I was never an guest. I am an ex employee. I just want to say sorry to all the guest if anything didn’t come out right in their rooms. We are given 30 mins to fully clean an room and have to write down why it took longer If that room was messy. And for our stay overs we are only given 15 minutes to get them right and tight. The time limits don’t pull us down, but if we are under staffed and have a bunch of rooms we struggle. While I was working there we were always understaffed and couldn’t keep anyone. The manager of the building is unprofessional and really rude to employees and guests. She chose to get in my face in front of an customer in front of their room. She didn’t want to listen to me when I asked if I could get paired with someone else in order to make sure I’m getting things done right and in a timely fashion. She even told me that she doesn’t care about me or if I was struggling. And even said the people above her are the same way. I was told when first hired that we need to make sure the guests are happy and taken care of. Well the day all this happened I was talking to a guest which did put me a little behind on my rooms. When I told her about it she pretty much told me I should have ignored him or pushed him away and been rude. While she was talking to me I was slowly being pushed into a corner. And was having an anxiety attack at the same time. I tried to tell her but she didn’t care to listen. After she finally left me alone I will admit I got on my phone and called my boyfriend because I needed someone to help me ground myself. And when he heard what happened he called up to the hotel. He didn’t remember that the manager zona was over the whole hotel. So when he went to make a report he ended up talking to her. After hanging up on or from him she came up to the floor I was on and proceeded to tell me I was suspended for Saturday. But instead of being an normal distance away she was right up on me again. So I left I couldn’t take the abuse of power and lack of care for the employees anymore. As I was leaving she was following close behind me and I didn’t like that at all. I needed my space. And so I took the stairs from the 4th floor down. She got off on the 3rd floor and took the elevator I am guessing. Because by the time she got down to the bottom I had clocked out and checked my locker. And was leaving the property. From what I hear everyone is leaving due to her being unprofessional, rude, and abusing her power. When employees see her coming they try to avoid her because they can’t handle her attitude. I will admit I am still upset about the situation. It could have been handled in a different manner. Besides her telling me that I was suspended and was to turn my phone in everyday which I wasn’t going to do. It’s my phone and I make payments on the bill not her. Instead of getting in my face and cornering me she could have gave me my space and talked it out. Not all of the employees are bad. Everyone there is amazing especially the housekeepers. Everyone made me feel like family except for Zona. She was always acted as if she didn’t want to be at work and found anything to yell at us about. But I just wanted to let my opinion of what happened to me be known and wish all the guests an amazing time at the hotel. And to say I loved all of the staff at the hotel that made me feel like family. They are an awesome team and they keep the ball rolling. Even if Zona acts unprofessional to them. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I wish everyone luck and to have an great stay...
Read moreMy sons travel baseball team had a scheduled tourney in Taylor on a Saturday and Sunday. I made a reservation on a Tuesday. We got a message from the tourney director that the Taylor location was cancelled due to weather and the tourney would be moved to round rock. I called as soon as I found out and requested to cancel my room. I was told that I could cancel but I would still be charged for the room. I was told that they could not refund my credit card because I prepaid for the room at a discounted rate. I explained that I didn’t receive a discounted rate, I paid the rate that was posted on the website. I also said I wasn’t aware that I prepaid. After hours on the phone being transferred and hung up on I asked them to review the recoding of my reservation so that they could hear that I was never informed about prepaying and not having an option to cancel. They said they would. I was told the next day that the recording wasn’t available. I was told that the only person that might issue a refund would be the manager at the Taylor TX location. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that the manager was out until Monday and nothing could be done until then. On Friday it was apparent I wasn’t going to get my money back so I asked if I could move my reservation to another holiday inn closer to the baseball tournament location. I was told no. So Saturday after a long day of traveling g and two baseball games we made the trip to Taylor Tx to stay in the room I had unknowingly prepaid for. We got there around 10pm. The check in was easy. We went to our room in the third floor which had one king and a pullout. It smelled nice. While placing our luggage in the room I noticed an orange behind a chair. It was obvious attention to details wasn’t very high on the list. We called downstairs to change rooms to a double queen. We moved into the new room and unloaded our luggage again. When I walked into the bathroom I noticed long black hair next to the bathtub. By this time we were all exhausted and I didn’t want to pack everything back up move and unload again. We slept for about 5 hours then got up packed and went downstairs to checkout. We had breakfast which was probably the best part of the whole experience. BTW.. I am an IHG rewards member which apparently dosent...
Read moreTHEY DONT CLEAN THEIR ROOMS. First thing I noticed when I walked into the room was multiple small trash by the bed. So room definitely wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned properly. Found a hair on a pillow. Then in the restroom there was a stain, a trash and a hair in the toilet bowl. Since it was all small stuff didn’t think too much into it, as I checked in very late. Although I did feel uncomfortable about it, considering I payed just about $100 and would expect everything clean, especially DURING A PANDEMIC. || In the morning I went down for breakfast. I will say all staff was friendly. I missed breakfast and they offered a plate. When I went back to my room, housekeeping was already cleaning out my room.? I only stayed one night and had not checked out. So not okay. Housekeeper had my remaining stuff on her cart as if I had left. Gave them to me and then expected me to leave. I told her I wasn’t leaving yet. After she apologized and left, I noticed how she had fixed the bed so quickly, so I wondered if she even changed the sheets. Then I had remembered when I got out of bed for breakfast beforehand I saw a small black trash and a hair between the comforter and sheet. Thought the black trash looked odd but figured it came from me. So since she fixed the bed for the next guest already, I checked under the comforter where I slept, and in the exact same spot I had left it was the small black trash and hair! !!THEY WERENT GOING TO CHANGE THE BEDDING FOR THE NEXT GUEST!! and pretty sure it wasn’t change before me either. I stayed in the room another few minutes as I gathered my stuff. And during that time another housekeeper tried going in. Again I had not checked out. And she didn’t just knock, she opened the door. I went down to check out and tell them what I saw. Front desk didn’t say much besides saying they will leave a note for manager. Manager was supposed to call me back and never did. ||I never write reviews, but I 100% know the bedding was reused for guests. My main concern at a hotel is always a clean bed. ESPECIALLY WITH COVID, they should really be extra on the cleaning. Hotel looks nice and they have cleaning supplies through your hotel. But what’s the point if sheets ARENT CHANGED and room isn’t...
