This is probably more of an informational rather than a review. We one a weeks stay here at a fundraiser so we didn’t know much about the place and their offerings we just knew we wanted to ski Heavenly!
This address is for the Eagles Nest property which is where you check in. They also seem to have a few rooms there and they would all have beautiful views. There is also a bar here but not sure how often it is open. The rest of their properties are down the hill a ways on Galaxy Way.
None of their properties should be considered ski in ski out. You can walk downhill a bit from eagles nest and drop in or walk a ways up from the Galaxy Way properties to the stagecoach lift. Or you can drive and park in the lot but if you do this, be there first thing in the am because the lots fill up quickly.
Our unit in the rockwood building had two (small) bedrooms and one bath and oddly a sink in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had a small washer and dryer. The kitchen was appointed well with linen, detergent, sponge and soap but nothing to cook with like oil, salt or pepper. There was coffee for a few pots and some cream and sugar packs. The living room had a comfortable couch that was a pull out but we didn’t use it. Would also say that it would be pretty tight with 6 people for a week here.
We were here during the massive storms of Jan 2023 so as a general psa you’ll want all wheel or 4 wheel drive and chains if your here in the winter. Also, keep in mind that with the storms there is wind, snow, ice and the lifts will close. This year there were also electrical issues that caused the whole NV side to be closed. If the stagecoach lift is closed you can drive to the California side where the lifts seem to be more likely to be open. However, the California side is often super crowded. There is also shuttle that goes around but not that frequently. There is not much around the place to do at night, half a mile walk to the local watering hole of Fox and Hound. Makes it easier to get up in the morning to get...

Located at the top of Dagget Summit at about 8500 feet, clusters of time shares are nestled in the pine forests. In spring and summer it is very cool up here. You hear blue jays and woodpeckers and gentle breezes through the trees. The scenic viewpoints are spectacular. Our condo overlooks the Carson Valley and a majestic mountain, giant boulders and towering pines. The sky is so blue with a few fluffy white clouds. It is so quiet and refreshing here. The evenings are chilly, so don't forget to bring a jacket with you. Also be prepared to climb up 80+ steep steps if your unit is at the top. We always enjoy coming here every year no matter in what season we can take our vacation week. Minutes away from Lake Tahoe, there is no end of recreational things to do. We love renting kayaks. We love the hiking trails. Some are tough but worth the effort to see streams and waterfalls and wildflowers. At this time of year (June) the weather is ideal for walks in the woods. No bugs or snakes. Just a warning to watch out for bears. The condos are complete with all you need. Bring your own shampoos and other toiletries. The courtesy soaps & make up remover pads are the only bathroom items except of course plenty of towels + toilet rolls and box tissues. The beds are firm & good. Some furniture is old from the 1980s but kind of quaint. It is still comfortable enough. The views are everything. Nothing to not enjoy! Just tons of nature's beauty...
Read moreOct 17 - 14, 2015 we stayed at their Tahoe Village, Rockwood D: up 42 stairs (3 flights) with no elevator. The site is beautiful in the big pines. At almost 7,500 ft. elevation you WISH you could breath. NO insulation in this place. You hear EVERYTHING above and below. Maintenance people working multiple days 9 a.m. on. We had a two bedroom unit that turned out to be a SMALL unit with 1 bath and one of the 2 bedrooms had a sink a man could not even walk into to get to. Mon. a.m. I tried to go downstairs. There was ice from the sprinklers not being turned off when it was way below freezing at night. I fell a full flight of stairs on 1/4 + inch of ice and thank God did not break anything. I called the office (open 8 -5 weekdays they say) 6 times and got a terrible English person once and voice mail 5 times with NO CALL BACKS. I complained to an older maintenance person the same day I fell. Heard NOTHING back. The day I got the bad english person I requested new towels & sheets on Wed. AFTER 1 p.m. I got an o.k. Wed. a.m. at 10 we were awakened by this "service." I complained on check out and got nothing but "sorry." We were interrupted 3 times early a.m. by: "Buy a unit for the price of the yearly maintenance fee + recording fee." I would not stay here again if they gave it to me. If you love coyotes daily, deer, bears, etc. this is the place for you. This place...
