SureStay Plus by Best Western Quanah — Hotel in Quanah

If I could leave zero stars I would. Others beware! Don't stay here. We walked in and it smells horrible the 2nd floor smells like someone had a crab or fish boil. The room was dirty and smelled just as bad. It was almost nauseating. But we arrived late so we didn't say anything. My reservation was for a king suite room with a second bed was listed as a double bed sofa bed. Upon entering the room and getting ready to go to sleep there was no extra bedding and the 'sofa bed' does not pull out. It is just a regular 3 seat sofa. As I said above it was late and thankfully we had an air mattress and extra blankets and pillows in the car so we didnt complain but just got our stuff and went to bed. The following day, were taking stuff to the car and I stop at the front desk to tell them about the sofa and the man at the front desk looks at me and blankly says, "yeah all of our couches are just regular sofas." And I said but my reservation and the email says a sofabed I paid extra for a sofabed and he again just blankly without any care says, "Yeah sorry all of our couches are just regular couches." It was clear he could care less and I was infuriated so I walked off saying their advertising should be updated to reflect that. So not only is the room dated, dirty, and smelly but they're falsely advertising? And the cherry on top for all of this is upon leaving we found a dead cockroach next to the couch, thankfully it was dead covered in dust like it had been there awhile thus proving how terrible of a cleaning job they do. The only reason we stayed was because it was affiliated with Best Western so I did call their customer service to let them know about all of it because if I were Best Western I would want absolutely NOTHING to do with this hotel. Do a Google search for what Sofabed is and it clearly states a couch that pulls out to make a bed not just a regular sofa. I wanted to ask for my money back but the reaction of the front desk person told me that wouldn't happen so here I am. I'm serious just stop in Wichita Falls or sleep in your vehicle, it is not worth it to give these...

this is my first time ever leaving a review for anything on google. travelers beware.

the first room i checked into at this hotel was in really bad shape. the room itself was pretty clean, but the bathroom/ bathtub were not. there was a bath mat in the tub that looks like it hasn't been lifted up and cleaned under in awhile. there was a puddle of water under it and brown stains. i didn't get a picture of that, i just went to go see if we could switch rooms. the front desk worker was super polite and understanding when i brought it to his attention, and he allowed us to move to a suite down the hall. he also encouraged me to check it first and make sure it looked okay. the bathtub had a similar issue with the bath mat, but looked a lot cleaner in comparison. i had checked the first room for bed bugs and saw nothing, but didn't want to mess the beds up to check in the second room since we hadn't checked into it quite just yet. i went into the second room with my grandmother after we got our key cards, and checked for bedbugs. there was a strange stain on the left mattress on the side against the wall, so i pulled the bed out further to get a better look, and found a bed bug casing almost immediately. thankfully we were only in the room for a couple of minutes and our luggage did not touch the floor before we left. i went into the bathroom to wash my hands after touching the mattress, and a roach ran across the floor. the same front desk worker offered us a full refund and was very understanding. however, the suite has direct evidence of bedbugs and this was caught by us: not hotel staff. thankfully we didn't sit on or lay on either of the beds and got out of there quickly. please be careful if you stay at this hotel. there aren't many options in quanah, so it may be in your best interest to drive 25 minutes further and...

First of all, I arrived to check into my hotel room they cannot find my reservations that I made 6 1/2 months ago which was in January and I was checking in on July 5, 2024. I waited about an hour and 15 minutes they finally came up with a room And realized they had given mine to someone else and they were not checking at all. Someone posed as me and they checked the man. The manager did give me half off my two nights day to try to accommodate the situation which it did not because I was embarrassing in front of a lobby full of people looking at me like I was lying. This was Reunion. I was coming to two. Only hotels in town was booked solid so there was nowhere else to reside to the rooms are not so nice at all need to be updated really bad the whole place needs a makeover there was a room across from me 215 that they have been working on and the door was all busted up and I noticed the homeless man going in there with a duffel bag and food containers and he spent the night there is checking the floors. No one asked any questions. When I checked out. I asked the manager, which is the owner. Why was this guy staying in a vacant room that you guys was repairing? He had no knowledge of the situation supposedly said to me he would check into it. I said well I was told by one of the desk clerks, but it was the maids brother and he had nowhere to go so they’re letting him camp out there. I guess only when The Owner is not around I will not be staying here anytime soon till the hotel get up to standards and the place smelt really bad and there was so many nets everywhere in the hotel, I guess because it was so hot and people were bringing food inside the hotel not again.
