Buyer beware here! Meaning, be aware that they have a 3 story building & parking garage ACROSS the street, & can place you there without your consent or original booking choice. Which is what happened to me, and the desk Manager didn't care. In fact she told me it was Expedia's fault or set up that did it. I told her that I didn't use Expedia & proved it to her with my online AA Advantage hotels email receipt. Receipt that showed the beach hotel address & not the address of the building across the street! Instead of trying to resolve the situation, they wanted an up charge for getting me placed on the actual hotel beach property site. So, they had the room I wanted/booked, but wanted more money to be at the right address. Unreal! Decent place if you are on the right beach property, but if across the street, not worth the price being asked online! RESPONSE to Owner: You didn't catch the most important part of the AA Advantage booking, that it was for the beach side address, not your across the street address. Secondly, AA Advantage travel states that it uses Rocket Travel-Agoda, not Expedia (see attached photos). Even if you see Expedia on your end & the wrong info on your end, is moot! My receipt is/was for the beach address & what I booked, a Standard King (as noted) without the Across the Street B.S. On face value (receipt for expected service and location), you are totally & technically wrong. Be humble, instead of trying to make an excuse. You clearly have two addresses. Clearly my receipt was for the beach address Mr./Ms. Owner, not your "Across the street" nonsense. Who is going to pay a beach rate for across the street? Be humble sir/ma'am, or I'll gladly report this to the FTC, BBB, and the State Attorney General for potential fraudulent or deceitful business practices. I tried to work this out with your desk rep at check-in, then the next day with your Manager. And guess what? Here we are. IF anyone had this happen, I'd suggest you make a dispute for services not rendered if your receipt showed the beach address, vice the "across the street address."

Okay, so we were a little reluctant to stay here due to many reviews of this place. However, hubby and I were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. Check in was simple, but will say the guy at the front desk, who rides around on a Segway, has no personality. There was no friendliness, just business only. One would expect some form of welcoming, especially considering how many hotels and motels are in the area. But, on to the pool and garden area - pool looked very inviting and the garden is very pretty. It is our "winter" so some vegetation has a tendency to go dormant. Let's just say it was well kept. Moving on to our room, which was waterfront. WOW!!!! For a mom and pop hotel, we were not expecting what we got. Updated with crown molding, shutters, microwave, refrigerator, granite looking countertops, plenty of cabinet space. The bathroom had a closet, separate counter/sink area, stone flooring in the shower, nice tiled walls, upgraded shower enclosure, and large mirrors. Bedroom had a comfortable king size bed, one night stand (needs 2), a corner chair and a HUGE tv. And, it looked right onto the beach. There is a picnic table right outside the back door that specifically says "reserved for ....." but other guests obviously can't read, or don't care and use it. There was a pull out couch in the living area, a round dining table that seats 4, another HUGE tv, cabinet, and side table. Open the back door and you are right on the beach, with a few palm trees. There are a few grills to use, so bring your own food to cook. Check out was quick and again not super friendly, just business. Overall, we will definitely stay at this hotel again, soon. If you are looking for fancy, then I suggest looking elsewhere. But, if you're wanting comfort and a simple, pleasant stay, then check it out. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is lack of friendliness from the office staff. Oh, only about 11 parking spaces. So, you may have to park elsewhere.

The hotel is located in a nice relaxed area, free from the large resorts. Theresa nice garden area in the interior of the hotel. Rooms and linens are clean. There is free Wi-Fi (but the password was changed every other day, meaning you had to go to reception to fi d out the new password). Beds are quite firm. Pillows aren't very good (consider bringing your own?). Beach (ocean) is directly out front, which is nice. Room prices are reasonable. There are gas grills available for use. The rooms have a fridge, microwave, and toaster. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have any dishes, silverware or glasses you can use. There is no breakfast. The rooms all face the pool, which gets loud. Housekeeping started vacuuming outside before 9am several days (in case you are trying to sleep in late). At night, the hotel shines incredibly bright LED lights at the pool (safety precaution?), which shines into the nearby rooms. The door has a small window in it, which allows this light to freely enter the room. The blinds in the room also let in light. This makes sleeping in the dark an impossibility unless you cover your eyes with something. Parking is also a bit of a challenge. There are about 10 spots out front, and then the overflow parking is across the street (which can be somewhat difficult/dangerous to cross). Checkout is at 11am. You can stay late at a cost of $10/hour plus tax. Overall, I'd say this is more of a no frills motel versus hotel. Set your expectations accordingly.

I really did like it. I had a great experience overall. The office staff that I worked with (Kary and Susan) were both fantastic. The rooms were clean and cute. Being able to walk right out to the beach was exactly what were were looking for. Its older but I felt they are renovate nice and they are cute. We stayed upstairs which was ocean view and the double bed room was perfect for my family of 4. We did hear a little bit of ruckus on our top deck/patio around 12:30am our first night, it sound like teens up taking a peek of the view however they were a bit distrubing and disrespectful which make me wonder why a gate is not installed for the top rooms to prevent people from walking on up. I was convinced they didnt even belonged at the hotel, but walked in from beach side. As for the room, a few things I would have liked. A rug inside the front door is needed to dry feet. The tile wood plank floor is nice but my son came in with wet feet and slipped and bounce his head on tile floor on day 1. A few luggage rack would have been appreciated as there is ample space for them and all our bag were on the floor. A few wall hooks would also be nice. Again, ample wall space to have them. I like to hang my purse and book bags etc. Please provide a broom and dust pan, tile floor and sand sucked after showers and baths. A larger kitchen trash can. A regular full size or 4 cup coffee maker. That was a big let down as we called specificly about the coffee makers and was told they were the single cup pods like you get at the grocery store. So I made a special trip to get pods of the coffee brand we love. To find out it's not pods but pouches. We are coffee drinkers and to go all weekend without really was a damper for us personally. Coffee pouches were provided but it was like drinking hot water to us as we drink a dark blend. Which is why we specificly called. I also asked about hair dryer in rooms and the one in 240, the high low button does not work so to dry my hair on low setting took forever!!! Lastly, it was raining the day we arrived and the upstairs balcony has a low spot that held water all weekend. It would have been nice if maintenance could have blown the water or squeegee it the next day. We walked around a mini pond all weekend and the lounge chair were sitting in the pond. But with this experience and the things I've shared I still think this is a great place, very clean and could only get better if they implement some of these suggestions. We will...

The location is key here, it has that going for it. But The room we paid for was significantly smaller than the image in the link when booking. No table or chairs, it was a tiny efficiency unit. We paid almost $400 a night through delta stays, and thought we reserved a NICE HOTEL, not a party barge. The room was clean and recently refurbished, but half the outlets didn’t work, the grout was coming loose in the shower floor, the room floors were tile and incredibly slippery, no rugs which meant a lot of sand everywhere. The rooms were small, nowhere to sit but on the bed, nowhere to eat except outside…the blinds barely closed so we bought packing tape from Publix to close them for privacy…the TV was constantly going out from poor reception/service so no local channels or news was available. People were bringing in a LOT of guests who weren’t staying in the hotel so we couldn’t really enjoy the pool or amenities. They didn’t seem to have any control over rowdy unpaid guests who basically camped there all weekend and just let themselves in off the beach. The Walkway was littered with people’s stuff and was an obstacle course and ADA violation for anyone in a wheelchair, so if your handicapped or require a wheel chair..accessibility is an issue. Vending machines were all broken and empty. People were drinking in the pool, even with glass bottles, music was blasting ALL day and night from a giant speaker a guest brought and the hotel manager refused to moderate. We were kinda miserable till most guests left 3 days in…this is a Party motel with a paint job being sold as a resort, and we were grossly overcharged to spend summer break with guests who left all their trash on the beach and had no consideration for a shared space, the beach wildlife, or cleaning up after themselves…we would have asked for a refund but they apparently need the money more then we do…It’s too bad considering how so many businesses are trying to reopen and thrive after Helene and Milton and we wanted to support an area we used to vacation at when we were younger as our first vacation as a couple. The area has sentimental value to us. This place needs better or more consistent management and needs to implement its own rules and policies. They also charged our card an additional $1700 that was reversed without our knowledge. If we had paid $150 a night this would be a...

By far the best hotel on the central west coast of Florida! We stayed for three nights, from 8/21/16 - 8/23/16 for our honeymoon, and I just cant sing enough praise! I've lived on the coast my entire life and have stayed in quite a few beach front hotels- chain and boutique- and can without a doubt say I've never stayed at a cleaner, more beautiful, more hospitable hotel. This hotel sits RIGHT ON THE BEACH! No annoying pool or noisy bar between you and the sand- even if you're located next to the pool! If you're on the back side of the hotel like we were, you literally step out of your door, onto a small paver patio, and INTO THE SOFT WHITE SAND!!!! It was like dying and going to heaven! The rooms are lovely with quality linens, granite countertops in the kitchenettes, faux wooden blinds, large crown and base molding, stainless appliances, large windows, your own remote thermostat for ACTUAL air conditioning (and in what hotel do you find that?!) All of this in addition to king or queen beds that are to DIE FOR (we had a king room, downstairs, oceanfront- request room 116 if you can...it's perfection!) We never heard the guests that we KNEW were above or next to us. The staff is very friendly and beyond accomodating! Poor Gary, from the front desk, had to let us in our room at 10:30 PM on a Tuesday (staff is offsite after 9 PM) because we foolishly locked ourselves out with the "I thought you had the key" scenario. I apologize for forgetting the two front desk lady's names, but they were wonderful as well! Never a smirk or irritation present- and we asked for forks, an iron, an extra key, etc. The hotel was quiet (though not full) for our stay. They also provide six large propane grills for your convenience- and what a blast it was to cook our filet and veggie kabobs on the grill at sunset, and then enjoy them on the round picnic tables on the beach under the palms! Their pool is very clean and sits in the middle of a gorgeous courtyard of Palms and Crotons among other various tropical plants. They also provide two hammocks, and plenty of quality lounge chairs for your convenience. My husband and I have decided this will be our go to beach gem for the rest of forever...A definite visit is in order every anniversary from here on out!

Thank you, again, to the Hotel Sol for an...
