Recently we got snowed in & stranded in Rawlins, WY. We found this cute place with great rates, while the rest of the town was price gouging! They didn't take advantage of stranded travelers. They got us 2 rooms fast. Went above & beyond to make sure myself & my children were comfortable & even gave us gift cards for pizza so the kids could eat & I didn't have to stress. The rooms were very clean, super soft towels, full size fridge, and even offered us to stay as long as we needed until the road opened at no extra charge! The hotel we stayed at prior wanted to charge me $45 to check out 1 hour later but these guys didn't want us worrying about rushing out in the conditions the roads were in. Their mission statement is beautiful & I couldn't recommend this place more. Amazing rooms, hospitality, comfort, cleanliness EVERYTHING was so nice about this place in a scary time.

The owners bought this motel a few years ago, and have been working since to refurbish it. So there's a curious mix of, for instance, new sinks with old, rusty floor heaters and shower drains. Also, the WiFi was pretty terrible. On the plus side, our room had a full-sized refrigerator, and the bathroom had the thickest towels I've ever seen at a motel. But the thing that makes this motel an exceptional value is the location: As opposed to the fancier motels on the outskirts of town, this one is located three blocks from downtown Rawlins in one direction, and two blocks from the Wyoming Frontier Prison Museum (well worth a visit!) in the other direction. The motel is also situated on the city's Walking Path, a 7.5 mile paved trail to highlights around the city, suitable for hiking, biking, or running.

Comfortable mattress, clean, very friendly owner, decent sized fridge, and easy-to-use lock on the door (key pad with an easy number and no key to lose!). A couple of things I’d suggest: first, a new filter for the AC unit. The mildew smell was bad in the room, which I can handle, but whatever the AC was sending out into the air made my allergies act up so bad I couldn’t sleep. And there’s an overstuffed chair where a desk chair would be. It took up most of the space that wasn’t filled by other furniture, and I bumped into it getting out of bed. If someone wanted to watch tv, that kind of chair would be comfortable, I guess, but I’d personally sit up in bed to watch tv and swap out the chair, to gain some space to move around in the room. Inexpensive, though, so the value is right.

My partner and I were traveling and were caught in inclement weather. Since our stop was unexpected, we wanted our stay to be as budget-friendly as possible. In this area it seemed that our options were under $100 and over $200. There was nothing mid range. ||The first two places I called didn’t answer and had voicemail that was not set up to take messages. The Brickyard Inn was my third call. By that time, my cell connection was spotty at best. Diana quickly took my credit card information and told me that she would text me the details. This was the absolute easiest lodging check-in that I have ever dealt with in my life. They texted me a key code to the door, the room number, and I didn’t have to make an appearance at the front desk. Diana sent me information about local restaurants that would be still be open at our late arrival time. ||If you expect anything other than an aged, budget motel, then you will be disappointed. My expectations were incredibly low, and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the room was. It is definitely an older building, older fixtures, but… I can deal with old so long as everything is clean. ||I hope never to be caught in Rawlins, Wyoming unexpectedly ever again, but if it happens, I know the first phone call I will be making will be to the...

We stayed here back in 2023 this is by far the best hotel that we've ever stayed in the United States when you come to the brickyard inn you don't just come to a hotel room, you come home. the beds are extremely comfortable every other hotel that we've ever stayed in all over the United States the beds feel like they are 2x4s covered with a fitted sheet as a mattress not these beds here it's like sleeping on a heavenly cloud the showers are very clean the water gets very hot it is very very very very very very comfortable here the various amenities such as a fridge TV and microwave and a wonderful AC are included the owners Mike and Ruth are the nicest people that we have ever met in our life and we have been all over the United States we are on our way back West from Pennsylvania as we were coming through we remembered the brickyard inn and said YES absolutely worth a 200 mile detour. I would also like to add that I really appreciate the faith in God here I really feel as if we are in a community of brothers and sisters of Christ thank you so much...

I drive long trips with many one night motel stays. This place is one I will use on a regular basis. Not for everyone. This is a great value for any solo or couple traveling on I-80 in Wyoming. The parking lot is pretty full & is sloped. This is a smaller older motel that a local family has put a lot of emphasis on cleanliness, small amenities & has a Christian warmness. No breakfast, but in room coffee pot & fixings. Study chair, several small tables, dresser, full size bed, full size frig, microwave, closet & a large shelving unit. Cozy bathroom has a new sink & toilet, vanity lights and frosted glass window. Lacks enough outlets, made up with powerstrips in all of the floor ones. Bed firm enough, bath towels plain, but thick & soft. There even is a small basket with several cleaning rags in it for you. I looked hard to find dust or grime to no avail. Extremely clean polished wood floor - all glass, the mirror & surfaces areas too. Monthly & weekly clients stay here too. At around $90/night with taxes - will not find a better deal....
