Sheridan Inn — Hotel in Sheridan

There isn't much of a selection on hotels when staying in Sheridan. I think two hotels are the only choice. I should have chosen the other one, but I have a feeling they are owned and operated by the same family. This hotel definitely fits into the "You get what you paid for" category. So really I can't complain too much. However, I do feel that even if it is a low end hotel, some of the issues I had are just unaccecptable. Not all. But some. I have stayed in high end hotels in resorts all the way down to low end hotels in the middle of the mountains and deserts. I get small town small hotels. But a upgraded bed and non molded bathtub are a must.

Pro's: Good location. Safe neighborhood. Nice neighbors. Neighbors were not loud. Even though It's right off the road, I personally couldn't hear the traffic. Good working air unit. Direct TV & Wifi. Pet friendly. Acceptable pet fee and room fee. The young couple who ran/worked the property were very nice and helpful. Bedding & towels clean.

Con's: The bed was the hardest thing I've ever slept on. It felt like I laid a sleeping bag on a concrete floor and slept. If you have back issues, be prepaired to really hurt. I'm not over exaggerating on the hardness of my bed in my particular room. There was mold in my bathtub. I also found 3 roaches. There was a language barrier between the older couple and myself. Tip: Even though it is a pet friendly establishment, don't take your pets (no matter if they are well behaved or leashed) into their little 8ft by 4ft check-in room. The older lady wouldn't even hear my questions before she kicked my dog and myself out. Apparently she doesn't like dogs. Stay at your own risk. I cannot recommend this...

Although the Sheridan Inn doesn't have extensive on-site dining, there are plenty of great options nearby, and the staff is more than happy to recommend their favorites. The small-town charm of the area, paired with the inn's cozy accommodations, makes for a perfect, relaxing stay.
