Started my one week stay here in Feb with lots of disappointments. The emergency (fire) alarm went off in the building at 4am and everyone was evacuated. The fire exit was blocked with so you couldn’t even get out of the building the right way if you wanted to, demonstrating that the property doesn’t shovel it’s walkways and clear roads in a timely manner and is in violation of safety codes. The staff never confirmed what the culprit was, it took half an hour for them to tell us to go back to our rooms and the fire department never showed which is strange. Secondly, the building’s hot tub was not functional and there was no signage or anything saying it was out of service or when it would be fixed. Thirdly, for a place that is supposed to have a resort feel, they other than the mentioned, they use the cheapest bathroom products. Fourthly, none of the tv remotes in the rooms work for any of the tv’s, they are different brands and don’t apply to the right tv. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, I wouldn’t...
Read moreStaying at the Ridge is something we've been doing for 20 years. Great for skiing because lift is right there. We went in non-skiing season this trip and stayed in Neagles. It seems to be getting outdated. We had to call maintenance 4 times in our 3 night stay. Maintenance guys were nice and fast but king annoying that we had to call 4 times for things like lights being out, wires exposed, fire alarms beeping, our electric fireplace didn't even work. Since Holiday Inn took over property, it seems like maintenance is retroactive instead of proactive. Also a giant ant (1" long) was crawling up my leg while we were sitting watching a movie. Ugh, made me paranoid the whole weekend.
Oh, and shuttle use to run every 30mins into town and now it's every 2 hours. That made it hard to plan.
I don't know if we will return to the...
Read moreWe have maintained an interval ownership at The Ridge Tahoe for over 35 years.
It is located on a ridge conveniently located just above Stagecoach base lodge for the Heavenly Ski Resort
It has a free small private tram that takes you from the resort to the base ski lift. It doesn’t get more convenient than this. I think the Ridge is the only resort in the United States with a private tram connecting directly to a ski resort.
There are naturally hot tubs, saunas, indoor/outdoor pool, etc
There is even a small private movie theater at the complex for guests.
It also has one, if not the only, indoor tennis court in the area. It also has indoor racquet courts.
It is still a top notch resort...
