STAY AWAY!!!!!! If I had the money, I would pay you to STAY AWAY
**Update 2: After speaking with a MGR, they agreed to return my "pet fee". Emailed me a invoice I never got. Called back to receive an invoice that doesn't show a credit but a charge. No credit has ever shown back up on my end. Got the original email that was sent to me with a blank invoice.... wth yall doing?
Contacted AMEX to dispute and handle through them.
This should support my claim the staff here are crap.**
**UPDATE 1: So I was charged 180 (pet fee) + room rate of 201 + deposit they havent returned yet. Doesn't make sense they hold your pet deposit + charge more before you return my pet fee?!?!?!? Thats over 600 in charges before you return anything back.
When talking to front desk, they argue and say sorry, MGMT does not work weekends. I'm calling you on a Tuesday!
Employees here are just plain incompetent.
I am not going to let this go. I have never been so disappointed in all the hotels I've stayed in my life. Motel 6 is better than this trash.
My friends work for corporate Marriot in Bethesda MD. They will be hearing about this.
PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!!
Hmm..... no sound on the video. My yelp video has sound. Believe me, it was loud!
Positive reviews here are BS. I also reviewed on yelp.
I am not the type to write a review unless I am highly disappointed.
I was traveling with my wife and Labrador and chose this hotel since they accepted dogs.
NOT ADA FRIENDLY. NOT ADA code compliant! (If you are not ADA, you wouldn't understand). I use a wheelchair and a walker (requested regular room) since I cant stand for long periods of time. The property is NOT ADA friendly. Everything is tight to maneuver. There are certain dors marked with a wheelchair accessible sign but when you step outside there is a curb there to greet you. You have to walk 50+ ft to come off the ramp off the curb. Nor are any of the doors automated. The front should at least be auto especially for ADA.
The value of the room is decent. However, the pet fee of $150 is a bit excessive in my opinion especially after my experience as well. **my room rate is almost equal to the pet fee.
The 1st floor has an aroma of a pet grooming salon. A wet sloppy musty dog scent. The rooms you could tell previous dogs have had many accidents that were not cleaned up properly. How do I know? My dog would not and could not stop smelling every corner of the room the couches etc.... she does not do this behavior anywhere I've been in the past unless a dog had marked there before. I was nervous that she night mark on top of the previous spot. It's not just my room, its the entire property. With shadowed carpet stains where they probably urinated.
Something behind my wall starting making this LOUD noise and woke me up at 11:00 pm. The noise did not go away. I told the staff which they couldn't locate where the sound was coming from. My wife had to show the front desk a video recording of the sound.
Instead of offering to relocate me, I had to ask. It was an EXTREME inconvenience. I was so bothered from the night before I thought I would just grab some breakfast. But once in the hallway, that smell of dog just made me leave.
My wife, dog and I bothe got mediocre rest during our stay. I should've just sucked it up...
Read moreWhere should I begin? This was our third time staying and we will not be staying there again. Checked in and the hotel ran my CC for the first 2 nights of our stay. Originally booked a 4-night reservation with the understanding that the room was going to be split. The FD agent didn't know how to do that so they had to create two different reservations. Fine, the other party would come down to take care of their portion.
The other party went down on the 2nd day of our stay to pay their portion and the hotel canceled my charge and charged the 2nd party's card for the 2 nights. This caused the original payment to become a refund/pending on my CC tying up the funds for 4+ days. Get a call from the FD that I needed to come by and pay for the 2nd set of nights when I returned to the hotel. Show up at the desk only to be charged $1000 to cover the 2 additional nights. Ask why you couldn't have just kept the original charge. Get told it is not how we do it here. A fraud alert is triggered because of the issues at the hotel. Upon check out I go down to the FD to ask why I was overcharged for the entire reservation when the original reservation was for X. Matt at the desk just said he would take care of the credit. It came across that this stuff happens a lot at this property. Now comes the fun part. Both CCs that were used were charged for all four nights through different transactions.
Notify Marriott of the issue and they are working on it. So thank you to Marriott and not to the property.
Other fun things at this property: Asked Matt for the phone number and name of the owner of the hotel. He gives me both only to find out that the owner does not exist anymore and the number is for Computershare. Finally, get the correct information from Marriott directly.
When I checked in we saw Housekeeping going through bins of items left in the hotel and putting them in bags. Nothing against this style of property allowing their staff to take half-used cases of soda or packaged food home, but do it in the back where guests can't see it.
As we were getting ready on our 2nd day the hotel staff knocked on our door to do a fire sprinkler inspection. I was nice and let them in, but a notice under the door, at the elevator or a call would have been nice. Even a text message to a phone or through the Bonvoy app. The inspection took less than a minute, but it was the principal.
From a kid's point of view. There were no waffles. We were informed that the waffle issue was due to COVID-19 (a go-to excuse at this point) and an issue with the quality of the waffle product itself. Well since you get your product most likely from Golden Malted odds are it is not a quality issue.
We lost a bag of earrings for a 9-year-old girl, thou I let the FD know about the item being left in the room, based on what I saw one can think that the bag will never be found as it may have grown legs and caught a ride. (Just my speculation and not accusing any housekeeper...
Read moreWe lived at this hotel for 2.5 months while our house was being renovated for flood damage, so I feel that I can speak to the hotel’s professionalism, communication, and excellent service, seeing as how we were here for so long.
We had some meth dealing and violent altercations happening with the residents across the hall from us. I have two small children, so naturally I became concerned after observing several nights of violence and suspicious activity (and horrible chemical-laden smells coming from their room). It all came to a head when an altercation happened right outside our room with another guest and the residents across the hall from us. There was blood smeared all over the walls and hallways, and I immediately called the police and demanded that the situation be dealt with.
My parents were also staying at the hotel during this time (to help us and see my son for his birthday), and rightfully so, they were terrified after this particular night. My dad and I went to the front desk to report what we had seen, and by the next day, the guests were being escorted out by the police. The police found several drugs inside the room and evidence of dealing going on (they were on the first floor and had been dealing through the back window).
The hotel credited my parents for their stay, and also credited my stay for three nights. Even though the hotel cannot technically kick people out for suspected illegal activity (due to privacy laws), they did everything in their power to keep their guests safe. I’m so grateful. I know many hotels that don’t do jack squat about illegal activity and guest complaints.
Furthermore, the housekeepers ALWAYS did a great job and were so kind. We got to know the staff like family, and even though living in a hotel for two months sucked, I was so impressed with our...
