Comfort Inn & Suites — Hotel in St. Louis

Currently waiting on them to refund us the $700 THEY STOLE FROM US. I had a room reserved for my partner and I's anniversary so we could pay there instead of online. The site told us in at least 3 different places that they would not charge my card until check in, check in is at 4pm, they charged my card at 6AM, NO note saying they did it early. Because of this we had to switch our cards which was no big deal, but when switching from my debit card to my partner's credit card, they charged ME an extra $160 and charged $160 to my partner's credit card and then charged it $140 TWICE for a grand total of $740 for a $140 stay. We had no money after this obviously, so we had to abandon our anniversary, do absolutely nothing the entire trip, and leave early. They were extremely snarky with us when we asked when the refund would go through like they didn't max out an entire credit card and we have not seen ANY of that money since. If this is not taken care of they can see...

I usually like Choice hotels, but was very disappointed with this one. Where to begin. The good, the staff where pretty good, the layout off the room was ok, but for the price we should have had two bathrooms. I tried to talk to someone be for we came about the layout of the room but they didn't know. The web info about the room was very limited. All it said was 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. And no pictures. The second bedroom door made a terrible noise every time you opened it. The AC in the second bedroom smelled terrible so we didn't use it. There was no table to eat at. They removed the pool. Breakfasts are the most limited one that I have stayed a Choice Hotels. Half the exercise equipment didn't work. The lobby Women's bathroom was out of order the whole time we were there(10+ days) The floor in our room terrible dirty the whole time. It needed a go mopping, not just dusting the floor. They were fairly good about cleaning our rooms except...

We got there an hour after check-in and our room wasn’t ready. After waiting 15 minutes for them to check if our room was clean, they said it would be 35 minutes so we asked to move rooms, which they did for us. The air conditioner didn’t work and they said someone was coming to fix it on Friday, but no one did until the next day. Luckily, one employee, I wish I would have gotten her name, was super helpful and moved us to a different room after waiting for a hour and a half for this person to show up to fix it. She worked Friday night and Saturday night I believe.

Breakfast is subpar. The room key cards stopped working at one point for our original room. The fridge froze our drinks. There is only one way to get in and out of the parking lot which makes it difficult if there’s another person trying to come in or go out. The other entrance was locked and gated off.
