to pay. Although we THOUGHT we’d shaken out all our things pretty well before packing up and leaving, we are now fighting roach infestation in our car. Smh. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE AND USED TO POOR LIVING CONDITIONS. Some people can handle it and some can’t. The rooms are NOT beautiful as someone else stated. I’m not sure what type of deal was passed on to the people who have posted good reviews, but the truth is.... this place is terrible. The lobby and that nice tv monitor advertising A DIFFERENT hotel site are very deceptive. I will say, however, that customer service was...
