I am leaving this report after the AWFUL experience I have had with the front desk.
I informed the front desk in a very calm and friendly way about the itchy bumps that my husband and I had. I mentioned that there could be bed bugs and if we can get someone to inspect.
It was our last nignt at the hotel, so to move everything and change rooms at 11 pm made no sense, especially if there could be bed bugs because they can be transferred to any room. We were told the pest control would inspect the next day, and so we waited.
The inspection occurred AFTER we had to leave the room for our flight, and so we were promised multiple times that it would be emailed to us. The drive from our hotel to MSP airport is 2 hrs and some change.
After 3 hours, I called and politely asked for the report. I was told they were going to send it right away.
They failed to do so, and so I emailed following up a few hrs later. Still no report. In my last email, I told them that since I am a diamond member, should i tie in Wyndham because having no report was unacceptable and that I would leave a review about this. Their repose to me was the most awful and disrespectful message ever! I was told that I was pestering them, and they threatened to call Wyndham on me because of MY many emails.
I have not asked for money or my points back. I simply wanted my report that was promised multiple times today that can assure me there are no bed bugs that I am bringing to MY HOME.
Is this because my husband and I are black that you have the audacity and utter nerve to threaten me and not show proper customer service? I am loyal to Wyndham brand, and this is NOT okay.
If a customer shows you pictures and tells you that they think there are bugs, why don't you show some compassion and care?! I have NEVER been treated this way, and the Wyndham brand will hear about this incident.
No threats were made to the hotel. It was constant asking of a promised report that let's me know if I'm bringing bed bugs into MY HOME! But if they do show in my home, let it be on record that it was from this hotel!
Do NOT stay...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the Baymount hotel, everything initially seemed fine, giving us hope for a relaxing getaway. However, after our visit to the hot tub as the sun set, our experience quickly took a turn for the worse.||To begin with, the water in the hot tub was disappointingly cold, failing to provide the soothing soak we had anticipated. The chill was unexpected, especially after a long day of travel, and it dampened our spirits.||As we settled into our room, additional issues surfaced. The air conditioning heating unit was quite noisy, emitting a persistent, rattling sound that made it difficult to fall asleep. On top of that, the cleaning products used on the sheets seemed to irritate our skin, leaving us with an uncomfortable itchiness throughout the night that added to our overall unease.||If you plan to stay at this place, I strongly recommend bringing your own pillow. The ones provided were lumpy and lacked any semblance of softness, making it hard to find a comfortable position to sleep.||Another concern was the morning clean-up. The shower had frustratingly low water pressure, which felt like a deliberate effort to cut water costs. Consequently, if you enjoy a refreshing shower, be prepared for a lukewarm trickle that does little to invigorate you as you start your day.||Lastly, there was the persistent issue of a malfunctioning alarm clock in the bedroom. It buzzed incessantly, creating a rhythmic annoyance that kept us on edge every few minutes. The only solution was to unplug it entirely, which we had to do in the dead of night, interrupting our rest further.||Overall, while the hotel had potential, several shortcomings hindered what could have been a...
Read moreWe checked in Friday 7/19 at about 10:30 p.m. We have 2 little kids so they were exhausted and were ready for bed. We get our keys and luggage, enter the room and the room is SO HOT , the AC said it was on and it was set at 60 degrees barley pushing out any cold air. We sat there for a little bit and hoped we would cool down. But with 4 people in 1 room it was just getting more uncomfortable. We also brought our small dog along, paid extra to have him there. Our little dog found every piece of food, plastic, garbage hidden under the bed, corners of the end tables, he also found dried up fruit snacks that were hard as a ROCK! I could tell that they don't vacuum at this hotel.
So the front desk lady looked to see if there was another room available, there was except the people who booked it hadn't showed up yet. Apparently she said their card was declined. So she gave us a king suite with a pull out couch and bed. The AC was working in the new room which we were grateful for. We did notice that some leftover chips/ food were dried up in the Jacuzzi... NASTY!
The free breakfast needs a little work, they have bagels but no cream cheese! I mean that is just wrong... Muffins were purchased from Sam's club, the ones in the individual bags. They take them out and place them into a container for display. The cups they have you use for coffee and juice are about the size of sampling size.
The housekeeping staff really should be using a checklist when cleaning the rooms, you can tell the cleanliness is lacking...
