I came in to watch game 7 of denver vs wolves. The food was good and the service was good at first. When I went to pay for the bill, I saw some things on the bill that made me question what was added on. Then when we talked it over and I realized that they were deleted from my bill after they were added on, the bartender treated me like I was cheap or as if I wanted to get a free meal and drinks. My bill came up to 44 dollors and something in change. But I still paid with tip, $80. I told the bartender that I wasnt trying to cheat my bill I just wanted her to get a good tip, and not over pay for things I didn't order. It was my friends birthday and the excluded 2 birthday shots from the bill and I was greatful. I told them I'd pay for them, but they humbly declined. What I'm trying to say is, I'll pay for my bill and tip well too. I paid $80 for a $44 bill. Which I believe is a good tip. But then afterwards, the bartender wouldnt even look me in the eye, after I said I'm not trying to cheat bdubs out of money im just trying to give you the best tip I can and pay for what I actually ordered. Maybe the staff had a long day, but not hearing me out made me feel a certian way, It made me feel cheap or as if it was the color of my skin since I'm asian. I don't know... I don't know. Color shouldn't be an issue and justifying a bill shouldnt be an issue also, especially straightening out what was ordered on a bill. And yes I paid in cash while I was in the middle of trying to reason with them. Still they didn't want to look me in the eye as if I was doing them dirty. If you don't believe me watch the camera video. THE THING IS. I DON'T WANT FREE THINGS, I JUST WANT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY, I DONT WANT FREE FOOD. I DONT WANT TO BE COMPENSATED NEXT TIME TOO, I JUST WANT TO BE UNDERSTOOD AND TREATED FIARLY. I don't want the staff to get in trouble or fired/ teminated. Maybe, they had a long day I don't know. All I know is I'm asian and l felt like they treated me like some cheap second rate ameican citizen or like some scum bag trying to to get a free meal. I'm sorry for the review, I feel what I feel. I'm sorry. This is the first time ever being treated this way at bduds. I'm not sure I'll come around or recommend bdubs to anyone ever again. It use to be my favorite place to go out and watch a game and eat. I could use way worse words but that's not what I'm going for. TREAT PEOPLE LIKE...
Read moreOur group came in on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at about 10:15-10:30pm. The restaurant had very few people dining at that time. The service was very slow, taking 45 minutes to get our food and then it was cold. We had had a very long day of traveling nearly 5 hours, sitting at a competition all day/evening and we were tired and starving. Those in the group who's food was cold did not say anything as they did not wish to wait another 45 minutes to have it replaced. Our server (Sarah I think?) returned several minutes after our orders arrived and only asked if we had everything we needed. Not at any point did she ask if our food was satisfactory. She did not return again until last call, at which time she informed us "I'm sure you won't want anything, but it's last call for alcohol." Really??? That's how you train your staff? When she came to collect plates etc she asked one person "Was this not good or what?" He told her it was not and that it had arrived cold. The food and service were both very sub-par and disappointing for this particular chain. And is it not customary to tip based upon the level of customer service received by the wait staff? The service we received was poor and therefore the gratuity left was minimal by some and none by others. As we were walking out the door, "Sarah" yelled across the room at us as she was reviewing her tips "Hey you guys! If there was something wrong with your food you should have just told me instead of not tipping me!" The night manager was right there and opted not to say one word to anyone as we exited. I was stunned that a server would respond in such a deplorable manner and for management to not approach us to inquire about the situation was equally astonishing. I am employed in the hospitality industry at a corporate level. I take great pride in recruiting and hiring talent that best exemplifies our company's culture. It is not an easy task for entry level positions, however, providing great training to those newly hired (and refreshers for seasoned staff) will not only help them succeed individually, but also shed a positive light on your restaurant and company so as to avoid reviews such...
Read moreI arrived with a friend Thursday night right at the tail end of the Packer game. The restaurant was not busy, maybe a handful of tables. We were seated by a friendly host and received Karissa as our server. We noticed her name tag said she was some sort of leader, so we were expecting good service, however we received the opposite. I personally have been a server/bartender and know that sometimes servers have off days, and that after a rush...you just want to go home. However that is no excuse to make your table feel unwelcome. We were obviously the only table in her section however, we didnt choose to sit there. The host chose that table for us. We ordered our drinks and wings through her and she did promptly bring us our drinks and food. However, being that we ordered hot wings....youd think she would have kept a better eye on our drinks. My friends empty Bud Light bottle sat at the end of the table for 10 minutes. We finally saw her and flagged her down to bring a drink. About 5 minutes later she returned with a bud light....and our bills. I went to tell her that I would like another mojito, but she placed the bills down and walked away. She had zero emotion and obviously just wanted to go home. I still had almost all of my food in front of me that I was obviously still working on and she asked if we needed boxes. Our intention was to stay and have a few more drinks but because this server made us feel as though our service was unwanted, we paid and left. We ended up going to a neighboring late night restaurant afterwards and had our drinks there instead. So your establishment missed out on sales and your competition received them instead. Thankfully our food was good. Kudos to the cooks because...
