I made a prepaid reservation for the Quality Inn Salina directly on the Choice Hotels website about a month in advance. When I arrived, the person at the front desk said "the system could not assign me a room." Apparently the computer was having issues. ||He called a manager, but was apparently told there was nothing to be done and that I should look into booking a different a different hotel. I calmly tried to explain to him that given it was a prepaid reservation, if they indeed had no rooms that I should get my money back.||He looked a bit flustered and said there was nothing he could do, but that I should call Choice Hotels to work out a refund, and that I could use the lobby to make the calls. Quite frustrated, I quickly left and drove over to the Econo Lodge down the street to get a room.||A few minutes after settling into my new room, I got a call from a manager from the Quality Inn saying that they indeed had a room for me after all and that the person at the front desk was new. I explained to him that I already got a room and that what I really needed was a refund.||He said he'd look into it and that I should call Choice, which I did the following day. The representative from Choice said she instructed the hotel to issue me a refund, but it has never showed. I really don't care about the refund at this point, but I'm hoping this property can get it together.||I can't comment on the actual room, but based on my experience, I would recommend to stay far away from this...
Read moreWhile the price was right, the service, amenities and breakfast were NOT!!!! I checked in late, asked if there were any second floor rooms available; the desk agent says it’s fine you have room on first floor. Okay moving right along . Sorry I asked. Get to my room and find out the TV didn’t work after attempting several times to get it to come on. I go to the desk and the agent says, “it’s fine room nice tv work” after I told him the tv would not come on. “ just turn on it work” okay, sir I just told you it won’t come on. He then says he’ll send someone to check and fix it but they never came. In the morning I requested a half hour late check out in case my work phone call went over a bit and He says no sorry check out is 11am. Fine, that’s the policy, but after the many inconveniences it would be nice to have someone provide customer service. Also, the breakfast was about all out of food so only could get a stale cinnamon roll. Lastly, I wanted to use the pool, hot tub and spa but it doesn’t open til 9am (late in my opinion) thats all. Again, it is the policy but disappointing especially considering the other let downs. The bed had some white stuff on the blanket . Not sure what it was and overall just a run down dirty hotel. I guess for $35 bucks or so it does the trick but I wouldn’t stay again; the reason being 99 percent horrible customer service and rude front desk owners/ or whatever they are. Welcome to the Rodeway Inn! Have a pleasant...
Read moreWe booked here the day before we arrived for a spontaneous road trip to Moab. It was inexpensive, which was what we were looking for. But do not expect it to be like a five star hotel, you get what you pay for! The manager was extremely helpful and kind. The lobby and our room was orderly (place was dusted, put together, vacuumed), but in no means was it CLEAN. Our socks would stick to the carpet as we walked (it got so annoying that my husband and I just played the floor is lava the rest of our stay.) The table was sticky and the fabric on the chairs was stained, the blanket cover smelled of body odor, and the tile had dirt spots that seemed to have been there from the beginning of time. As I said at the beginning, this is what WE expected with the price, but this is a warning for those who are not. This place allows animals, and people with extreme animal allergies should know and be prepared!! My husband is allergic to anything further and had lots of coughing fits through the night. All in all it was a place to stay and it Definitely wasn't as horrible as it could have been. We are grateful for the place to stay when...
