Beds clean, floor clean, refrigerator cold, TV and remote ok... front desk, attentive yet NO HOT WATER!!! More specifically, a solid 5 minute wait to receive warm water, then when in the shower you've got literally 4:59 (or less) to grab a steam shower providing a 10 min, 1 star experience. Unacceptable! Especially when its 33° outside in Palm Desert and entering the room around midnight! Janitor comes in next morning, does a wonderful job of validadating my findings by scoring hot water in a record 3 minutes (nice guy but as a plumber I had to explain to him how poorly insulated water pipes combined with a tankless water system was a bad choice for near freezing desert temperatures - as normal low outside temps are around 80° for 10 months out the year). Understanding and maintaining water supply issues for over 7 years as a professional, I am positive than management knows about this issue but has yet to address it properly - so we simply cannot be the first customers to complain about this problem. Not a good experience for my wedding anniversary mini vacation.

This hotel is in a great location especially if you're going to go to the El Paso shops in the main strip. There are lots of restaurants around this hotel. The service was great the breakfast in the morning was fantastic they have a maid to order breakfast. Everybody very friendly very nice. If I look at the price of the rooms versus other bigger chains it's a pretty good place, with this said when we got there to the room it smelled like a pot den and the hot water took like 10 minutes to heat up. I would give kudos to the front desk the next morning they offered us another room but we ended up going to the store and buy febreze and we do travel with our own air purifiers because I am highly allergic to smoke. The rooms are supposed to be non-smoking but right next to me and a couple down the way they were smoking right at the front door.

Ok, let me start with i understand it's summer time and the bugs come out. But we checked into our room and immediately saw cockroches in the room. The AC was set to 80 degrees and when trying to turn it down, the front desk advised us not to turn it below 75 or it would trip the breakers. It's summertime in the desert where its 110 degrees out. We brought our 4 kids, one being an infant and needed the reprieve from the heat. Tried to call and ask to cancel so that we could stay somewhere else and they were fighting us tooth and nail on getting redemption based on the fact that it was too late to cancel. We didnt cancel, we checked in and found it inhabiting. W3 actually love best western.. Just an FYI if looking for a room in the area.

Going to a new place can be really stressful, especially if you are going with family and you have no idea what you booked for your stay. On July third we left bay area around 12.30 am, it was 8 hr drive to palm springs, since check in was 3pm, we had decided to go to one of tourist spots and explore till check in. But firstly the hot weather hit us like crazy, if you are from east bay you would know recently we have been spending lot of time in sweaters, so this was like 40 deg more than what we had plus the exhaustion from whole nights driving. Luckily we made to our first spot and spent time there till 12. Now thinking of going to next spot my family totally said NO they said they heat is too much, plus the ac is pushing hot air so we turned that off. I decided to go to the hotel and just checking of they will let us do early check in, even if they said no I would ask for permission to stay in the lobby but I felt really bad coz everyone was really tired. So I went inside and there was a person there, omg I am so bad with names but that's the reason I put the date on top so if management reads, this guy deserves a promotion. This guy was the sweetest, not only he understood our exhaustion also let us check in two hrs early. Plus there was an issue with next days tour schedule, he also took care of that. I mean thank u so so much. U know when you are alone it's okay. But seeing your family so tired and not getting the rest is sad :( . So we entered our room. To my surprise the room was huge, it was a one bedroom suite, the cherry on cake was the balcony. I've never stayed in a place with balcony so this was so super impressive for me. Very clean, very spacious, very COOL also. We just put the stuff and went to sleep lol. I mean iam so in love with this place. Now if I ever come by that side, I am staying here. I do have a little complain though.:( I mean it was nothing big but still I think you guys should know. So on Sunday 4th July ..we went to have breakfast 7am. The person serving eggs and stuff was there and I nicely greeted goodmorning, and asked him what kind of sausage it is. he said it's pork...so I said ohh okay...can I get eggs hash brown and toast, he gave us sausage also. I said ohh I don't want sausage. He said I asked for it . I said no I just asked what kind it is. He said do you want me to just remove it and by know he looked angry. I said yea u can just remove it. He made new plates which I was hoping he would but I said sorry two times, he dint reply, after receiving my food I said thank you. He still dint reply. I mean it was just a communication issue nothing else. But why make it such a big deal. There are people who come and stay and relax after maybe years of struggle, this kind of gesture will only ruin your days and there's. I mean things happen but doesn't mean you carry it with you everywhere. The embarrassing part is that when they start reacting this way and being loud and rude. There are people around you who started staring. :( This was my only issue, other than this all your staff is super friendly. I love how everyone greets you. Even when we were going on tour, the person at reception said have a great trip ...thank you for a...

This was a great place to stay, and a great value. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The amazing complimentary breakfast made this a no-brainer value, on top of a reasonable rate to stay.

PROS: The location of the hotel to EVERYTHING makes it a great place, especially if you forget to bring something on your trip. The hotel is literally within a mile of restaurants and your familiar grocery and department stores. The breakfast was amazing. They literally will make you (in their kitchen area) made-to -order eggs any way you like it, hash browns, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. If you had to go to a Denny's or any other restaurant to order the food they served, it would cost you with tax and tip close to $20.00 each person nowadays. Figure that into the cost of the room and it becomes very attractive. Just make sure you get to the dining area EARLY on weekends, as the line can get long waiting for your food. 24-hour coffee, hot chocolate, tea, lattes, cappuccinos. They have a machine in the dining area that's open for you to go in, press a button, and get a hot drink. Each time you go down for a beverage, you saved yourself another $5.00. Easy access in and out to the main Highway, and plenty of parking. We requested a room top floor and away from the road, and they gave it to us. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a refrigerator and microwave oven. CONS: This is actually an older property, and it shows a bit. But that's ok, as long as it's clean, and it's updated where it counts. But for some reason it lacked in wall outlets, and no USB charging accommodations. This is 2024, and everyone needs charging outlets for phones, laptops, tablets, etc. We actually moved the sofa around in the room so we could get to a wall outlet. One lamp had an AC outlet, but that's it. The hotel could easily outfit the rooms with charging stations for minimal cost. Also, the light in the bathroom is BRIGHT. OMG, if you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, bring your sunglasses in with you. And the light over entrance door as you walk in should be about another two feet into the room, so it lights the area near the refrigerator and the microwave oven (and coffee maker) better. Again, these are somewhat cheap thoughtful fixes to make a great room even better. The elevator was acting up the morning we were leaving. The door wasn't closing properly, and most likely a sensor problem. Could be from desert dust, who knows. It would close, but then open back up so the elevator wouldn't move. One of the housecleaning staff was familiar with the problem and waved her magic duster on the edges of the door and it started working again. They just needed some maintenance on that important piece of equipment.

Overall, a great experience, minor complaints, and I would absolutely stay there again. Just in case, bring your own...

I recently stayed here for 6 weeks. The rooms were comfortable and adequate. The breakfast chefs mario (i forgot the other guys name) were superiorly friendly. Almost all of the maids were sweet. Gaylin (who i think is the big boss) and hayley continuously went above and beyond on every matter they were involved in..... But wow. I just finished my 6 week tour less than a day before, i was stuck in palm desert for another day so i go to book a room at about 1am. And that's when the amazing experience went to a place of pure rage and anger that would rival the incredible hulk on a bad day. This completely lazy, shady, shifty, terrible excuse for a human being first tries to charge me for a queen room @ approx $120. I told him that i had just saw the standard room priced at $81. He ranted and raved for 10 whole minutes that i didn't know what i was talking about. No i hadn't just been here for 6 weeks, so i showed him the price on priceline... $81. He realized i had him beat so he moved on to another act, telling me that he has to restart the books right this second so it will take about an hour and a half. I am so exhausted at this point all i want is to sleep. He asked my name (something that when anyone else who works there does, only means that these nice people will start respectfully calling you by your name in a very friendly fashion), that couldn't of been farther from what he did. For the remainder of the "conversation" and by that i of course mean me calmly asking questions and this guy mostly just grunting except for the times he used words that were extremely rude and belligerent. I told him that i was going outside for a moment and courteously asked his name.... His answer? Prepare yourselves because this is gold. "I run place not party"... Then i asked again and he just stared me down. I akxed a third time followed with "you wont tell me your name?" He just shoke his head. Now i know i cant call him out by name but seeing as how this just happened an hour ago.... Hes a short middle eastern jerk that was working the overnight of Thursday june 21st to Friday june 22nd 2018. I dont usually insist that people get fired from jobs... But this time im demanding it. Its hard for me to say id never come back to a place that overall was pretty great... But this warrants some conviction. If you ever plan to stay here PLEASE for your own saniry call ahead of time and make sure you are going to deal with gaylin or Hayley. Honesty make sure its anyone but this terrible excuse...
