Staff friendly, and renovated rooms nice looking, good rate, clean rooms, nice bathroom tile and furniture, DVD player is nice, however, Looks like decades old converted apartment complex, plan on walking from your parking spot to your unit, 2 level units - no elevator so you get to haul your luggage up a flight of stairs yourself, stairwell/ top landing dirty - cigarette butts and candy wrappers and needs power washing, if you are at all near the pool plan on hearing the kids screaming all afternoon, ice maker did not work, maids with chatter/walkie talkies very loud, being near the pool even through my tightly shut metal door I can hear kids at the pool screaming all morning and afternoon (sounds/feels like a lower end apartment complex), alarm clock time 20 minutes off with no visible way of changing the time, torchiere lamp not needed, placing religious literature in the night stands is offensive, thermostats difficult to work because 1. they are on a motion sensor system so don't work if you are sitting/sleeping? and 2. if you want to get it to come on you have to adjust the temperature a difference of at least 2 degrees, but if you adjust it too much then the other system comes on, for example I like to cool the place down then raise it up 3-5 degrees and let the cool dissipate until it gets too warm then the AC would normally kick on, in this system that would make the HEAT come on NOW which is not what I want, also it's in the 90s this week and this morning the living room heater came on even though it was in AC mode because it was combatting the AC cold from the bedroom at a different cooler temp. it's a few days later and most of the steps do my door are still very much covered in cigarette soot/ash even after the leaf blowers and 2 cleaning crews came through yesterday, my room key didn't work on the pool lock, hot tub closed on the day I went to use it, the gym has no free weights or yoga mats, towel hook fell off, it's nearly 9pm and the kids are still screaming their heads off at the nearby pool - guess management or parents don't really care that that's terrible for others to have to listen to that since the middle of the afternoon, Sunday morning at 730am no hot breakfast ready yet, desk chair is stained, dinette set with 1 side chair and 1 desk chair looks odd - needs to be two matching side chairs, shower curtain rod is sagging and beginning to rust, when I got my receipt I noticed I was charged a higher rate (of course) than I was paying for NON weekend days and was not told this.
Not the hotel's fault but the trashy guests next door were both up at 330am and 530am, now 730am both smoking up the stairwell and blocking it also their large white pick up is nearly double parked right outside the entrance to lobby with their very loud motor cycle in the bed they had to start up at 9am this morning back and forth constantly with their friends haulking loogeys & laughing, "What's up homey?!" etc, last night the building next door had one gust BLARING! the TV I could hear it across the parking lot - wonder if it was their large black cadillac escalade parked in the handicap spot all day and night with no placard, every night before bed I had to turn the brightness down on the alarm clock, bathroom handset loose.
Going to avoid open air motels from now on - it just attracts smokers with phlegmy coughs and especially avoid pool proximity - it's poor...
Read moreHotel room - we’re traveling with a baby so we got a suite with an office and separate living room. This was helpful when having to do feedings in the middle of the night. Our room also had a kitchen a dining table. It’s getting warm outside, so we appreciated cooling down with the air conditioning The area seemed very peaceful. In the morning you could hear birds singing.
Service- Check in at the hotel was quick and easy at the lobby. They have an ADA ramp at the front of the building, which is helpful if you have a baby stroller as well.
Indoor amenities - The lobby is connected to a lounge area that includes plenty of seating and a TV which was showing the national news. This area is also connected the business office, which included 2 computers and a mailing box. They also have boxes where you can have Amazon items delivered to, which I had never seen before. If you need cash, the office is where you’d find an ATM machine.
Breakfast- The checkin building is also where you get breakfast in the morning. They had an assortment of pastries, bagels, toast and a waffle machine. They also had some fruit, yogurt and cereal. As the main course, they offered scrambled eggs, sausage Pattie’s and hash browns. Near the checkin area is where you’ll grab your morning coffee.
Outdoor amenities- just outside the main building, you’ll find the swimming pool. They have an electric arm the hella folks in wheel chairs get into the pool. The jacuzzi was currently out of service. There was lawn chairs and patio chairs for folks to hang out in and I saw a BBQ in case you’re trying to cook some food. Off to the side of the pool area, you’ll find a small basketball court with 2 hoops. At the end of the property, they even had a designated smoking area if you want to have a little break.
Parking Lot - there seemed to be plenty of parking in front of the units. Near the entrance they also have a bunch of super charger stations for electric cars.
Location - the hotel is nearby the transit line and not too far from the airport. There’s also a little shopping center right next to the hotel. Besides that, there are a bunch of...
Read moreFirst the pros: I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks for a work trip as it was within walking distance of my office. Check in was super easy and the staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Nice to have a digital room key from the Hilton app and you can also use an app to do laundry. Breakfast was okay.
Cons: My room was right off Trimble so it was quite noisy. I woke up several nights to loud traffic and was also woken up by some construction noise before 8am on a Saturday morning from a crew right outside my bedroom window. So much for sleeping in but to be fair, not in Hilton’s control. The pool was also closed the entire time I was here. I wish I would have known that at the time of booking. I spent more time out of my room than in. However, while there over the weekend, I noticed my room was quite dirty. Lots of dust on surfaces, including the bedroom dresser, ceiling fan, walls, back of the bedroom door, etc. The cleaning staff comes every 5th day and did come the Monday after I arrived. Dust was still there when I got back to my room. The staff did not replace the almost empty toilet paper roll or leave any extra behind. I requested more from the front desk three times while away at work but it was never dropped off at my room. I eventually got it myself late one evening when I returned from a work dinner. I can live with all of that BUT the icing on the cake occurred late tonight as I packed up my suitcase to leave. I noticed something shiny out of the corner of my eye in the space between the bed and the nightstand. When I reached to grab it, to my disgust I realized it was an opened used condom wrapper! Sure as hell wasn’t mine! That means it had been there for the entire two weeks and the staff had at least TWO opportunities to get rid of it but left it behind. I’m so grossed out it now makes me wonder if they even changed the sheets before I arrived because I don’t see how you could miss that when putting a new fitted sheet on the bed. Will be talking with hotel staff first thing tomorrow morning and will not...
