We were not happy with the jacuzzi in room 1. The knob to control pressure on the right side was missing and the knob on the left side didn't adjust pressure. There were several heads missing to the jets which would explain the lack of pressure. We weren't in the giant "bath tub" but 5 minutes. Definitely a waste of the money that we paid extra for this feature which I am sure attracts people to the room. When we checked out at 8am the next morning we notified the front desk of the issue. She asked for a gal from the back to come up, I assume a manager. She listened to the issue and actually told us they had parts on back order. So let me get this right, they were well aware of the issue and rented a room at the jacuzzi price?!?! All the manager could do was offer an apology which considering we actually paid for a room with a jacuzzi there should have been a refund minus the upcharge of the jacuzzi not just an "I'm sorry"!!! Not a mention of any refund from this manager. We would have been a regular here had they done something to make it right!! We come to Amish country often but I guess we'll find a place that has a working JACUZZI WITH PARTS THAT ARENT BACK ORDERED TO FIX THE ISSUE!!!
The beds are also very stiff and we should have been made aware of all the closures on good Friday since we bought the Spring package for a Thursday night stay!! We didnt find out until the 2pm check in (the day before) which most businesses close at 5 pm! So we missed out on everything we could have taken home in this package. So needless to say this will be a first and only...
Read moreThis place is a must stay over! I can't say enough good things about this place! They have a package deal for two for each season, where you stay one night and get a coupon book for free things throughout Amish country. They also give a map so you know where you are going. Included in the stay, is a dinner and breakfast. You get to pick from a list of places for dinner and for breakfast. My husband and I pick the winery that's listed for dinner and Rebecca's for breakfast. Two fabulous places to eat!
My husband and I have been going in March for three years, so we get the winter package. That's good until April 1. You can't check in until later, but we get there around 11 and start planning and running around Amish country. During the winter package, you get more free stuff. The rest of the seasons, you don't get as much, but you still get a good amount.
We get the jacuzzi room every time we go. It is the biggest room I have ever seen at an inn! There is so much room to walk. It's nice to come back after a long day of running around and relax in the jacuzzi!
I think this package deal is a great idea for Amish country. There are stores in the package deal that are in the middle of nowhere. Because of the free stuff, people now know about these little stores.
I highly recommend staying here and getting the package deal! You won't be...

The older motel is a family owned and operated property accountable only to themselves and the marketplace. Our room was spacious and very clean with an envelope so we could tip the housekeeper. The heater worked but was noisy. The room had all the amenities (microwave, fridge, coffee maker, TV, radio). The bathroom was also clean but dated (no grab bars). Outlets were minimal with no USB ports. There is guest wi-fi, but no one told us. The parking area is well marked and during the winter they put up a fabric and plastic screen to keep folks dry in wet weather. Now for the downside. Everyone has bad days and I'll be generous and assume the matronly woman who checked us in was having a bad day. But when a person in a public facing job has a bad day, they better learn how to control it. The woman was rude, curt, and unwelcoming. She was unhelpful and only offered the minimum information on the package and the property. Had we not already paid for the deal, I would have walked away. But she is probably part of the family-owners and can be as miserable as she cares to be. Liked the property, didn't...
