Boast and a huge toast for Ayala's Grill 327 Front St. Springcity TN 37381 ( I really hope I tagged the right one). I was working a night shift as an agency nurse in Spring City and of course we had nurses not show up and call out. My partner called around trying to find somewhere that delivered because I forgot my food at home. Felicia from Ayala's offered to bring me food. Her daughter works in the ER and is in nursing school, and when Zach told her I was a nurse stuck in the trenches unable to get food she insisted to bring me something. She showed up with the most delicious salad, and even more than that her demeanor was just everything I needed. I tried tipping her extra, and she was not having it. I begged and she just said, absolutely not. The shift was going down hill fast, and I was ready to cry multiple times, but she shows up with amazing food and such a warm heart. She reminded me of my mom in so many ways, and I can see why her daughter wants to pursue nursing. Growing up with a person who goes out of their way to provide a random act of kindness always seem to have a way to make their kindness exceed their grasp. I wish the best for her daughter, and I hope we cross paths again! I will HIGHLY recommend this place, and stop on my way into this facility every chance I get. If you can, go by and tell her how...
Read moreDown visiting family (we’re from Illinois) and stopped here (Springcity) after a morning of estate sales/garage sales/exploring the area. Walking in, no one greeted us, we walked all around the restaurant before finally just sitting down at a booth. Our waitress was sweet, so none of this review is geared towards her. The food was absolutely horrible. I ordered a taco salad, which looked good when sat down in front of me but digging in it was nothing but wilted lettuce, with a lot of watery hamburger. It looked like taco salad “soup”. It tasted salty, had grease floating on the top, and was just the worst. My brother got the Torta that had a dried up chicken breast on it, and his fries were raw in the middle and greasy on the outside. They definitely needed to be cooked longer, being hand-cut fries. The one good thing was my Diet Coke with plenty of ice. I don’t honestly know if this place would be good, given a second chance. We were very disappointed. Definitely think twice if...
Read moreNever again! Service was slow. When we got our food we were told that it was incorrect because the cook was in a mood. This was repeated several times throughout our experience. After getting the receipt we noticed it was because the waitress didn't enter it correctly. Although she did eventually bring us a plate to pick off the things we had specifically said we didn't want. It took forever to get everything we had ordered because they kept forgetting. Very unprofessional all around. The tacos, rice, and beans didn't taste right. The kicker came with a bite into half raw shrimp. At that point, I got up to find the waitress and get our check. The dish with half raw shrimp was taken off. We left and will never go back. Hoping we don't all get food poisoning. But judging by the awful aftertaste in...
