This place was a stopover while on a road trip. A big part of my choice was the "free breakfast" listed in their ads on multiple sites. I'm actually relieved that they lied about breakfast because the motel was absolutely and horrendously disgusting. I'm positive even a microwaved frozen sausage biscuit would have given me food poisoning. The coffee sure did.
The property itself looks closer to being condemned than it does to a functioning business. I smoke, but even I couldn't escape the stench of stale cigarettes and what can only be described as musky bong water. The elevator walls were smeared with grease and grime. The carpets looked like they used to be red. Unfortunately, years of neglect and bad cleaning policies have allowed layers of shoe scum to build up and have turned the carpets a crusty reddish-brown. The lobby has that smoke smell with the addition of dollar store cleaning chemicals.
The front desk person who checked me in seemed like they really didn't want to be there. Not directly rude but for sure they did not care. That's perfectly fine. Maybe a family member forced them to work a night audit. Doing an overnight shift in general just simply sucks. I can't fault him for that. I do fault him for being knuckle deep in his nose before grabbing my card though. My favorite part is when he whipped his booger picking finger on his shirt only after giving me my card back.
Now for the main event, my room. Every single item seemed to have some kind of stain. I'm reminded of Get Low by Lil Jon. From the windows to all the walls were a number of stains that'd make any adult theater blush. I stripped the top linens and put down my own blanket. No bed bugs on the mattress but, again, the stains. Spots on the wall were caked with dried old food. at least I hope it was some kind of chili and not vomit. If it is vomit, whoever threw up seriously needs to see a doctor. Same moldy bong water smell as in the halls. Some kind of security or employee kept banging on neighboring doors looking for someone and loudly radioing back to the front desk. The shower was surprisingly clean, comparably at least, and the water pressure was great. The faucet and fixtures were badly rusted. So, you're good to take a shower if you avoid getting any water in your eyes.
I've worked in a hotel and truly believe these rooms are very rarely cleaned, if at all. I'm also certain that they only take the top blanket to wash but everything else is left behind for the next guest. They have signs up in the halls that still say they're renovating. Just how many years will renovations take and when do they start? For your own health and safety I would recommend avoiding this place...
Read moreA Bad Dorm Room! We booked the hotel for location, price and the complimentary breakfast. We checked in to find there was no breakfast being served. We unloaded and went up to our room to find that neither of us being able to get the electronic lock to unlock. I went back downstairs to the desk where they reprogrammed the key card. Back upstairs and...the door would not unlock. Moments after an employee who had been downstairs and heard my conversation came up to see if we got in. He was able to get the door open because he knew just how to hold the card and position it. We walked into the room thinking that it did not have a bed (see photos). We could have played pickleball in the open area. It was a small suite that was primarily unfurnished. There was not even a stationary chair that I could sit on to tie my shoes (you know how high a hotel bed can be). We were getting ourselves unpacked when there was a knock on our door, it was the two employees from downstairs who arrived to fix the lock. So, I let them work on that. We had bought dessert earlier and I thought I would heat up some water, make a cup of coffee. No coffee maker. I followed the employees out asking for a couple of cups for hot 🔥 beverages. They only had lightweight plastic water cups. I got in my vehicle to find someplace I could get beverages. On my return I turned on the television to try and relax a little. It powered on, that was it. I could not get it to do more than that. There was 'No Program Information ' for any.channel. A new TV, but evidently never hooked up. I turned it off. I sat on our bed (what else could I do?) hunched over a side table eating my dessert and drinking my coffee. Over the next three hours I listened (through the thin walls) to guests in the hallway yelling and fighting and later in the surrounding rooms. No Smoking rooms-the building wreaked of smoke. When we first walked in the room it had an incredibly strong smell which I can only compare to the fake lemony product which is used in rental cars. The best part of the stay was the hot shower in the morning. It was simply a bed to lay my head and shower. This room should never have been offered in the current condition. The bold painted stripes (Dorm like) is...
Read moreStaff was professional at checkin and checkout. The first night we got in late and we went to bed. In the middle of the night someone called my room, I didn't answer or go down to the front desk.
The people above me were running around, so I thought it was due to that. I asked the guy the next day if the front desk called my room.
He said "NO" and smiled.
I went back to my room and on the way their a cleaner guy stopped me in the hallway and tried to ask me out.
I told him I was unavailable.
He even took it as far as asking me if I had two girls with me?
Everytime we came out of the room, he was their. After I let the guy down, he got mad. We left the hotel and my son asked why they don't have microwaves in the room.
The cleaner guy came up and started talking to the front desk guy in foreign language as we ended the coversation. When I looked back he was glaring at me.
Like jealous stalker vibes.
We came back to the hotel at night time and went to bed. The next day we checked out and their were pill bottles on the hallway floor and people sitting in hallway.
This place gave of a fowl odor of human trafficking. I will never go back their again. One of my cards came up missing out of the room and i will not go back to get it.
I will report it stolen.
The second night they tried to shut off the wifi connection, then i called the front desk and it started working again within 2 minutes.
I dont know if that cleaner went in the room while we were gone, but he gave me bad vibes. And something felt off staying at that place.
The second night when we got in the dryer and the door lock from the inside had been tampered with. Like they could of had devices in them that recorded us.
The beds were comfortable....
