The fact that our room was 100 degrees when we got into it and they did nothing about it when we told them it took two hours to cool off. There were cigarette burn holes in our blankets, stains on the pillows, mold under the mattresses and then we proceeded to find bed bugs on one of the beds. We immediately got our stuff, put one of the bed bugs in a cup and left the room. We were asked by the front desk why we even brought it to them and they told them there was nothing they could do about it at first. We told them we were leaving and wanted a refund and they wouldn’t give us a refund. The manager finally showed up and was extremely rude. He tried to act like it wasn’t a bed bug to try and hide the fact that they had bed bugs. They finally accepted the fact that it was a bed bug that we brought down to them and completely acted like it wasn’t a big deal and a normal thing. All the manager cared about was his money and it took us having to call Super 8 corporate to get our money back after two hours of sitting there arguing them. After calling corporate and telling them we were going to call the Tennessee health department they got extremely angry and started yelling and told us to leave the property at 11:30 at night. The manager know nothing about customer service or how to run a business when something goes wrong and the lady at the front desk also began being very rude. It took us having to explain thing several times to the manager for him to finally understand and it was almost like he wasn’t fully there. If you don’t want a place that has bed bugs, is extremely unsanitary, extremely rude manager, and 100 degree rooms when you first get there then DO NOT stay at this place. It was the worst experience with a business I have ever had, this place needs to be shutdown, Cleaned, and new management and employees put into place. Everyone go ahead and do yourself a favor and absolutely DO NOT stay...
Read moreSomething drastic has changed with Super 8 since my last stay over a year ago for the worse. The room I was given was not clean, housekeeping didn't properly clean room as in sweep floors, wipe down sink or tables, no soap bars left, when bath towels and wash cloths were brought in they were left in a boundle on the edge of sink with no effort to place then onto the towel racks in bathroom or sink area. Bed wasn't made, dead bugs along baseboards near bathroom. Wooden door frame broken in an upper section by door latch, missing plaster on the lower wall by bathroom, tub water wouldn't go down while showering unless the metal stopper was unscrewed. Btw. On the mirror, upper left area there is a message that you must take time to read about super 8 policy on changing of bed sheets and towels. Also on night 1 of check-in 2 Paris Police patrol units were called in for 2 individuals drunk and causing a disturbance in parking lot. Then day 2 as I was backing into an empty parking spot in front of my room door another person drove in and became angry because I had parked in what apparently he believed was his own personal parking spot so to defuse the situation of the guy standing outside his vehicle just staring and waiting I decided to just get back into my vehicle and move to another parking spot. On the positive side though the woman who was working the early evening shift when I checked in was very courteous, polite, helpful and actually seemed to care about service for the customers. Also, the location of the motel was in a good location and they do offer a large newer washer and dryer...
Read moreWell, it's under renovation which will probably help with some of the issues. Rooms carpets are filthy, leaves feet black. There was blood splatter in the bathroom. Pool was super chlorinated, burns eyes for days and irritated skin (but it was warm). Breakfast is okay; white gravy, biscuits, sausage patties, little sausage links, cereal, a waffle maker and assorted bakery items. Hotel is pet friendly but it's $10 a night which you can't mark online so of course that's a separate charge. Front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly but management not so much. There's no towels in the pool area, you have to ask for them, the bathroom is outside the pool and if you go out there wet she will scold you. My young son is on meds that make him have to go to the bathroom more often so in choosing between an accident in the pool area or a wet floor I chose the latter. She storms into the pool area where my 2 kids, husband and I are and singles me out to scold me that she just cleaned that floor and to be completely dry to go out there....hard to do with 1 towel when you really have to go! Was told I can't leave my dog here when I leave (even though he's crated) because he barks off and on (I never left him when people would normally be asleep). So I had to tote him around and leave him in a hot car instead, nice. So for the normal price they charge I'd say not worth it but if you get a discounted rate online then...
