The Inn At Rye Place — Hotel in Rye

I can’t say enough good things about this inn! For starters the staff was the friendliest I’ve ever experienced in a hotel . I felt like I was staying with family or friends. The owner was there every morning to personally greet you. The place is beautifully decorated and spotless. The price was very reasonable for all they do. The grounds were beautifully landscaped. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. And they come to refresh your rooms every day. I’ve stayed at quite a few hotels through Covid times and none of them are cleaning your rooms still! They have a grab and go breakfast in the morning and they even have water bottles. The location is great. It’s very quiet which makes it relaxing, but close to the action if you’re up for it. We were 5 minutes from Water country. One night we went to Hampton beach about 10 minutes away , to see the fireworks and see a band play. We we’re glad to go back to a quick place afterwards . It’s close to Strawberry Bank museum in Portsmouth which we enjoyed our 11 year son loved it also. The Kittery outlets are about 20 minutes away. And about 10 minutes to Rye beach, the inn has 2 town beach passes you can use ( first come first serve) we had no problem getting one. We go early and then return when we’re done, so someone else can use it. We would definitely come back...

We stopped at the Inn at Rye Place for a night on our way to Bar Harbor! From the moment we arrived we felt at home! The owners were so friendly and kind! You can tell they take pride in the property! They called the day of our stay just to touch base! The rooms are immaculate! Extremely clean, cozy, and comfortable! The owner even walked us to the room to be sure everything was okay for our stay! He was so fun to talk to! Ask him about local restaurants and things to do in the area! He gave great advice and recommendations! You are centrally located and in a nice safe area! Just a beautiful spot! We are going to make The Inn at Rye Place our go to spot from now on when we travel to Maine! I wouldn’t have to go to any other place to stay! They have you spoiled!! It’s rare anymore to find such kind and friendly people who enjoy what they do. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of!! Doesn’t get any better than that nowadays!! We appreciated our stay and can’t wait...

Several years ago, my sister and I stayed at the Rosewood Inn at Rye, which was comfortable but a little dated. When we recently planned another visit to Portsmouth, we looked it up, only to learn it had a new name and was under new management. We went ahead & booked it and were delighted by the changes. The rooms have been completely modernized and decorated so beautifully. There is new and attractive landscaping, with firepits and outdoor seating areas. It has a brand new laundry room, with washer/dryer, and vending and ice machines. Everything is impeccably maintained.

An added bonus are the delicious grab n' go breakfast options at the office. Finally, the front desk staff was always so friendly and helpful -- shout out to Fran!

A wonderful place to stay while we explored the NH coast. We hope to come back for a fall visit, and will definitely be staying at the Inn at Rye Place!...
