We stayed here a few weeks ago over Labor Day weekend, I'm just now getting around to posting my review (sorry for being so late). We booked the King Bed Studio Suite for 3 nights. Our room faced the north on the 4th floor. There were a few issues during our stay, but nothing huge. The alarm clock was broke, we ended up bringing it to the front desk. The remote for the tv also didn't work, figured it was just dead batteries, brought it down to the front desk. You can't change the batteries yourself so we had to bring it to the front desk, ended up finding out that the batteries were put in upside down....got new batteries (put in right this time) and got back to our room to find that the tv/remote worked but there was no information in the guide for the channels, so we had no idea what was on lol (video included in pictures). No way to reset the receiver box so we just scrolled and found a good channel and just kept it there. The ceiling fan also made an annoying sound when you put it on high. We also came to find out that along with the normal sheet on the bed they also put a bedskirt on as a sheet instead of a normal flat sheet. Not sure why, maybe the cleaning crew mistook it for what was supposed to be on the bed (I included a picture). Overall we had a good experience aside from those above annoyances. The room itself was good, much more room than I thought. Having a kitchen was also great because we saved money not eating out the whole time. We never visited the pool or workout areas but those looked pretty good. They also have a game room if you're traveling with older kids. They provided breakfast each morning from 7:00am to 9:30am I believe. Get down there early because they run out of the good stuff pretty fast, especially when they're fully booked. Overall a good experience, I'd stay here again but not over a holiday weekend!

A nice, newer hotel. The parking lot is small and there was no spaces left the first evening we arrived, partly due to the two concrete trucks allowed to park in the lot, so I was told to park near the front entrance in the fire lane along with several other vehicles. The hallway door of the room had a huge gap and didn’t seal which compromised its sound proofing and fire protection. Bedrooms are good size, beds were on the firm side and pillows weren’t very comfortable. The back door of the hotel leaving from the breakfast gathering area had a sign on the exterior that said the doors were locked at all times for security but that wasn’t the case, the right door when walking from inside to outside remained unlocked every time I used it. The breakfast was well stocked and efficiently ran, the guys working the area did great. Front desk staff was great except for a young lady with longer hair who was more interested being on her phone. Good laundry facilities for $3 wash/dry, clothes were completely dry in one cycle. My kid said the pool water was cold compared to other hotels. Nice game room with ping pong and foosball. The foosball table had a ball jam and wasn’t working our last day. When making room selection note that a new hotel is being built on the main entrance, north side affecting views. Better views are on the parking lot side. Location is not walkable to anything. In general a decent hotel that could use a few improvements.

I’ll start with the pros. The rooms are spacious, and updated fairly well. There are wonderful views of the mountains around the hotel. Ok that sums up the pros. The cons: The fan in the bathroom doesn’t work and there is ”something”on the ceiling from the moisture of hot showers in room 120 as of writing this. The pool and hot tub are great, except the hot tub is too hot in mine and my wife’s opinion, like unbearable for more than a few minutes. Majority of the jets also don’t work. Lastly… there is green algae growing around both the pool and the hot tub. Like how hard is that to clean… gross. We are not able to get refunded our last day of our stay (some plans changed). We stayed 5 nights, and on the 4th evening we asked if we could get refunded for the 5th day. Waaaaay before checkout time. “Because we prepaid we can’t get a refund for remaining days”. Whatever, maybe that’s the policy (which is a bad one in my opinion), and I’m not going to argue it. Just wanted others to be aware of it.

My husband and I could not have been happier with our stay here. Among the countless great things about this hotel (which I’ll get to later), first, I need to mention the exceptional customer service that was provided to us.

My husband and I both work in the airlines and have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the country, and the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Steamboat, CO stands out among one of the best hotels. Each interaction that we had with the staff was friendly, attentive, and personable. We were especially impressed with Kate, the Assistant Manager, who took the time to address us by name, thank us for our business, and ensure that we were happy with our service. Kate made us feel like valued customers, as she went above and beyond to get to know us personally. Furthermore, the other staff members were always pleasant and gracious when asked requests or information.

Besides the great customer service that we received, we were very impressed by the comfort, cleanliness, and the amenities that the hotel provided. Being a newer hotel built within the last few years, the rooms were very clean, bright, and spacious; we always felt relaxed returning to our peaceful room. After long and busy days enjoying beautiful Steamboat Springs, we had the most restful nights of sleep in the most comfortable beds! Additionally, the amenities the hotel provided were awesome—the breakfast was perfect to start our day, the workout room had everything needed, and the pool/hot tub, and outdoor patio were other wonderful luxuries that made our stay so relaxing and memorable.

Thank you very much for making us feel like valued customers. We truly left Steamboat feeling renewed and...

We have stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Steamboat two times now. The first visit was really pleasant, so we recently stayed again. But this time, we were really blown away. We were getting ready to go skiing one morning when our 8 year old son asked if he could play with his Nintendo Switch. We said no, and he got angry. Unbeknownst to us, he put his Switch in one of the trash cans and left it there while we went skiing. When we got back, and nobody could find his Switch, he admitted to what he'd done. But at this point, housekeeping had already come and tidied up our room, in addition to dumping the trash. Our son was devastated. We asked the front desk staff and some of the housekeeping staff if they had seen it, but nobody had. Once we got back home, I called the hotel to inquire about something else I had forgotten in our room. The man I spoke with took my name and number and said he'd call me back. Ten minutes later, he called back to say they'd found my item. He then asked if there was anything else we may have forgotten. I gave a half-hearted laugh and told him about the Switch. Against all odds, they had it! The housekeeping manager had pulled it from the trash and set it aside for us. Our son got REALLY lucky. We were extremely impressed with the integrity of the staff, and would absolutely stay at this hotel again. Switch aside, the rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The breakfast was generous and tasty, and the staff was obviously great....
