I have stayed at this hotel twice before and were nice, no complaints. This is regarding my recent reservations for yesterday. So, my wife and I had planned this long weekend casino trip across two states heading westward. Original plan was to stay at FW New Buffalo location, but they were fully booked over the weekend, so we made the reservation for yesterday, two days prior for South Bend location. We were going to play at FW NB for 2 days but since we got the complimentary room at South Bend we've decided to play 1 day at new buffalo, spend the night at south bend and play there the following day. When we got to the hotel around 10:40 pm last night, the front desk told me after 9pm we mark you as "no show" there was a group here earlier and now we don't have any rooms left.
Wait, Let me process this. You gave my room away complimentary or not to someone else without asking if I was going to show up, or even try to notify me that rooms are fully occupied. Having me driving all this way from New Buffalo only to find out they gave my room away. Then, what is the point of a reservation? Front desk did offer to provide some phone numbers to surrounding hotels, I said "no thank you I can google it myself."
It was late, we were tired, and in disbelief that I didn't have the energy to tell them how disappointed I was. We left, got a room couple mile away. The next day, we've decided not to play there and left, cutting our trip short. There were no extension of apology. Bad business practice on their part, especially for a 4 star hotel. I will not be going to any Four Winds after this, as there are more option in the...
Read moreThe rooms are nice but not well maintained. The staff aren't friendly at all. The casino floor has alot of games but they don't pay out. This place is tighter than any casino i been to. If you come and play slots make sure you pray to God for weeks to even get a bonus because at this casino your chances are 2%. They only have 2 slots techs on the floor so you know people don't hit anything and if there is a problem with a machine your going to wait 15 to 20 minutes because they two busy talking. I been here three times and all three times has been horrible. The free room isn't worth it. Plus its an outside pool. Like really this is Indiana...
Read moreI like the hotel it's nice and the suite I stayed in was spacious and had a nice view. Unfortunately the pool was not open which is where I am confused. Why not have an indoor pool in an area that only has maybe 4 months of the year warm enough to swim. The casino is kinda boring, I have a hard time winning here and the variety of games is slacking, way too many video slots. And why still have bingo based...
