Red Lion Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Red Lion

We recently were invited to a wedding in York, PA, and when we tried to book hotel accommodations, we found out that there was a train show in town the same weekend, and there was simply no rooms available. We had never before stayed in a B&B, so we really didn't know what to expect. The website for the Red Lion B&B simply does not do it justice. It is a warm and wonderful place. The proprietor, George, is extremely helpful. The location is off major thoroughfares, easy to come and go. The B&B offers six rooms, and our family members, all guests of the wedding, took five of the six rooms. Each of us was perfectly satisfied. We felt as if we had all come together in the home of a family member. We all just loved it. I cannot say enough about the place. If you are looking for a very reasonably priced room, in an exceptionally clean facility, with lots of nice perks, like a small gift basket in each room and candy, tea, and coffee available 24-7, and a delicious breakfast included, this place is for you. When I saw my own china pattern on the table for breakfast, in the lovely dining area, I knew for sure we had made the right choice. Kudos, George! Keep up...

LOVE LOVE LOVE. This place was really beautiful and so clean, a quintessential bed and breakfast . The beds and pillows were also very comfortable and we really appreciated our complimentary snack basket and the Keurig right out in the hall. Lots of board games, movies, and books to choose from as well.

The owner and his family where very pleasant and accommodating, too. We had a wedding that completely overlapped check-in time and the owner happily provided us with a check-in time that worked. In addition he asked us what time we would like our breakfast ready. There was no getting up super early to make sure you get the food fresh, they make it fresh based on your schedule!!

And the breakfast.... WOW. I don't even like to eat breakfast and I couldn't get enough. It was so amazing and am half-tempted to make an excuse to stay again just so I can eat there.

The price is unbelievably amazing for how wonderful this place is and if you're in Red Lion and don't stay here, well... you're missing out!!

Do yourself a favor and stay here!! My husband and I booked a room at the Red Lion B&B for a wedding in Dallastown. The owners were so accommodating and understanding after plans changed and we would have to check in late on our arrival date. We were also upgraded to a larger room with no extra charge because we were one of the few people that were staying there that weekend. I believe we stayed in the Colonial room which was so adorable and cozy. They have window units for the rooms for A/C and our room stayed nice and chilly even on a hot September day. The breakfast made by Dani (the wife) was simple but delectable. She even remembered that I liked Earl Grey tea from the first morning and had it waiting for me at breakfast the next day :) We felt as if we were staying at a high end hotel with the perks of a family friendly atmosphere and the charm and personality of a historical building. We cannot wait to come back and stay longer next time! Thank you so much...
