Privacy Violation - Do not be surprised by a breach of privacy. We booked a room block for my daughter’s wedding at the Lake Worth Casino. As this was going to be a destination wedding for many of the guests, we wanted to give them a more upscale option to enjoy their stay so we chose the Tideline as one of the options. From the beginning, there was confusion between sales managers changing jobs. Prices, room availability and promises for what was provided to the bride and guests was chaotic. Once everything was finally done, we had agreed to host the rehearsal dinner there as well. The hotel, on the onset is beautiful. You cannot deny the ocean view from the back of the resort. The pool area, while nice, was oddly located in the front of the hotel wherein guests had to pass through the lobby and the valet parking to get to the pool. The rooms are nicely decorated with dark wood and white accents. However, the furniture needs updating or fixed. There were so many chips, scuffs and water marks, it was reminiscent of putting perfume on a pig. The walls are thin too. You can hear all the activity outside of your doors. Also, there were creatures, including bugs and crabs making their way into the rooms on the regular. Let’s add the force valet parking at $25/day. As if it’s some big city resort. Ridiculous! The rehearsal dinner was planned for yet it took an excessive amount of time to get food or drinks. This was unacceptable especially considering we had a pre-planned menu with limited options and the dining area, Brandon’s, was not at all busy that night. This was considered off-season, so by all accounts, we were the best business for the weekend. After hours at the rehearsal dinner, the resort was gracious enough to offer breakfast for the bride squad. This was as a result of all the confusion from the original booking. That too took an exceptionally long time. There were very few, if any diners again at that time. On the night of the wedding, an off-duty employee was driving down the road and saw a group of people walking and causing damage to lights at the next door condominium. He immediately identified what he thought as one of the people from the wedding group. I guess sitting at the restaurant for three hours would give someone enough time to remember a face. Nonetheless, someone from the hotel staff then identifies, and provides the name of my daughter, on the night of her wedding, to the police and her name was therein listed within the report. So as a violation of her privacy, my daughter, who was in a room at the time of the incident, now has her name associated with a police report because this hotel felt it was their duty to violate her privacy. For the record, she was never identified to be a part of this group this off-duty employee saw, nor was she in any way associated with what allegedly happened but for the fact that the hotel room she was staying in was under her name. I spoke to the newly appointed manager, Craig. He agreed this was a serious enough concern to investigate why her name was given out. He also noted that he thought it was ridiculous that an off-duty employee would even involve himself in something unrelated to the hotel. Craig, as promised, never called back. When I finally reached out to him, he noted he had done and internal investigation and there were no repercussions to my daughter so he saw no need to call back and that any negative review I gave him was fine. So here it is, his welcomed negative review and lack of concern for guest privacy. So aside from the sub-par accommodations, lack of attention to have a meal in the restaurant within an acceptable time and the over-priced stay vs. value ratio, the staff does not respect your privacy. I would literally check in under Mr. Magoo if you stay here to avoid any of your private information being shared with anyone. If you cannot even have the confidence that your stay is private, why would you stay...

I've stayed at a lot of 4/5 star hotels and have never received the experience I have at this particular hotel. I never write bad reviews, yet alone reviews in general (you can look at my reviews on google). This hotel was above and beyond dreadful. STAY AWAY. Upon arriving my fiance and I received a cold reception from the front desk. Check in was at 3pm, but they did not let us in till 6pm. This was not even the worst part! After settling in we had a semi upgraded room which was still very small for two people. We got a notice at 8pm when we were about to leave our room for dinner we'd have a fire testing at 10am. We'd just arrived and they wanted to do a fire testing at 10am! We wanted to relax as we were on vacation. Around 9:45 am (earlier then they said) we heard a knock at the door. I put my robe on and there were THREE men in suits at the door as if there was an emergency situation all starring at me. No, they only needed the mechanic who came in played with the fire alarm for 25 minutes while we were lying in bed in our robes and then he finally left.
THEN We received another letter the same night saying there re-checking the fire alarms in the rooms at the same time the next morning. It continues again. We then found out it was only on our floor they had been doing testing! We called and they apologized. Would have been nice to compensate in some way, but that was too extreme for the hotel. Why in the morning would they test the fire alarms and not during the day? and not during the day when guests arent in their rooms? No sleep for two nights! Finally after the third night we were relieved to not get another note under our door about a fire alarm. Nope, the next morning we could hear loud talking from the cleaning people and clashing and banging. We called the front desk and they apologized and had the staff try to be more quiet, which only worked for a few hours. I could go on and on, but I'm going to go to the important issue, which is why I'm warning you NOT TO STAY HERE.
They designed the furniture in the rooms to be very tight, even in upgraded rooms. I'm 5'5 and 120 pounds. They have these corner of the beds that stick out almost towards the dressers where the tv console is. I hit the bed posts multiple times and severed multiple bruises and scars that are still prevelent on my knees. We went downstairs to speak to the front desk. The manager was VERY rude. I filled out a complaint form. I sent them photos of my bruises, detailed info, and screen shots of other injuries of guests, while doing so an older man and his wife walked in and he had the same scars and bruises on his knees as me. He then exclaimed the same thing happened to him! Funny enough a few weeks ago a friend of ours stayed there and sent us a picture showing he had the bruises They did not help us at all! I spoke to the manager saying how much pain I was in and had stayed there for over a week and half. He slammed the door on my face and I then asked for a higher up manager. He then went to the fron with me privately and I exclaimed how upset I was. I also have a modeling job where my legs will be photographed and had to have this cancelled due to the scarring on my legs (hence losing money). I then asked for some compensation and he was very defensive and said he would give me $100.00 off my entire stay. I spent a hefty amount there and he was defensive and mean. I started tearing up and he continued to raise his voice. I've never been yelled at by any employee at a hotel before especially a manager and I did not raise my voice at him. I filed a complaint with my card company and they continued to deny everything they did.
On top of that once we left, we found a small spider crawling in our bedroom. Why don't they have insect repellent?
I will never go back to that hotel again. I have never felt more un welcomed in a hotel in my life. Run!...
Read moreUnacceptable for any establishment and WAIVE YOUR RESORT FEE if you stay. Let me begin with that I am not this person to leave a negative review on a business that could have negative impact on a business and the workers that do their jobs; however, The Tideline has been so disappointing I feel it is important to address the issues I encountered and that future guests should know what they are getting into if they choose to spend their money here.
I have stayed in my fair share of budget friendly hotels, and they all outperform the Tideline in so many aspects, so save money and stay there. It is very poorly managed, unprofessional, unkept, and a miserable company to deal with. Please reference my photos. I thought the photos would be cause enough for the hotel to work with me on things that occurred, but THEY DO NOT CARE. I REPEAT DO NOT CARE.
Also, HAVE YOUR RESORT FEE WAIVED IMMEDIATELY as this is no place that would warrant the fee. One of our fellow employees had to walk down for toilet paper, towels, to have their rooms cleaned.
My company booked 5 employees rooms to stay at the Tideline, some for over two weeks and it was a terrible experience from start to finish.
First, we had made many reservations as schedules were changing. And made sure we obeyed the Tideline's cancellation policy and canceled this well in advance of check-in... We called the Tideline, spoke to an agent who let us "cancel" and book other reservations in place of the cancelled ones. Only to find out the canceled reservations were non-refundable and the Tideline will not reimburse us $1 of the $18,000+ in cancelled reservations. Not $1. We ended up extending the stay for multiple days (this is before we knew the condition of the hotel) and brought the Tideline over $30K in revenue. We never got a thank you or an apology for the condition of the hotel.
We only learned of the condition of the hotel, after we realized we had not been reimbursed for any of the cancelled reservations yet and we assumed the Tideline was charging over $75 per night for Resort Fees, so we asked our employees about their experience and to figure out why this fee was so much and they shared the photos and their experiences. They also told us that MANY OTHERS that were staying there DEMANDED THEIR RESORT FEE BE WAIVED and got it... We have asked this of the Tideline as well and were granted this... THIS HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS AGO AND STILL NOTHING. They keep ignoring us.
The General Manager has never returned an email or phone call. I had to find the hospitality group that manages the Tideline to ask for help. They ended up dropping them in the 2 months that we have been in communication.
Their manager has yelled at me and told me "We do not care how much you booked; this is a business, and we will keep the money" and "it is bad when you cancel reservations" I was clear we never cancelled anything that we did not make another reservation in its place. She has never apologized for the hotel condition or that their rooms were never cleaned. They had to go down and ask for towels.
We have had every intention to support the Tideline and if I for one second thought we were in the wrong, I would never ask for something I do not think was owed.
But do not do business with them. I have invoices where we were to receive a credit back and no one will return my call to go over them with me.
There has been no appreciation, no customer service. Nothing.
This is completely unacceptable for any establishment, especially one that claims to maintain a certain standard. This lack of professionalism and customer care is not what I expect from a hotel of the caliber that we thought the...
