Arrived at a NON BUSY time. The restaurant had at most 5 tables and booths total active between 2 to 4 people.Host(male)sat us (party of 2) at our request at a table. The host was friendly, our server(female) also friendly.Took our drink order and since we ordered buffet(easy table). No sooner did it take for me to get a salad and come back, there was a party of 4 sitting at our table?
Keep in mind there was 2 other tables empty to occupy 4 plus 3 long tables to accommodate at least 8 plus empty booths?
Communication? Too busy?
The 4 at our table stated "this is where that lady(someone else at the host stand) sat us.
The customers noticed it and there was another server(female) busy with her table adjacent.
I asked another staff member to get the manager but made the decision to get up and leave.
WHY DID THIS RESTAURANT STACK THEIR CUSTOMERS ON TOP OF EACH OTHER IN A SPACIOUS PLACE?
I've attempted to contact this number apparently at a busy time where they aren't accepting calls. 6/28/18 Follow-up Facebook messenger and call (professional and friendly) from the manager.
I was told it was an honest mistake and the staff notified the manager promptly with apologies. Me:(*I intentionally don't feel it was done on purpose because there was no excuse for it.they weren't busy just not properly trained). I was informed it was a young staff. I was told that there isn't a seating chart at the host table, they use straw placement. At 7pm,I tried about 6 times to make a call to above number where this establishment was not taking calls at this time but to leave a message. I was informed it was related to the cook...I politely asked not to be informed about the staff but what the service is like? I'm sure this is a fine establishment, the atmosphere extremely clean, the food(unable to taste) looks great. The staff was friendly. It takes just 1 time.
The entire conversation there was nothing mentioned about compensation, just were sorry and hope you come back for...
Read moreMy daughter took myself, my wife, my son and his friend to Old West Steak house. We went around 4pm. We had called and was told it was a seafood buffet along with the steak window. The shrimp was over cooked. You could barley peel it. They did have some fried shrimp that was okay. They had mussels and fried catfish that was over cooked And baked salmon. No steak or beef period, unless you call meatloaf that. This was the extent of their “SEAFOOD BUFFET “ they charged $20. I told waitress that I left a plate full of shrimp not because I was being wasteful. It was because it wasn’t edible. She did offer to have some cooked for me, but by this time I was so disappointed I was just ready to leave. I have always enjoyed the one in McKenzie. But this one has disappointed twice. I will never step foot in there again. Seafood buffet what a joke. I will go to the Chinese Buffet next time. Theirs is only $14 and they have a wide range of actual Seafood and it’s fresh and not overcooked. When you have 2 16 year old boys complain about the food not being good. Boys that will eat almost anything. You know there’s a problem. My sons friend I have seen him demolish some fried chicken before and he told me. This is the worst fried chicken I have ever eaten. I never give reviews but we spent $125 in there with the tip. And I really can’t explain how disappointed we were. Especially since I had bragged up this place to my daughter. She’s from ALA. So I am really sorry I had to do this but it...
Read moreThis was our first and last time here. I don't know how this place has gotten the reviews it's gotten but this place is a hard nope. The potatoes were instant, bland, and to thin. Hubby got the meatloaf and said it was ketchup flavored grease and the green beans still tasted like the can. I tried to save everything with a salad since i really do like them in a heatwave but that was a bust since the lettuce looked old and it wasn't chilled very well. The fried fish was legitimately good a little salty but really the only good thing I was able to find. I've had better food while in the hospital and hubby said he had better food in prison. The only reason we ate what we took was to attempt to avoid the %20 surcharge for food waste but I couldn't choke down the rest of that salad. No one expects complex food at a buffet but let's use food they don't serve in the school lunch room? Real potatoes go a long way with minimal effort. Didn't even bother complaining at the register just took the $65 L and didn't answer when asked if we enjoyed our meal. Wasn't worth making a scene rather just go home and rethink my life choices. I found a dirty bowl on the salad bar, hubby watched some servers not clean very well from under a table that had been used. Seats have duct tape covering holes. The near empty parking lot on a friday night should have tipped us off. I feel like I need to say that our waitress was very nice and so was the lady who checked us out so there's that to end on a...
