Grand Hotel — Hotel in Spring City

To be the only motel in Spring City, they have sure done it right! The rooms are extremely clean, they smell great, and the service here is wonderful! The beds are so soft and comfortable, I have a hard time getting up in the mornings and want to simply lay here the rest of the day! The owner and her staff are so friendly and make us feel at home every time. The hotel has a bountiful breakfast option and there are also many supplies on site in case you forgot something.

Although, there is not much to offer in Spring City, as far as typical amenities, there is a restaurant within a short walking distance from the hotel called "Winstead's American Grill & Kinq of Pizza" that has nearly any food you could ever want! There is also a Mexican restaurant across the road and tracks called "Ayalas" that is excellent and a Piggly Wiggly that is well stocked for any groceries you may need as well. This is just a great hotel to stay, I would gladly pay twice the nightly amount of any other hotel in the area just to stay here!

To the staff of the Grand Hotel, I thank you for always being so friendly and accommodating! Keep it up, you all are great!

Dayton and Crossville are just down the road, and there are other hotels there, but don't waste your time and money, just stay here!

I have family in this area in this hotel is very convenient for us. My family has stayed here quite a few times. We like everything about it. I do have one negative thing to say. This hotel does not have an elevator access to the second floor. Due to my mother being handicapped, she cannot get up the staircase. I always make my reservation months in advance to request a ground floor room. Recently due to a few highway accidents, we didn’t arrive until later that night only to find out we did not have a ground floor room. The desk clerk said that they were fully booked for the night and there was not a note on my account that I requested the ground floor room. This has happened to us several times now. There was only one guest who hadn’t arrived yet, so she switched us with the room that they had booked for them. If it wasn’t for that one guest arriving late, we would’ve had to drive to another town to find a room at 9 o’clock at night with a handicap mother. I feel that if you do not have handicap access to the second floor, these notes are very important and should be taken seriously. The clerk told me to make sure that I say, “make sure you put this in the notes” when I call to make my reservation. I really feel like that should be a staff priority because of no handicapped access to the second floor. I would like to see the staff take this seriously when...

I must say that this is the cleanest hotel I have ever been too, and we travel a lot! Everywhere I stay I normally have to ask for clean sheets because I always find a hair or something on the bed. This was superb. The customer service skills of those that work here but it's also amazing. Mostly everyone was polite and accommodating.

Issues.

The first night I barely slept, the bed was rock hard and the passing train blowing right outside woke me up constantly. I had to leave out early in the morning for an event the next day and thinking I would have to come back for another bad night, really put a damper and enjoying the days activities. Upon returning, the front desk staff was very accommodating I'm loaning me an air purifier for white noise to help with the train and providing extra quilts to soften the bed ( my idea). It turned out play all I have to do was switch beds with my children who did not mind the extra firmness. The other queen bed although firm, was a bit better.

The breakfast area was very small and was nothing more than continental and ended at 9am on Sunday, although the lady did give us a few more moments after we asked. They have packs of oatmeal, muffins, fruit, yogurt and coffee
