Was reading reviews about this place as I was looking for a hotel room under 100 bucks..first review was ok, second review stated it had bugs, was abit discouraged..so I continued reading and there was enough of reviews which made me feel better..as I’m getting off the highway I noticed tall tress and grass and said to myself if this hotel is close to this exit there’s going to be bugs..I got off the exit, mile or two down was the hotel. From the outside it looked decent and had neighboring eatery's..so I went to Walgreens then the drive through at dunking donuts. I asked for a sweet pepper bacon eggs sandwhich and ordered two of them..I got to the hotel and explained to the staff which was friendly and explained I seen reviews with bugs mention. He told me check the room and make sure you are ok with it. Yhea that’s cool..I check the room 211 it smelled good was clean everything was in order..I pulled the sheets back and checked for bed bugs, no sign of them.this is going great..as I left the room I notice the back yard was woodsy..I came back to the late night desk and said everything is cool I’m ready to get room..as he was setting me up I swiped my card in these vending machines for a coke and snacks. Neither seemed to work..I paid for the room grabbed my stuff out the van and went to the room. I layed on the bed and ate my two Dunkin’ sandwiches I ordered..I turned the tv on for a second then decided to turn it off after I ate..I fell asleep. Woke up at 6am to an alarm clock I didn’t set. I jumped up like what’s going on grabbed the clock and tried to rip the cord to shut it off..as I shut it off a huge water bug ran from under the pillow I was resting my head. I swung at it with the Alarm clock to no luck…I tried not to freak out so I kept the lights on and slept lightly. Got a phone call about 9am I had an work order so I got a chance to leave early.. the shower which is something I look forward too was actually good not bad at all..after the shower I grabbed my things went to the front desk and explained to them what happen..I didn’t make a big deal about it..jus my experience. ...
Read moreThe front desk assistants were great at check in,. They were very friendly and pleasant. The room was neat, there was water left in the bath tub because the stopper was left in the up position, the front desk took care of it immediately, the housekeeper came, drained the water out and cleaned the tub. I can't really say much about it, its Red Roof Inn we're talking about. If you pay less you get less for ex: there's only a few channels to watch (maybe 15 or less) most were infomercials, maybe 2 or 3 local channels, one cable channel (HBO) that showed the same movie(s). Everything was as I expected until I saw a roach crawl down the wall and went behind the mirror. I waited for it to come from behind the mirror but I began to get sleepy so I slept with the lights on...lol. I would have called the front desk but it was late so....I was only there 2 nights. The next morning I saw a roach crawl around the drawer where the tv was and I asked myself, "is that the same roach or a different one". It didn't really matter though because I was about the leave anyway. However I can add this note of confidence and phrase for Red Roof Inn in Laural Md, I left my tablet on the bed when I left. Didn't realize it until later in the day so I called the Inn to ask if I left it there and the housekeeper turned it into the front desk. That doesn't always happen. I left 2 items of clothing at a different hotel and realized it 30 min after leaving on my 4 hr travel back home, called the hotel immediately to tell them I had left the 2 items of clothes hanging in the closet and I was on my way back to get them. When I got there I was told that housekeeping didn't find it. I especially loved that blouse🤷🏽anyway the same could have happened this time but it didn't so I thank the staff at Red Roof Inn Laural...
Read moreI want to share my experience. I only stayed here twice. I came here last week and stayed in a deluxe king room that had a desk and a tv. It had everything I needed with microwave and refrigerator. However, it smelled like complete bleach. The rooms are hit and miss because the room that smelled like bleach had a toe nail on the ground and some facial hair in the bathtub that they missed. Other than that, the rooms are clean. The 2nd visit the room they gave me I walked in and it was a disaster blankets were off the bed used soap in the sink pillows everywhere. I was worried when I walked in that they were someone using this room . I called hotel desk right away. A man asked if he can come to look at the room to see what’s going on I said absolutely!! He came in and addressed the issue. He said there might have been a glitch in the system or with housekeeping. He was able to give me a different room right away with no issues. He switched me to a different room and I told him how it smelled . He told me he can use an air refresher to spray the room. If I knew they had an air refreshner I would have mentioned it on my previous visit. I told them I didnt want to bother them about the bleach smell on my last Visit and had my friend bring some for me. The man was nice enough when I asked him for a toothpaste he also gave me a toothbrush with it even though I didnt ask for it. He was able to go out of his way to come up to take a look at the room and spraythe room. There is also no security deposit which I like- its close to a shopping center behind I can walk there if I wanted too! If there’s any issues with the room call the front desk they will fix...
