OMG horrible. I have no idea how they fit high ratings. I waited almost a month to post to give them a chance to make it right. They said they would give me 1 night back credit and didn't after we spoke to them in person then called several times always telling me they would credit me. The room I reserved had a pool view to a very pretty pool, king bed, and kitchenette. First off no office and couldn't figure out where to check in. Then we saw a guy walking around and flagged us down to check us in. We pulled up to our room and h let us in. The door would barely open without using your shoulder to open it. Then he says oh I have to set the microwave up. It had 2 queen beds and once didn't have a bed skirt and the box frame was disgustingly dirty. The floors had only been cleaned around the middle but so much crap against the baseboards. It hadn't been painted since I don't know when. The "art" on the walls were some pictures that look like someone did at a paint yourself sip & paint and placed it stupid places. The furniture looked like 1950 from a thrift store. There was an electrical conduit running down the wall. The curtains were from the same era as furniture. It had a sliding door but no lock so we had to use a metal pole to lock it. The "view of the beautiful pool" was a Jacuzzi at the other end of the common area. Don't even get me started on the fridge and freezer but he swore it was just cleaned and then the person who follows up to make sure it's cleaned said it was done. And the oven 🤮🤮. After he left I went into the bathroom. No shower curtain and no towels. He acted so surprised and actually didn't believe me. They finally brought one that was cloth with no lining and it was stained ane ripped at the bottom. When the towels finally got there, it was a good thing they were hot from just being out of the dryer and I could smell bleach otherwise I wouldn't have used them. Now about the shower. Have you ever showered and just wanted to get out of the shower because it was dirty and you actually felt durtier than before you got in?? That was this shower. When I complained they said they would send someone to scrub it and was still so surprised because it was cleaned and then reviewed again. We had 1 small trash can for the entire room and that was in the bathroom. On check out I complained how bad it was and every time he had a different excuse seating they were remodeling and hadn't got to that room yet. WHAT! then why rent it. Then he insisted on showing me a room that was just done that he did himself and it looked just the same just a newer comforter. The paint looked just as bad. The second room he showed me smelled like urine so bad I couldn't go in. So while I was there he called the owner who he claimed has already put 2 million dollars into refurbishing... during the call they promised to credit us 1 night and a voucher to come back when they're done with the remodel. That was 3 weeks ago and a lot of calls and text messages with promise after promise and nothing. Now I've stayed at some pretty not so good motels and I've stayed even in Needles CA when our car broke down, but I expected it and the price was low. This horrible room was $150/night!!! And it wasn't even as good as a Motel 6 in the middle of nowhere. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Five stars for The Inn at Deep Canyon — a glorious relic of Palm Springs past, still standing proud in a world gone plastic and soulless. This place is the real deal — old-school desert charm where the pool is the beating heart of the operation. Not one of those sterile, “infinity-edge” monstrosities — no, this is the kind of pool Sinatra probably nursed a hangover beside, half-laughing and half-regretting. You can practically smell the history baked into the concrete. The rooms are simple and honest — not trying to out-hipster themselves, just clean, cool, and comfortable. The staff moves with that calm confidence that says, “We’ve seen worse, kid. Relax.” And the location — walking distance to some of the best food in the valley — tacos, steaks, martinis, whatever brand of vice you’re chasing that night. The Inn at Deep Canyon is the kind of place that reminds you what Palm Springs used to be before influencers ruined the word “retro.” A proper desert hideaway for those of us who still appreciate a little peace from the madness

This is off-the-main road place not inconvenient to Palm Springs proper with all the amenities of home if you have a pool outside your back door. It is 60 years old, only 30 units (that all back onto the pool with the front door facing the parking lot. It is designed with pleasing nooks, crannies and French doors that includes the pool and little mini-golf area. The kitchen HAS equipment and utensils. The living room area is comfortable for reading and TV/or outdoor watching. There are tables and chairs outside the door, and also around the pool. There are stone walking pads thoughtfully placed in the garden. Most of all it is immaculate, with the entire bedclothes cleaned with each new guest. The staff works until 6 pm and is still on call because they live nearby. Very impressive, especially compared to major chains in the area and at the same price.

We had a great stay here and would recommend it to anyone on a budget.

The hotel itself is definitely older but I think that is to the benefit of the exterior aesthetics. Even though the property is older, the grounds are maintained very well. The pool and hot tub were clean. They are also heated and open 24/7 as long as you are courteous and keep any noise down.

I think the location is pretty good considering you will need a car when you come here anyway. There are some cute shops and restaurants just a bit down 111 that are worth browsing. Downtown Palm Springs is about 15 miles away and it took us ~30 minutes to drive there which I thought was fair.

The service was excellent. We got in after the front office closed and they had clear instructions on how to get to our room and formally check in the next morning. When we had an issue with our keycard one night, we called the after hours line and a woman came to help us within minutes.

Parking was tough to find later in the night, but luckily there is plenty of street parking right nearby so I didn't find this to be an issue. I found the immediate area to be completely fine and did not worry about my car, but I also never leave anything valuable in my vehicle.

The room was large and provided good value for the price you pay. I appreciated the clean well-sized mini-fridge and the microwave. AC worked very well the entire stay. Wi-Fi was more than good enough for working remotely.

The beds and their linens were clean as were the mattresses (I always check for evidence of bugs). I found the bed itself very comfy, but one of the beds was sunken in in the middle. The bathroom was also very clean.

I think the only thing I would knock a point off for is some of the smaller things that I believe could be cleaned up a bit more. For example, the small living area with the sofa was a nice touch, but there was a rug there that was pretty stained and had a bit of a smell. The sofa itself was also a bit dirty with some crumbs on the surface when we arrived. I think the rooms could do with a bit of a refresh in terms of furniture in general.

Overall though, I was very impressed with The Inn and I would certainly stay here again. Thank you to the great staff who maintain the property and make sure everything...

This hidden gem feels like a "home away from home" rather than a typical hotel and is truly one of the best places you will find for a moderate price.

We had been staying in La Quinta over Labor Day weekend then decided to extend our trip and check out Palm Desert. It was late in the day and we were in the car searching on-line to find a decent place that still had rooms available for a reasonable price. The Inn at Deep Canyon definitely stood out as the best possible option and so we booked a room on hotels.com, then began driving over, hoping the booking would go through by the time we arrived. Within 5 minutes, a friendly sounding guy called us to confirm our booking and wanted to know our ETA so he could have our room ready for us. Hotels don't usually go out of their way to do things like that and it was a personable touch that immediately gave us a really good feeling.

We also had a good feeling when we arrived to find a well-kept, kitchy little hotel with a friendly "ma and pa" type of vibe. The person on the phone turned out to be Kevin, who is the manager and a really cool, friendly guy with a great sense of humor. He immediately made us feel at home and upgraded our room to what was more like a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms and french doors to our balcony- which overlooked the pool and had a full mountain view. In addition to the space being way more than what you would expect for the price, the quality of the bed, sheets, towels, kitchenware, decor, etc. was above and beyond any other place in this price range. Not to mention, very clean and quiet as well!

The location itself is also perfect because its tucked away on a quiet street, yet only a few minutes away from the restaurants, shopping and galleries at El Paseo. We spent a few hours doing that but were happy to get back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of our night chilling in our "home away from home." We had an awesome sleep and spent most of the next day enjoying the pool, which was also very clean and much bigger than most other hotels this size. The other hotel guests we met were also very friendly and many were repeat customers, which I can totally see why. We will definitely be staying at this place again and highly recommend it for all the...
