Well.... I don't know what to say. I couldn't sleep. We arrived at the hotel, checked in... The front desk person was great! We went to the room and walking in, we weren't totally turned off. It looked fine to the eye. I started pulling the sheets back to spray Lysol on the bedding (as I do at EVERY hotel, even 5stars). The bed that our kids were sleeping in was fine. The bed that my husband and I were gonna sleep in was FULL of hair. My husband wanted to put our food in the fridge & there was a roach that crawled into the fridge when we opened it. I called the front desk, told them about the hair Issie and asked for roach spray. The front desk person was shocked that I asked for "roach spray". He said they would send someone right up. It took about 2p minutes to get "more sheets" (don't know how clean they really were). Another staff member & what looked to be the maintenance man came up to put on the other bedding. They had no idea how to dress a bed, but I wasn't about to do it. The maint. man then sprayed the fridge behind it. We thanked them & I went back to Lysol the bedding that they'd just brought up. I was grossed out, but after an entire day at a theme park, tired kids who wanted to shower and go to sleep, we didn't want to wait for another room. I itched all night. There were visible spider webs on the ceiling in multiple places. The inside of the room door was so dirty I didn't want to touch it. The curtain had big brown stains on it. People living at the property made noise all night... In & out of rooms, slamming doors, car alarms, etc. It was a lot... But we managed for ONE night. We had friends who made reservations at the same hotel and they had the same bedding issues, except they had bug shed skin, not hair. I just know that we'll never stay there again. Positives... The pool looked great. The property outside wasn't...
Read moreThis hotel the lobby was was filthy to start off with it took a very long time to check in even with a already booked hotel. It is way overpriced for what you get. Upon entering the room it was extremely hot, and smelled like mildew. The a/c never cooked the room down. The ceiling was soaked with water in some areas, and looked like it was going to collapse in some areas. Door stuck, and was hard to lock. We ended up having to go to sleep in our car because of the heat and the smell.when we called the front office in the evening nobody answered the phone. When we called the next day to cancel the reservation the employee was extremely rude, and defensive. Instantly stating no refunds. Web site says differently! We chose the spot because if the Wyndham backing on this hotel. Our family has two people that retired from working with the Wyndham which normally has very clean and exceptional facilities. I have taken pictures the conditioner. Of the room, and have reached out to Wyndham. The employee would not honor our Wyndham rewards either. We will be sending this review to several outlets. Requested room was down stairs because if a disabled family never that has issue climbing stairs. This was also not honor. As a result of this my family will be avoiding staying at Wyndham backed hires like the days inn. The fee at this hotel was ridiculous! Nothing about this place justified the cost other than being one of the only places in seguin Tx. In addition we will be passing this information off or the soft ball league we were there with to insure that no other family will have to...
Read moreMy son and I stayed in the Days Inn, at 2950 N Hwy 123 Bypass, Seguin, TX 78155, it was reserved for two nights and right when my son and I checked in, I was ready to check out. I was told that I have to stay at least one night since it was reserved through Expedia and I would have to contact Expedia if I want a refund. We stayed for one night and the ironing board wouldn't stay up for me to iron a shirt, I had to call the front desk for towels, the AC didn't work properly. We woke up sweating and then I checked out at 7:30 am to only to be told by a woman at the front, that even though I'm checking out, I would have to go through Expedia for a refund. I messaged Expedia for a refund and was told by Expedia that I would have to go though the hotel. Seems like I was getting the run around. I contacted the hotel and was told I would have to contact the manager (which took me 3 days) to get in contact with a manager. The assistance manager told me its their money now I wouldn't get it back. He then said, "that's whats wrong with Americans, they don't know whats its like to live in a 3rd world county." I don't know what that was suppose to mean, I'm a retired Veteran that served 20 years and he told me I can contact whoever I want its not going to change and that I'm not going to get my money back. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express after Days Inn stole my money. I don't and will not EVER stay at another Days Inn no matter who buys...
