Belmont Inn and Suites Tatum — Hotel in Tatum

This is the worst stay I have ever had at a hotel. My company booked me for 21 days. I was checked into room 205 July 24, 2024. The room was immaculate, but one of the first things I noticed was a trail of a bullet that made its way through the wall from room 204. It went through my bathroom and exited the bathroom near the ceiling. I called the front desk to report this and asked for them to take a look. The person refused to come look. He said there was no such bullet holes in the walls. I then FaceTimed my boss to verify what I was looking at was truly a bullet trail. He told me to find another hotel. I called my supervisor and texted another supervisor alerting them to the situation at hand. My company booked me at another hotel starting on the 25th.

On the 25th, I checked out the hotel and ask the desk clerk for a $0 balance receipt. I was told I would not be getting a refund. I took the copy of charges for 3wks and left. As a note, the room cleaning lady asked why I was checking out early. I showed her the bullet holes. She stated there was an incident in room 204 about 8 months prior and the room hasn’t been used due to a foul smell that remains ( I wonder why). I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Also as a final note, the entity I work for more than likely place this hotel on a list where they will not do business with again. We wanted to stay in our town while our home was recovering from a flood. First room smelled like pee.There was some kind of black mildew/mold all over the bathroom walls.The shower curtain clearly hadn't been washed in a while. We had two towels and two washcloths, no hand towels or bathmat towel. We were accommodating 4 people.

Then they moved us upstairs to "the only room available". We were told it'd been cleaned but had no TV. So we carried the TV upstairs from the previous room. The room had not been cleaned. The shower curtain was covered in actual dirt/black grime. The toilet was dirty and used, the shower was dirty, the mirror, sink, everything had clearly not been cleaned. Then the mini fridge was covered in black mildew on the inside. It was disgusting! We told the night worker and he said, "oh yes sir we will get all of this cleaned up" (before we returned to sleep there later that night)

We returned later to not one single thing different. Still had only 2 towels & 2 washcloths, etc... This room was free due to our circumstances and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone I know...

Hands down one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Credit card won't allow a dispute because we stayed the night (we were road worn and didn't realize how bad it was). NO BATH TOWELS, NO SOAP of any kind, TWO CHANNELS on TV, UNDRINKABLE WATER - and NO BREAKFAST. Here's why....||It is all the clientele's fault that they had ZERO bath towels, they said they get a lot of road workers staying there. I saw them outside drinking and BBQing, but don't they use towels? No soap - that's an oopsie. Housekeeping clearly does pitiful cleaning so this doesn't surprise me. The water is the water, there's "nothing" they can do about it. And, there was no breakfast because they OVERSLEPT - again, oops! ||Oh, and they have two dogs living in the office. This wouldn't be an issue if the dogs were quiet and non-aggressive. ||On a positive note, they said if I call them in advance and let them know that I am coming through town they said they would get towels and soap for me next time. Good thing Belmont isn't...
