First let me start by saying I am 100% positive this will be deleted as fast as its posted. So therefore I will be posting this to any and every advertisement site for this campground.
I have spent nearly 30 years at this campground. with my parents for 10 yrs and now with my family for the past 19 years. We have seen different owners during the three decades but the ones now.... A disgrace. The campground is dirty. The bathrooms are disgusting. When cleaned the toilets are wiped around floor with a swiffer pad then same swiffer pad for the showers. GROSS. Many athletes feet have come out of those bathrooms!! I know it's camp but really!?! Septic pipe is broken and campground smells. alleged sex offenders are always welcomed back. Alot of alcohol. And I'm talking about the owners. If you like owners getting drunk while partying with their customers then driving around on golf carts at night screaming and swearing to their other campers who were not apart of their gathering , while skidding 50 ft past site because they flew by it, intoxicated, peeping around wood piles at people, easdropping, taking your propane tank and wood for their winter house needs. knowing and Allowing underage children to go around looking for an adult to sell them booze and when told she says its ok its my sons friends. Well, ok. And?!? Huh. I guess that makes it ok. Well then bingo, this is it!!! The male owner, who has zero direction in /everything!!, has initiated so many arguments with my teenage son and another longtime camper that I can't even count. When asked about this their remarks were that my kid is far from perfect. Well ok. No one is but really, not what owners of a "family " campground should be saying or engaging in especially to a child. Come to us, his parents. But wait it gets better.... we have a disabled / very handicapped child who three weeks out of the hospital after an 8 week stay had decided to walk down to the store. Its a very big hill so a very tough walk. He gets to store , puts both candy and money on counter. He waited. The female owner looked at him and said nor did anything. My son put the candy back, took his money and hiked back up the hill. After resting he went down again. Guess what, yup, she did it again. And again. Four times she watched this insecure/ innocent/ handicapped/ developmentally delayed child put both candy and money down on her counter to obviously purchase. Well finally I went down to ask and her answer..... "Can't he speak???!!!! If he can't ask for what he needs I won't give him anything" SERIOUSLY. Disgusting. She knows better which is what kills me but ignorance is ignorance. Needless to say we left. We couldn't be happier with the choice we made!!!!! To anyone thinking about camping here, think again and if not good...
Read moreWe recently spent three nights tent camping at Foothills Family Campground (two adults, an infant, and our dog), and had a truly wonderful experience, especially as first-time tent campers. Going into it, we weren’t sure what to expect, but the warm and welcoming environment quickly put us at ease. The owners, Laura and Pat, were incredibly kind and accommodating. Lauren personally helped us choose a tent site that was close to other campers so we wouldn’t feel too isolated, which made us feel much safer and more comfortable. The campsite itself was spacious, well-kept, and clean, providing plenty of room for our setup and some peace of mind when camping with a baby and a pet. The campground is very well maintained, with clean restrooms and a family-friendly atmosphere. There are lots of amenities to enjoy, an outdoor pool, a small pond with free kayaks and paddle boats, a volleyball/badminton court, a playground for kids and a dog park. They also hosted fun community events like a decorated golf cart parade and a tie-dye activity, which added to the charm and made the experience feel more festive and engaging. One downside to note is that our tent site are relatively close to the highway, so traffic noise was noticeable, especially at night. However, this didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. Another plus is the location, it's conveniently close to restaurants, grocery stores, and other shops, which was really helpful with a little one in town. All in all, Foothills Family Campground was a great introduction to tent camping for us. The friendly staff, clean facilities, and variety of activities made it a memorable and enjoyable trip. We’d definitely consider...
Read moreMy husband and I have been camping here on and off when our children were younger and all of us were enjoying it.Life became busy with teenagers and we were no longer able to get away for about 8 years. Finally our children started their own journeys and so we decided to come back as seasonals. We have been here for 4 years now and absolutely love it.They do not host many functions but there is plenty for families to do.The club house has large screen tv, wifi and games.Outside they a decent size pool that is maintained and have a small fishing pond that is stocked a few times through the summer,as well as 2 paddle boats, 2 small kayaks and life jackets for children. There is volley ball and net, horseshoes, football and other outdoor games,as well as a small playground. The owners can also point out many hiking trails and points of interest for campers. They have electricity to all camper sites as well as sewer hook ups. There are rest rooms and showers near the campsites as well as near the office. There are many seasonal campers as well as transient sites. There is also a tent area on the upper part of the property. The owners as well as the seasonal campers are very friendly and all help one another like good neighbors should. This campground is affordable and the owners are accomadating whenever possible. All that is required to have a great experience here is to be respectful of others , follow the rules ,keep your site clean and keep safety (children, pets, wild animals and fires) in mind. Ps. People that cannot follow the rules and create disturbances will be told to leave. So that respectful campers can enjoy their...
