WARNING: the woman at the front desk might try to scam some cash out of you. I don’t normally leave reviews, but WOW was this a WEIRD experience. The room was fine, yeah it’s a bit noisy and the train is super loud, but you get what you pay for. The service however was suspicious and strange.
First of all, when I showed up to the office to check into my room, the lady at the desk didn’t seem to know what she was doing. She asked what I wanted and I said I was checking into my room (obviously) because I had a reservation. She responded by staring at me in silence with a blank expression and seemed confused. After several awkward seconds of nothing from her she let me inside.
The first thing the woman asked me was why I parked “so far away”. At first I thought she was joking so I just laughed and said I don’t know. Ive never been here before and just parked at the first open spot I saw. I didn’t know where the office was and planned on moving once I knew where my room would be. She kept asking me over and over and seemed serious. I genuinely didn’t know how else to respond. It was almost 11pm and I was exhausted from a 6 hour flight and just wanted to check into my room and rest, but this woman kept interrogating me about parking a couple spots away from the office. It was so strange and honestly annoying.
While I was filling out the form she then asked me how much I was paying. (I chose the “pay at check in” when I made the reservation”) again, I got confused and told her shouldn’t she be the one telling me how much I’m paying? That’s usually how it works at hotels lol. When I asked her why she didn’t know how much the rooms where she stared at me blankly again and didn’t say anything. So I awkwardly pulled up the reservation on my phone to tell her the price I was supposed to be charged. I started to wonder if she even worked there.
After I paid, she asked if I had cash to pay a “deposit” between $10-$40. I said I just wanted to pay in card but she seemed desperate to get her hands on some cash and asked if I atleast had $10. She said the reason I needed to pay cash for the so called “deposit” was because my money would be “held” for two weeks. I couldn’t understand what she was explaining and I just wanted this excruciating interaction to end so I went to my car for cash to shut her up. Before I went back to the office I realized how suspicious this was and decided to tell her I didn’t have cash. I checked my account and the money was already charged. She seemed to notice my suspicion and immediately told me it was fine and I didn’t have to give her anything.
This strange woman immediately soured the experience and left me whiplashed for the rest of the night. I’ve stayed at many hotels and never had a conversation like that with the front desk. It’s honestly very suspicious and I think she was confusing me on purpose to scam some cash out of me for her personal gain. So be weary if you choose...

Check In: She asked me for a cash deposit. I asked her how much she said between $20-$40 whatever I had. I asked if she had change because all I had was high bills. She said $100 is fine and took it. Then said “I am like your bank”. There wasn’t any receipt given to document the deposit given. At check in the wifi information wasn’t given to me verbally or written in a card. I happened to look at the wall to get that information. Most hotel explain it verbally as well as having it in the key holder. Room was booked for 2 people but only 1 key was given.
Cash Deposit: There should be a set deposit amount and it should be advertised. You shouldn’t just take however much you feel based off the person in front of you. Also there should be an option for the deposit to be on a card.
Room: Looked clean overall. Once I got settled I notice there was a cigarette burn hole in the blanket. I reported it to the front desk she told me not to worry about it. There was cob webs in all the corners of the room. There were stains on the bathroom wall. And the room was not what was advertised to use via pictures on hooper. We expected the updated bright white rooms instead we got an old outdated room. When I asked her about the room and switching she said that was the only “premium room” they had available. And that it was my fault that I checked in “late” at 7pm. Instead of 3pm. If you’re going to invest money into a hotel why update the basic rooms and not the “premium rooms”? That doesn’t make any sense. I also do a security check before going to bed and I noticed all the windows were completely unlocked. Not sure why but definitely did not make me feel safe so I locked them all back. There was also a pair of socks found in the bathroom cabinet. The pillows were only 2 and they were super thin like a towel. There was no comforter on the bed just a sheet and a brown blanket & duvet cover. No thick comforter or thicker blanket. There also wasn’t any extra blankets or pillows in the room. Most hotels provide that just in case. There also wasn’t any extra toilet paper in the room just what was on the wall.
Check Out: She came to inspect the room and then told me to have a good day and proceeded to walk away. As if I forgot about the $100 I gave her. I reminded her of the $100 deposit I given and she said ohh okay come with me. And then gave me my $100 back. I feel like that was very shady if I didn’t remember my deposit she would have kept it and gotten over on me.
I will also email this to OYO’s email to speak with customer service. But I wanted to also post this to share my experience at this hotel. It seems as they need a lot of updating and...
Read moreThe plus: The location was easy to get to. That's the only plus. The negatives: After booking and paying ahead of time, and receiving a confirmation code, upon arrival I was charged an additional $150 dollar "fee" payable in cash only. They agreed to accept $120. Seems like a scam, as they wouldn't let it be on my card, then got in the room it wasn't the two queen beds like I wanted and was assured it was by management. When I brought this up, was told it was the only available room and that I couldn't refund or cancel the room as it was after 4pm. Then on top of that, it smelled of smoke, and chemicals, the carpet was stained in multiple places, and the chairs were horrible, no cushion in the seat, hard as a rock, and no sofa or couch in the living room area like the picture showed-probably as it was a different room type and style all together... There was the start of rot at the base of the shower, the room was separate from the living room where the ac was, so it stayed overly warm in the room. Woke up in the middle of the night to getting bit by a bug, and turned the light on and dozens of fleas and mites were everywhere. The next morning I mentioned that to the management and they said that if I didn't have pets in the room there would be no fleas. Unfortunately I don't have pets. I asked about refunding even part of my payment as there were so many problems and they said if I didn't like it too bad stay somewhere else next time. Trust me, I will. It was very unprofessional staff, and unsettling with how they handled everything. Wish I hadn't spent my time or money with them. Very disappointed, as I work service industry myself and was very courteous and polite when I tried to discuss these issues and the brush off I was given. Won't use this chain again as this was a horrible first...
