Lemon Tree Inn — Hotel in Pomona

We chose this place as it was convenient to our road trip however we instantly regretted the decision. The room was dark and dingy, it wasn't very clean although we didn't find any stains or insects as other reviewers experienced. I didn't feel comfortable using the shower as the bath tub looked too old and dirty. The toilet moved when you sat on it- the actual toilet not just the seat. We didn't feel comfortable in the room or the area and kept our suitcases locked up whenever we left. I felt so uncomfortable I actually felt the need to check that the large mirror on the wall wasn't a two way mirror because nothing would surprise me in that place.||There was a porn channel on the TV, which was right in between the normal channels so that you won't help but come across it as you flick around which is so unideal for families and anyone that didn't want the motel to be even seedier that it already was. You actually have to ask the front desk to take the channel off! Surely you should be asking to have it put on if you're that kind of person not to take it off?||When we wanted to check out we had to wait fifteen minutes for anyone to appear (if not for the $5 deposit on the key we would have just left). During this time a woman came in and started getting angry about the owners and telling us that 'she' is probably in people's rooms stealing from them again which isn't the most reassuring thing...

Disgusting! And overpriced! This place will make you sick! I booked a room online thinking the photos they advertised would be what to expect but when I got the room it was so dirty and run down it made me sick. I asked for a non smoking but found old half smoked cigarettes. The walls were covered in black stains, hand prints, pee, blood, giant holes you name it. The carpets have never been cleaned or vacuumed they were corroded with stains and old food Crumb's. My kids feet turned black from being barefoot for only five minutes not to mention my son stabbed himself in the foot with an old needle pin. The bathroom light switch was hanging off the wall and I saw a roach crawl out of the back of it. The tub was old and chipped and the towels and bed sheets were dirty. And as for security they put toilet paper in the doors peak hole, and the doors top latch was broken and was fixed by a loose screw that didn't work to lock it. The lemon tree motel is the nastiest place I have ever seen. There are no phones or microwaves. Families should stay away its not safe!. LIKES: They switched our room to a slightly better room. Although they only switched bec the toilet was leaking in our first room. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, and clean towels. They had air conditioning and heater. Much parking, close to dennys, Pomona fairplex, and gas station.

DISLIKES: Our first room had roaches, It was all tagged up, Smelled like an old convalescent/nursing home, Furniture all broken or tagged, lights didn't work, mold in some areas, no remote to TV, shower completly dirty, pillows stained & old, shower curtain was filthy, whole in the wall like someone punched it, and the lock on the bathroom didn't work. The second room they switched us to was the same except less tagging but still tagged, a little cleaner but still mold and filth, the lights worked, TV worked but no remote, didn't see a roach in that room thankfully, there were cigarettes in the sink drain, and the bathroom lock worked. Trust me, you don't wanna see photos of the rooms. Everything was basically old, outdated, and filthy. I paid $78 + $20 deposit. So you get what you pay for so I can't complain much; although, I've stayed at places for the same price for better. Wouldn't...
