If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place has you sign something that says the entire hotel is a smoke free environment, but our room smelled like strong, stale cigarette smoke. We had initially booked with 1 adult and 4 teens. When we got there there was only 2 beds and no option for a rollaway or mattress. This is where I will give props for services. The woman that helped me when I first checked in and came back with concern about the room, she was helpful and got Elizabeth the manager to help. Even though they were overbooked. They got a higher manager and moved us to a room they had to open up. They also gave us the option to cancel. We took the new room to give it a shot. This room also smelled of strong, stale smoke. We decided it wasn’t worth changing (yet) and we’d stick it out. When we left the property, there was multiple homeless people. I understand they don’t have control over that. One in particular was there when we left for the afternoon, and when we came back at 10:00 pm. Then I left to the store at 10:30 pm and he was still there and completely tweaked out. I felt completely unsafe. When I got back to the hotel, I decided to go to the front desk and requested to be canceled. Jasmine was the woman who helped me then. She offered me $60 off the first night and to cancel the other two nights. I clarified her when I left the front desk that everything was canceled and that I would be able to leave at 11 AM which was checkout time. She said I could stop by the front desk when I left to see if there was more they could do. So I did. Jasmine helped me in the morning. She said “why was she giving you $60?” To which I answered I didn’t know. She then said “No, I am not giving you that but will cancel the next 2 nights because it hasn’t been done yet.” When I came to the front desk to check out, jasmine said she needed to help me so she could credit my card. She said “I now know what she was doing, she was giving you a discount for last night.” Then clarified the reason, and when I said she was just giving it to me, she again said “Yeah, I’m not giving you the $60.” I just accepted it and checked out. The windows were only “locked” by a metal stopper that came off when you wanted to open the window. We hung a car freshener on the air conditioner but it didn’t help.

*Edit was because I noticed the photos of the sheets had not uploaded * Overall review: -Look for a cleaner hotel that actually has some pride in its rooms and offerings. -Rooms/bedsheets were dirty + the replaced sheets we received were also dirty -Breakfast was standard continental - nothing special (but they did not replace the finished coffee/items so get there early) -Staff was OK (we wish our room situation had been handled better) I've stayed at many of the La Quinta brand hotels and have never had any major issues or bad experiences until now. My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while in California. Upon getting our key cards and going to our room we noticed the sheets on the bed were dirty and still had hair from the previous guests and stains on the sheets. We were disgusted by that and called the front desk to ask if someone could come by and put on new and clean sheets/pillowcases/blankets as the ones we had were stained and dirty. We were told someone would be by to put new sheets/blankets and pillowcases on the beds. About 20 minutes later a gentleman knocks on the door and passes off new sheets/pillowcases (no blankets) to me and quickly leaves. We did not mind changing our own sheets as we understand they may have been short-staffed but upon opening up the "new/clean" sheets we found what looked like blood stains and other gross patches on the sheets that were supposedly clean. Again, putting on the new sheets was not a big deal but getting stained sheets/pillowcases after requesting new ones and then still having the original dirty blankets and now more dirty sheets in our room was definitely nasty. The breakfast was OK - nothing special just your average continental breakfast with sausage, yogurt, bagels, juice, coffee, etc. However, they did not replace any of the coffee or other items that were out so try to get there at the beginning of their breakfast start time. The staff were OK as well we just wish the room issue was handled a bit better so that was very disappointing. Not all La Quinta hotels are bad but this one definitely did not hit its mark.

UPDATE:6/10 After hunting down the manager for 2 days I finally got in touch with somebody I unfortunately had to speak with the assistant manager who then proceeded to accuse me of being a racist. I guess when all else fails and you don't know how to do your job You accuse the guest of being a racist! LEGAL TIME !! WOW!

I've been scammed. This place is a sham. The reviews on booking.com are bogus. Don't believe them. I checked in yesterday Friday at 3:30 and I asked them for a quiet top floor room as I am a post-op patient and I wanted to come here and relax and recover. This guy tells me he put me on the top floor overlooking the pool. I asked him. Isn't that going to be noisy the pool area? He tells me...Oh no I went in that room a couple of times to do maintenance. And yeah I couldn't hear nothing outside. The front desk is run by a bunch of high school kids that have absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. They will downright argue with you like teenagers do while they tell you that they're not going to give you back your money. When I wanted to leave yesterday they told me they could move me to another room in the back. The only room available overlooking the parking lot. I told them that since they didn't have any luggage trolleys and I'm a post-op patient. It took me seven trips back and forth to my car to bring up the things I needed to bring up. You would think that they would offer help to move me into another room but no they didn't offer. They just said nah. You could either take it or leave it lady . Here's Saturday now. The next day halfway through the day my air conditioning starts emitting this high-pitched squealing sound and the smells coming out of it smells like a chemical smell. I call up and I say can you hear the air conditioning through the phone? They send up maintenance. Maintenance tells me he can't fix it. He knows what the problem is but he can't fix it so I'm going to have to move once again. The only room available is the dumpy room on the other side for some reason. That's a sketchy room if you ask me because it's always available. Then he tells me that he's also going to charge me for a second night because now it's past 3:00 and policy states that I get charged for another night. Meanwhile I've been asking for 24 hours to get me the hell out of here and give me back all my money so I could go and find another hotel. But they don't do that. They just argue with you and they won't give you the manager's phone number because guess what? The manager is unavailable for the entire weekend. What hotel doesn't have a manager on board for the weekends? This dump does. So they hide behind that excuse and I said you can't text her. I'm sure you have her cell number. You can't text her and tell her what's happening and that she could give me back all my money to make me happy and get me the hell out of this dump? No none of that can happen. There's no options. BUT GET THIS HE ACTUALLY THIS IS HOW IMMATURE THEY ARE I SAID YOU DON'T HAVE A CORPORATE NUMBER AND HE SAYS IT'S INDEPENDENTLY OWNED OKAY SO I'M SURE THEY HAVE MANAGEMENT SERVICES RIGHT NO HE SAYS THEY DON'T. THEN HE GIVES ME THE ACTUAL PHONE NUMBER TO THE FRONT DESK AND TELLS ME TO PRESS FIVE WHEN THE RECORDING COMES ON WHEN I ASKED HIM TO GIVE ME THE MANAGERS CONTACT NUMBER HE GAVE ME THE FRONT DESK NUMBER. DO YOU SEE WHERE I'M GOING DO YOU SEE THE INSANITY? This is a disgraceful place run by a bunch of immature young people who don't know how to conduct themselves in a customer service based job. Don't waste your money. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your effort and don't believe any of the reviews about this place because this is one step away from being outside in a gutter somewhere. The doors on these hotel rooms look like somebody kicked them in a couple of three times. The place is run down dirty and it smells like mold and mildew everywhere. And sketchy people stay here. The reviews are a joke. They are fake and booking.com puts these BS reviews up just to make the place look good but it's not. RUN...

I stayed at this hotel for approximately a month. Never had any problems. However true colors of the management was shown and not in a great light. The other night I was having a bad day and my significant other and myself had a disagreement. Unfortunately said disagreement happened in the parking lot. Management happened is still be there due to their own personal party they were having at the property and so they came out to investigate. I stopped when they asked me to stop and went back up to my room. Later on that night I went to go pay for my room for another day and was able to do so. No problems no concerns no phone calls the following day no nothing. The night after I go to try pay for another day and that was when I was informed that I was not going to be able to extend and they were going to keep my deposit for some reason. When I asked the reason for them keeping my deposit I was informed that there was a note on the account that stated they were going to try to keep it due to the condition of the previous room I was in a week prior and due to the incident from the night before last. When I spoke to management the next morning I informed them that there would be no way that they could not give me back my deposit due to the condition of the room from week prior simply because the assistant manager was the one who checked me out. There is no issue with the room in fact she thanked me for cleaning it up so nicely upon my departure. Also the other reason being to keep my deposit for the incident from the parking lot again I noted that there that is not a valid reason considering my argument that I was having with my significant other had no effect on their condition of the room whatsoever. I apologize for the other night however reiterated that nothing was wrong with either room so there's no reason to keep my deposit. I was informed by management staff that find out a problem that once that I checked out of my current room as long as everything checked out then that either be no reason to not get my deposit back. Check out time comes I go to check out wait for them to inspect my room and there was nothing wrong with the room however after sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes while they did whatever they were doing I was in informed that supposedly my deposit was already pulled by the general manager and I'd have to take it up with her on Monday. I felt that was a bit unprofessional say the least. So here we are Monday I call to speak with the general manager and she's not in yet. So then I call again not even 20 minutes ago and after sitting on hold for 10 minutes I'm informed that it doesn't matter what I say I'm not getting the money back. I don't understand how they are allowed to keep your money for no reason at least not a valid one when the security deposit for the room is just for incidentals as well as if there's any damage to the room upon check out. There was no damage to my room again if assistant manager thanks me for the condition of the room when I'm checking out from the last one what would be the basis to keep it from that one and how could they keep it from the room a week prior when my deposit was for the room I was currently in which again I left in a great condition? So basically all I'm doing is letting those who are thinking about staying there to be very careful on their money and where they spend it. These people will find any which way possible to keep every lesson they can. On a different note Dylan that works the night time shift is amazing. He's professional he's considerate and he's definitely accommodating. If I could just rate him he would this place we get a five out of five. However it's unfortunate when management of all things are the ones that act like shysters. Despite their efforts I'm still going to continue to try to get them to do the right thing for once and give me back my money for my deposit. So they can give me the run around all they want however I will keep on running. I'm not going to allow them to...

Fantastic all around except...construction, rude neighbors and roaches. Lots and lots of giant roaches.

The rooms are large, very spacious and clean which we loved. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful and we enjoyed the make your own waffle station. We were here for about 10 days and not once did we get to enjoy the pool or hot tub. There was an overflow of children and drunk guests from the minute it opened till the very last second it closed.

I will agree that the construction was an issue. We had a room in the court yard area where the construction is taking place. The workers were very loud and I do understand that they are working, not guests on vacation but, they did not care about their noise level, language or volume. I was even cat called a few times by some of the workers when my husband and I were coming back from breakfast.

About 6 of the 10 nights we were there, our neighbors were the definition of creatures that crawled out from under the bridge. They were loud, obnoxious, up all night partying and could be heard singing and fighting through the walls. When they would finally quiet down around 5-6am and you would think we could finally get some sleep; they would start back up again around 9am. Needless to repeat, we got little to no sleep. We did notify the front desk every time it would get out of control but it seemed like that did nothing for the noise and the commotion never stopped. Truthfully I wish they would have just moved them if multiple people are calling and complaining (we know it couldn’t have just be us). On our last night it was too much that we called the office several times. I honestly don’t think the office even went over there because eventually my husband had to go over and ask them to quiet down...which this new group of people actually did.

Last but not least, the giant roaches need to be taken care of! The fact that there were multiple roaches that would run under our door or into our room as soon as we opened the door was absolutely disgusting. Walking around outside is like walking on a grenade field at night. They are everywhere and they are HUGE. We had to kill so many of them and even thinking about it right now is giving me the chills. These roaches are what nightmares are made out of. Please take care of that. This hotel should be sprayed weekly due to the amount that we saw and killed (30+).

Besides that. We did love the room, the bathroom and breakfast. We could handle the construction, possibly one or two sleepless nights from rowdy guests and stay another week in the near future but ONLY if the roaches are handled. You think they would give out free nights and/or compensation for the disturbed vacations due to the construction and roaches. This place is not cheap and it would have been nice to get our moneys worth.

Thank you for your service and hopefully we will be encountering each other in the future again but this time on better terms and...
