I don’t even know where to begin with this one.
Great location. Some of the staff is great. Not including the housekeeping supervisor. She was quite rude and offensive. Upon check in my room was not clean and I let them know and her attitude was beyond offensive to me. As if I was the problem. In the end she and the other management is the problem.
As mentioned my room was dirty, shower grey, food left over in the fridge, trash in the trash can. Floor not vacuumed, tile not mopped. Toilet not cleaned. It had a ring around the bowl. And someones skin particles on the seat. I let them know and they went up to clean it only they didn’t. The problem still existed. I went down and let them know and they were like okay. So I asked if I could have some supplies to clean it myself. Nicole stated in a very unprofessional manner “we aren’t giving you anything to take to clean”. I should have left then but I was exhausted. So I cleaned it myself. See photos. Also to note, one good hit with clorox cleaned the shower. So not sure what they used to clean.
The place isn’t clean, its already becoming trashy just from being a home and not a hotel. There are people who live there and they are rude and their kids run around like they own the place and I am in their way. The kids touch your car. (Mine had little grubby fingerprints on it from where they ran their hands up and down the side).
The people who live there talk loudly all hours of the day and night. (I was there for work so sleep was important to me). I was on the top floor but the guy who was staying below me talked so loudly and played music loudly that it filtered up. My neighbors beside me talked so loud I could hear them as well. I came back from work at 2 am and people were in the pool yelling. The halls were filled with the nauseating smell of food all the time. Doors were left open and all the smells and kids were everywhere. The hallways are not vacuumed.
I would not recommend staying here if you like your sanity, cleanliness and not having to smell other peoples lives all the time. If you have kids and are used to rowdy behaviors of kids 24/7 then this is your place.
I am sure I will get the same generic response from management that I got while I was there. I am sorry our housekeeping didn’t meet your standards. I laughed at him and said it doesn’t meet anyones standards and if it does then you should not be in the hospitality business and I can imagine what your house looks like.
As you can see from the pics these were clorox wipes that I ran over the floor and everything else. It was filthy. But hey it meets someone’s...
Read moreI really hate leaving subpar reviews for places but unfortunately this spot didn't work for me and my girlfriend that well. The issues began when i arrived and hadn't gotten the room key on my hilton app. The room i received keys for was not the one i had checked in for on the app and smelled badly like shrimp. Requested a new room and unfortunately no more divided room suites were available so we were given a regular king room with no rate change, so I think I paid a higher rate than i needed to especially since i upgraded to the divided suite at check in on the app.
I was charged at the front desk instead of through the app. This place charges $100 per night for incidentals- a rate I've never seen before at any Hilton, not even HGV properties I've stayed at.
The remote did not work with the tv to turn it on, we had to power on tv by button on the bottom. There was no way to control brightness of TV.
The second day our room key was not functioning after we returned from lunch. When i got it working i came in to the TV saying "welcome robert". I am not robert and am wondering if my room was reassigned and I was not in it in the system. Also my Hilton app room key still says "on its way"....so something about their system isn't integrating with Hilton.
The hotel is clean, there is free parking and beds are comfy. Showers are nice- we love the vegan body wash and shampoo. The room was nice besides the tv issue with lots of usb ports and a moderately sized kitchen. Location has no restaurants or stores nearby, you have to drive unless they have it at the small shop on site. I was not here for the evening social but they use a machine to distribute alcoholic drinks throughout the day with a card. Heating worked great in the room. Staff was helpful and friendly with any issues brought to them but I didn't bring up the remote poweron issue or the fact my tv said a new name on the second day- it seems pretty clear those are business process issues related to integration of the hotel mgmt system into the system hilton uses for entertainment and room control for properties. IT needs to shore that up. As for the shrimp smelling room, housekeeping should have marked that but it happens.
I hope there's some improvements that take place, but given I haven't experienced this many different issues at a Hilton property before I can't recommend this place highly. Still, it has positives and had a good rate so give it a shot if its economical. Obligatory I'm a Diamond member who stays in lots of Hiltons especially in LA statement....go for the Hampton farther south, it's...
Read moreOur stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Santa Clarita was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience.
The first night, we were subjected to a relentless "bam bam" noise coming from the room above us. Despite complaining about it after 10:30 pm, the noise persisted the following night, making it extremely difficult for us to get a good night's sleep. The next morning, between 9-10 am, the noise continued, and we lodged another complaint. However, the response we received was disheartening. They claimed they couldn't do anything because it was already morning.
At that point, we requested a room change, hoping for a better experience. Instead, we were offered a smaller room located next to the roof, with a view of a noisy AC machine. It felt like a joke.
We expressed our inability to stay in such a room and asked to cancel the remainder of our reservation (which was supposed to be stay for four more days). Shockingly, instead of an apology, the front desk staff informed us of a $50 late checkout fee.
To make matters worse, it was a Monday, and we had to work from the hotel. Our entire schedule was disrupted due to the ongoing noise issues. On top of that, we had to relocate to another hotel with our two-year-old child. Despite all these inconveniences, they charged us an additional $50. The front desk assured us that the manager would follow up, but we never received a call or any further communication.
Not only did the hotel fail to address the noise problem or offer any solutions, but they also neglected to apply a noise complaint fee to the responsible party's room. Instead, they charged us for their shortcomings.
Throughout our stay, the Homewood Suites by Hilton Santa Clarita displayed a lack of concern for our comfort and satisfaction. They completely disregarded the need for a peaceful environment on their premises.
Furthermore, the breakfast provided was subpar. The options were limited, and some items were not fresh. We arrived at the breakfast area at 8:30 am on Sunday morning, only to find that many food items had already run out. Rather than replenishing the items, the staff simply stated that there was no more food available. There was also no lunch or dinner option in the hotel.
Considering our negative experience, we have no intention of staying at this hotel...
