My stay even before I arrived to the ING was from the start a complete let down! The GM Holly was the worst person to have to deal with from a customer service stand point and she should be replaced! Any concerns or solutions was not meet nor giving nor suggested. So,
I was visiting the area because of a loss in the family. I was traveling with my elderly mother and older cousin from Wisconsin. Before I could even make it to the ING and was still at the visitation of our passed away family member, I received a call from a ING clerk notifying me that the room I had request per my comment was not something that they could accommodate because they didn't have any...so I was not able to really discuss the matter at that moment so I followed up with the matter once I got to the location of ING it was the young lady and Holly who I did not know at that time was the GM, they were there at the front desk when myself and my family arrived. They explain that they were a new ING only have been opened for two weeks the pool was not yet operable or ready for use we never got wifi service to work and handicap accessible rooms were not ready for operation..(why advertise them then! or not mention that on the website I could have booked somewhere else) but they did have hearing impaired rooms only king beds(I was insulted they would even mentioned that because I reserved two Queen beds because of the number of people that would be staying with me in the room) Holly says well we dont have a room what can I do right its late we are 800miles from home so I say well my mother have trouble walking which is why I request such a room in the first place, I guest it would be okay if we can be on the first floor, Again they both say sorry we have you on the 3rd floor( why would I be okay being on the third floor, when I was request a handicap accessible room in the first place why would ING than put me in a room all the way on the third floor..that doesn'tmake sense to me) I said no I can't be on the third floor I ask for a room on the first nearest the elevator, Holly and the lady clerk tells me we don't have any rooms on the first floor, and ask will the second work, I added as long as it is as close to the elevator as you can have us. We were given room 219 this room omg! It is like the farthest room just one other room on the side of 219 is than the end of the hall. My poor elderly mamah was struggling. We get inside the room and could not get the air/ heat unit to work was to tired from the drive to say anything plus all the discomfort from the check in that all we wanted to ddo really is get something to eat and go to sleep. The next morning, breakfast was good not a lot of sugar free option or low carb or whole grains but however the young lady who was there was really friendly and helpful there was oatmeal by no hot water there was tea bags but no hot water she was so kind to grab a cup go in the back and get some hot water, after breakfast we go back to our room to get ready for the reason we came to Mississippi the funeral. I give my elderly mom a bath and after I let the water out from the tub, there was water was that leaked into the hall area it was all under the refrigerator which shares a wall with the tub in the bathroom, I let the clerk at the front desk know that there was water in the room and I didn't know from where it was coming but it was after I let out the tub water and that it was all over the floor, in the hall near the room door, and about the air/heat unit bit working I was told they would take care of it because I couldn't wait til they came up to check it out like I said we were heading to the funeral service that started around 10am. We returned around 3ish. As I enter the ING the young man I said to me I guess he recognized me from earlier that the issues you reported has been taking care of, and sure enough when we get to the room the water was up and the room floor was really dry. However the room was a mess!!!!! the beds had not been made towel were not removed or replaced the trash had not been emptied and it was so cold nothing was wiped down or put back in its place I was so horrified by the condition of the room I tried cutting off the air unit it was not turning down or off my mother started to shake, my other family member unplugged it in fear she would get sick or worst. I immediately called the front desk I asked the young man who answer are rooms only cleaned by request? He answered no they are cleaned daily. I said to him well I've been out my room all day pretty much and nothing has been done as far as room service, the water is up and the air is on and with that we can't turn it off, I told him everything that was wrong with the room. He than said oh well housekeeping is still working and maybe haven't made it to your room, I than asked well when do you think they will make it to room 219 because its 3:45 he put me on hold and when we came back he apologized said his GM Holly said that housekeeping was done for the day! I was speechless all he could offer was bringing up towels and liners for the garbage that I myself can replace..unacceptable, ridiculous and rude I couldn't believe that this is what I was paying for. As beautiful as the Aesthetics of this hotel is it's not the same for those who work there. So the room remained the same...I had to get over to the repass so we changed clothes and left. To keep from crying I prayed to God which is where I know my help comes from and than called my daughter who lives in Texas just to have a compassionate ear for my worries and concern, she was so concern for our safety and health after remaining in a room that had a water leak that she said she wanted to call and so she did she and she herself spoke to Holly. That GM Holly told my daughter that she was gonna have a look at the room, but that was all smoke because I had already called the from desk about the concerns and she was made aware by the young man who answered the phone and the offer was to bring towels and liners for the garbage for me to change. After making it back around 7 we went to bed because we were getting up early to head back to Wisconsin. The plan was to be on the road by 6am. Around 9:45pm there was a loud banging i layed there listening and listening it lasted for hours I grab my cell phone because it was left on so that the alarm could sound to wake me for the trip it said 11:44pm. I couldn't believe it, I grab the hotel phone called front desk the person on the other end Hello Holly front desk...did she live here! WOW I said Holly this is room 219 there is a loud banging that's being going on for hours she asked me to explain it to her I said really I JUST DID! I can't explain no plainer its a loud banging that's been going on since about 9pm she says okay I'll walk the halls to see so we hung up..by this time my cousin had woke up asking what was wrong I told her to listen so she hears it, goes and look in the bathroom, than out the window same things I did I told her not to go into the hall we both lay there listening it's getting later. Now this GM Holly never calls back to say if she found out what it was or to explain what she did or didn't find or to even apologize for having to even be Disturbed from my sleep because of the matter. So finally I was just over it i look at my cell phone again it was 3:44am I got my family up and dress to leave this God forsaking place! oh the noise was still there when we were leaving..as we got off the elevator with our things the clerk was sitting at the table as I passed her I said I going to put my mother and belongings in the car and I would like for you to check me out she jumps up and says okay I'm new I've never done that before...I couldn't believe what I was hearing than why are you here....I got my family in the car went back in the ING the clerk again tells me she's new and had never check out anyone before and to let her call her manager Holly.. go figure! So I'm listening as Holly is walking this young lady through how to check out a guest took a long 30mins for a person that's had a sleepless night but now it's day and is about to embark on a 14 hour trip back to Wisconsin..I did tell the young lady it was alright and I can wait to take her time it wasnt her fault she was giving a job she didn't know how to do... so there was no handicap accessible rooms that was operable for use there was no use of a pool because it too was inoperable because they were new the Wi-Fi was never accessible to me and my work never had proper working air or heat it was the most uncomfortable stay from beginning to end
That's my story I would not recommend this place for anyone because to me they are unprofessional, unconcern, uncomfortable unfriendly and are the rudest hotel I've ever stayed..I should be given a full refund because of all I endured of...
Read moreMy experience here was just horrible! I was traveling to Como, Mississippi to attend a funeral service for a family member, I was traveling with my elderly mom and cousin from Wisconsin, So, It started even before I checked in...I had just made it to Senatobia just in a nick of time to stop in Coldwater Ms, to the visitation that was just 40mins from been over...while inside the funeral home I was got a call from a young lady who had call to let me know that the room I asked for which was handicapped accessible was not available they had none os what she said...I was in the middle of this service so I was not able to grip what she was tryn to tell me so we went straight to the hotel after..when I got there there was two woman one was the lady who I learned was the GM Holly Shevin and the young women who called me...I told her why it was I wasn't able to talk when she called so I ask if she could explain now that I was there..she goes on to explain that there where NO handicap accessible rooms I asked her why she said that they were not ready for use she said they were a new hotel and that they had only been opened for two weeks, I was like why were they advertised online as a room choice if they weren't even ready, I explained that my mom have a trouble walking and that was the reason I wanted that kind of room, so the second lady Holly the GM says we have hearing impaired rooms with king size bed I was so confused why she would mentioned a room like that I had no one in my party that was hard of hearing, the handicap accessible room I was looking to have was for two Queen beds because it was three of us.We were all tired from the long drive I asked wheat room do you have and the young woman says I have you on the third floor, I was like What! You see I needed an handicap room from my online booking you dont have any according to you and the only room you saw fit to accommodate me is on the third floor no i need a room first floor, they both in Unisense we don't have any available on the first floor..at that point I wanted to scream..so they are looking some sort of paper and then say what about the second I said it has to be as close to the elevator as possible yes yes they both say so I took there word and we get up there to room 219 and it's one room away from the last room at the end of the hall insane! Once in the room the air didnt work could not get it to work. The next morning breakfast was a hit and miss there was not provided in sugar free, coffee was lukewarm there was no hot water for the oatmeal but they young woman over the breakfast was kind and helpful. After going back to our room to shower/ bath for the funeral service Senatobia the water overflowed after the water was let out of the tub water was all in the hall under the refrigerator that shared a wall with the tub area in the bathroom I let the young man who was sat the front desk know of the situation in room 219 told him we could not wait for someone to get to the room because we were on our way out, he says okay. We leave 10am it's about 3pm when we make it back our room was a mess the water was cleaned up and the floors were dry but the beds were not made trash had no liners floors weren't vacuum towels had not been replaced, nothing was put back in its place it was draining to come back to. I grabbed the phone called the front desk asked are rooms cleaned by request the young man on the other end says to me no they are cleaned daily I explained that my room had not been cleaned and I would like to know when will housekeeping get around to room 219 because it was already close to 4pm he is speaking to the manager "Holly Shevin " in the background then he returns back to our conversation and says housekeeping is done and has left for the day Omg, he says all they can offer is to bring up towels and liners for the trash cans that i can put in them..I was like the devil is a lie..I just got my mom outta her clothes so that we could make it to our next event, to I reached out to my daughter just so I could have a sympathetic ear to talk to because I didn't want my mom and cousin to know that I was upset because I can see some discomfort in there faces anyway. My daughter offered to call up to the hotel and she did according to her and was so rudely handled when she called and spoke with the GM Holly. So we returned back to the hotel about 7pm we had plan to get on the road back to Wisconsin at 6am around 9:30 or 10 o'clock PM I was woken up by a loud banging noise I listened for as long as I could I grabbed my cellphone looked at the time it was 11:44 I grabbed the hotel phone to call the front door desk Hello this is Holly..I explain to her my concerns she says she will walk the floors to see what she can find..she never called back I must had fallen to sleep because I was waking again by the same noise it's now 3:44am I had enough of this awful Holiday Inn I got my family up to leave and when checking out the young lady had to call the manager Holly to help her to check me out because she said she had never done a check out before because that was her day on job..smh|Also the pool was not in use during my stay and the wifi never worked the staff was so unconcerned, unbothered with there attitudes. There was no kindness no apologies nothing my mom was born and raised in Como, Ms I have been coming to this area for as long as I can remember staying in hotels in places like Batesville Hernando mostly in the Hilton Brand hotels and and never experienced or encountered such distasteful, disrespectful and disregarded customers service ever.|I felt I deserved an apology and full refund. I won't tell anyone what to do, I'm just sharing my experience with on...
Read moreHonestly, being transparent about this review I can’t rate the room because it was not a stay. I travel a lot and value my relationship as a member within this hotel chain and I usually leave positive and constructive criticism when giving feedback so that others with potential interest in patronizing the facility/restaurant get somewhat of an idea on my personable experience and what they could possibly expect-I think I can safely safe that’s why reviews exist and people read them. I want to first say that after researching this location while traveling and decided to stop there for a quick refresh, arriving to the facility, driving up and even upon entry of the establishment was what I expected, it was clean and aesthetically nice. I was out of town back home in Illinois taking care of some business and had the worst drive through the winter storm leaving Illinois into and through Missouri, I mean extremely stressful concerning the nature and condition of the roadways due to the snow and ice and as I was finally coming back into my current residing state of MS I decided as I got closer to home to stop and take a breather and refresh so that I can continue my trip home. I entered the facility with my son because he needed to use the bathroom as well and because I was in the bathroom for an extended period of time, my son comes to me and speaks to me through the door advising that the hotel staff Mrs./Ms. Angela told me that I needed to leave and that I couldn’t use the bathroom. In complete disgust, I spoke with my son in short to confirm who the staff was after I got out of the bathroom, proceeded to have him step away from an adult conversation and then asked Mrs./Ms. Angela why would she say something like that to my son, the lack of unprofessionalism, customer service, and emphatic disregard for speaking to a child especially since we were there for a short period of time and being a member with the IHG program, and have been for years to be spoken to in that manner considering the day we had from travel was unacceptable behavior, to then be told after speaking with her that the manager Mrs./Ms. Holly was the one that saw me on the camera, then called and spoke to her staff about speaking to me and my unwanted presence there. If there’s was curiosity of who I was, I would have gladly presented my name to be looked up and they would have learned that I was a respected member within the program not just some walk in. I honestly wouldn’t feel comfortable staying at this facility considering the way me and my child were treated for just the short visit we were there and highly disappointed that the staff acted in this manner. It’s unfortunate that for a hotel chain to utilize the term “hospitality” is not upheld and honored...
