Wagon Wheel Motel — Hotel in Saco

I booked online through the business website, June 23 for 2 nights July 3,4 checkout 5. At first we thought we may be bringing our 2 small dogs (extra money per day) but luckily we were able to find a sitter. I called the office (June 27) spoke to the office (Amber) very friendly, she explained it would have to be 14 days notice to do any edits as per terms and conditions. I asked to speak with the owner of the property, who called back within minutes, I explained our situation, and feeling kinda ripped off at this point. She stated if I cancelled I would still have to pay as it's not 14 days. Instead of being out of a place, money, and struggling we decided to go. No dogs tho. We wanted the fireworks without scaring our dogs. Our day we arrived I thought it looked cute, pool and easy off the highway, and close to Funtown Splashotwn, OOB pier, (use the trolley for $2!), however I was worried where we would park as it is very tight around the cabins. We worked with it, just be careful as bushes scratch your vehicle on the far side. We used the driveway around the back as it was better for the truck. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice and fenced in for the little ones. The cabin itself is ok. Ours had 2 queen beds, small kitchen (we only used the small fridge) and full bathroom. Tv worked, water worked, and good open concept. We had issues with the drains in the bathroom, very clogged and floor was very dirty (see video) Bed was ok, but the floors were dirty. There was a broom and dust pan so I swept it up. Also found these 2 big screws That's why I'm giving 3 stars. I gave the girl the screws and our key at checkout and advised of the clogged drains in the washroom. We came for the July 4 celebrations, still had fun, and shopped. I stayed with my parents at Wagon Wheel Motel for a mini-vacation this past week (7/24-26) and had a very fun stay here. This motel is located in a relatively quiet area, but close to all tourist attractions and areas of interest (only a half mile from Funtown Splashtown, 4 miles from Old Orchard Beach). Our room was perfectly clean with plenty of amenities to help make our days full and satisfying (e.g, hand soap, hand & bath towels). The staff here are very hard-working and approachable, doing a fine job with tending to the garden, cleaning the pool, and cleaning the rooms for guests. In particular, Norisa is a very sweet, friendly girl who is talkative with guests and goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone has a fun time. The swimming pool is nice and runs from 3 to 8 feet deep, so it's ideal for all ages. It's also nice to have hourly trolley service, though we didn't use it on our first trip (next time for certain!).
