Pataskala's "Amish" Dutch Valley Buffet is much better. Was quaint but the food wasn't up to real Amish food quality. The gravies were not homemade. Tasted like powder chemicals, bouillon. The color and consistency was not at all appealing. The veggies tasted like it was frozen or out of a can. Very bland, flavorless. Quality was not up to par. Our server was a bit rude and sassy. Sometimes nice, other times, not so much. Inconsistent behavior and service. The compound is nice, offering other stores within walking distance. The atmosphere was alright, the floor plan set up could be better. Buffet bar needed attention. Certain foods mixed in with other foods due to certain customers not caring about cleanliness. I personally would not go back there. Nearly $19 per person. Was not worth it to me. Heavy set in your stomach. Took me 2 days for the bloating to subside. My stomach cannot handle too many chemical induced foods. The water even tasted weird. Popular place to dine for ones that are used to that type of food. My palate and stomach couldn't. I've had awesome homemade Amish food many times before. This was the first time here. I will not be going back. However, try it out... You may enjoy it? Bon appetit and...
Read moreAlways such a wonderful experience here at the Dutch Valley Campus. This is where my family has our Christmas party every year. We always get the same room, which is located in the portion of the restaurant under the dining room upstairs. The workers are always such a joy to talk to.....they are so friendly and helpful. And of course we have to talk about the food.....oh my goodness, the food is amazing! They serve all-you-can-eat ham, potatoes, gravy, roast beef, bread, pie, chicken, noodles, and green beans. Such an amazing atmosphere in the beautiful Amish Country of Ohio. We will always keep coming back,...
Read moreMy sister and I had lunch at the restaurant. You can order from the menu, have the daily specials or get the buffet. We enjoyed our lunch! Plenty of seating and areas that can accommodate parties. There is also an in-store gift shop and a bakery. Another building is a large gift shop of lots of nice things (seasonal and year-round). Three floors! There is an elevator, if needed. Another large building for events next to the gift shop. Across from them is a large hotel, that is part of the Dutch Valley Campus (we did not visit at this time). We will be...
