Decent room with black hole toilet in the bathroom. Taking one Star of though because this room did not have a curtain that closed. Only sheer curtains that anyone walking by the second floor balcony can peer right in and see clearly into the room. I like to sleep naked and don't want to wake up to a crowd of children at my window. Plus the parking lot lights blasting in all night long make it impossible to sleep. At first I got mad, but then I got creative to close those damned curtains. It worked out ok but I shouldn't have to do that. Also contained is a pick of that black hole toilet, I thought it was going to pull me in with it's violent vortex when I flushed it! Overall the room was nice and clean and at a decent temperature when I got there. But seriously, the curtains should close and be functional, not purely for decoration. Nice place overall at a decent price. Would stay again.

Room was clean. Tub leaked a little but on the plus side, all rooms are in the process of being completely gutted and redone. My mom's room had been updated and it was very nice. Loved everything about it and I look forward to coming back and getting to enjoy one of those new rooms. Breakfast was excellent and it's so nice to have this for travelers who are usually on some kind of food budget. The ladies preparing the food were so pleasant and helpful. Cleaning staff was very kind. Pool is so nice since being redone and the poolside towels are an added bonus. It's nice to not have beach towels draped over everything in the room to dry them. Front desk staff was also very pleasant and helpful.

Guest Reps were very polite but sad that management didn’t reach out to apologize for the puke on the bed or offer a discount. Makes you really wonder if they change the sheets. This was my first and probably last time staying here. I highly suggest you always check your sheets and under them! I was told pool opens at 8am but was informed people had a party overnight and they had to shock the pool so it would be open by 11. Is the pool never monitored? I guess you really do get what you pay for. I’m only giving a 2 star because the 2 reps were very polite.

We stayed in this hotel because of the proximity to the local county fairgrounds where our event was being held. Upon contacting the hotel for this event, we were denied the ability to block rooms for our group. One guest in our group tried to reserve a room on Thursday night for the next day, he was told they were full. However we had other folks in our group with no reservation get rooms on Friday for that same night. In addition, the two rooms right beside ours were vacant the entire time we were there, 3 total nights.

There was also another large group staying in the hotel the same weekend, and the guests made everyone's stay a little uncomfortable. There was extremely loud music being played in the cars in the parking lot and marijuana being smoked in the parking lot and on the balcony. The odor was super offensive and was coming into our room through the air conditioner. It was so much that my husband eventually went to the manager and asked her to contact the police because we don't smoke pot and didn't want to start. And I was over listening to my kids complain about the smell in our room. I was also a little worried because it was coming into our room that our clothing would begin to smell. Management contacted them right away and they came right out, after that things started to calm down some, although I think they just started smoking in their rooms because you could still smell it when walking past some doors.

The paint on our room door was chipping off, the door would not close all the way without forcing it shut, so anytime the door was opened, you would have to use the key to unlock it to get it to shut because it would auto lock immediately. Upon entering the room there was an very stagnant air smell, offensive enough that our kids asked if we could get some air freshener, which we did. There was a red stain on the carpet and both beds had some kind of red "stuff" splattered all over the sides facing each other. My kids were scared someone was murdered in the room, but it looked like some kind of brought red drink maybe was spilled at some point. There was hair on the tub in the bathroom. The toilet was like a vacuum literally startling the entire room every time someone used it. Our room was located next to the pool and there was a loud humming noise every night, I'm assuming from the pumps. We also had to get a new key for our door every night we returned to the hotel because the current one would stop working.

The breakfast offered was also disappointing. The only hot options were waffles, microwaved breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. There were bagels, but no toaster. The only fruit were oranges. Not that any of this is bad, but we have become accustomed to a little better offerings at other hotels (also in the Choice family of hotels). We were glad that the breakfast began at 6am each day though so we could get an early start.

The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Despite the issues with other guests and having to get a new key every day, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We try not to complain, we never addressed the stains in the room or the hair in the tub with the hotel staff. And the other guests behavior certainly was not their fault. And they did handle that situation perfectly. The building itself seems to just be run down and the cleaning staff may need a refresher. We may hold this same event next year, however my family and I may look into other options if this is the hotel the group wants to stay at again. I am just not sure I want to take the risk again. With as loud of the pumps were in our room, I can't imagine what it would have been like if we had other people staying in the...

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and have always had issues. Last year we didn't visit Paris because we've had such issues in the past and didn't want to deal with the headaches again. This year we tried again and experience issues again. We had issues with people smoking wherever they wanted to. There were ashtrays and benches in the landings (right by our room) and a picnic table outside of the pool where people would smoke all day. When walking to breakfast people would be smoking outside of their rooms and we'd have to walk through it in order to get to breakfast and we'd be able to smell it in our room. If its a nonsmoking hotel, then you should have designated smoking areas away from the rooms and public areas so that we don't all have to smell it. My daughter has severe allergies and this caused a lot of problems for us during this trip as well as past trips.

We also had a family check in to the room next to ours. Even though the entire floor was empty, the front desk put this family right next to ours and they had a son that ran down the hallway with his friend and you could hear it all day and night. They also were constantly slamming their door every time they went in and out of their room. My favorite was at 10:30pm when the son and friend thought it would be funny to bang on our door and run down and hide by the vending machines. I waited for him to come back and told him next time I was calling the cops. I told the front desk and they said there wasn't anything they could do and said we could move rooms if we wanted too.

Lastly, there's a sign on the pool entrance that says pool is for hotel guests only. But each time we went to the pool, we met families that lived in the area. They'd pull up in their cars and get out in their swimsuits and come on in a swim for a few hours. We had families taking over the pool, with kids yelling and screaming while we were paying guests and only had the corner of the pool for our use. Again, when I asked the front desk I was told that it was only for guests and that I was wrong. None of the local residents would use the pool.

Next summer we will be going to a different hotel. Every time we stay at this hotel we have issues with the smoking, loud and obnoxious guests and the staff not doing anything about it. They made us feel unwelcomed and that all of the problems we had were our fault and us making too big of an...

Spiders, spiders and more spiders! Need I say more?!!! Called the front desk and all the girl said well I can look for bug spray and also had the nerve to say the owners of the hotel also own a pest control company in town like REALLY??!! and then asked us to see if we could bring one of the spiders to the front desk the next morning so they could document to the owners what type of spider.! To top it off the last night we were there we went to pull the sheets back to go to bed and there was a spider in the bed! I think that was like spider #14! This hotel is/was absolutely the worst! We were there for 4 nights for my daughter's wedding and would never have chosen this hotel except it's one of the only ones in this small town. Still this is no excuse for what we put up with let alone paid. Also the bed was terrible. The representative from the hotel came in and realized someone had put the box springs the wrong way and had a huge board running through it so my husband slid off the bed the entire first night. The rest of the staff were very nice but they couldn't do anything about the spiders and so upon checkout I went over all of these issues with the 2 ladies on staff and let them know the ordeals and that we want some kind of credit back etc. And they said they have been so booked and couldn't get the room free yet in order to get it sprayed. Okay so nice move you would rather your guests go through what we did and risk your reputation than to...
