The experience here was one of the worst I've had at any hotel in my life - loss of sleep from the freeway and hotel guest noise, fearing I'd be hurt if I went outside with the "shady" hotel guests, police catching what appeared to be drug users in the dumpster, ..to name a few. This is only the 2nd review I've ever written, but I hope this lengthy explanation helps save people from the hassle I went through. I was raised in the area and know it well...thought I'd try something new. Hindsight, I definitely would've stayed at a winery B&B or somewhere that actually cares about quality and serving their customers vs. their bottom line. What was supposed to be a fun adventure for me and my daughter, turned into a complete nightmare. Even with a young child and a check-in as early as 3:30p, they refused to accommodate us with a more quiet side of the hotel. They refused to move us since the hotel would have "a lot more guests checking in later." Literally the parking lot was less than 1/4 full, and that's not how hotels even operate - it's usually first come, first serve unless you're paying top $ to reserve a particular room. When I asked for a refund within an hour after check-in, they refused. I had to call the hotel lobby on 2 nights to request them to enforce a 10p curfew by asking people to quiet down. Meanwhile I was scared to go outside in fear of being shot or stabbed by the "characters". Thankfully 2 police officers showed up one night. Our room was facing the freeway, and the traffic noise was so loud that it even disturbed my sleep with meditation music playing loud AND earplugs! The owners could put a wall, plants, or something on the back side of the hotel to deflect that noise; instead they have something comparable to a chain-linked fence. The jacuzzi plaster was practically disintegrating and was scratching my skin... I usually look to see the best in things and situations. If the management would've addressed my concern by moving us or credited my money back, I could've taken my daughter to a safer, quieter facility. I was about to leave anyway, but I didn't have the extra $400-500 to throw away. One redeeming factor is that the finishes in the room weren't bad for a low to moderate level hotel. Please use your...
Read moreI recently stayed here and had a truly mixed experience. There are definitely some bright spots, but also some disappointments worth noting.
The Good: • Staff: Friendly and accommodating overall, though at times it felt like they were just going through the motions. Still, every request I made was fulfilled without issue. • Rooms: Surprisingly modern and clean! Honestly, the inside felt like a completely different world compared to the dated 60s exterior. If I had judged by the outside alone, I would’ve expected a run-down motel. • Noise Levels: The rooms were shockingly quiet given the proximity to a major highway. You do hear hallway traffic and the people above you walking around, but nothing out of the ordinary. • Power Access: Tons of conveniently placed power outlets — a detail I really appreciated. • Pricing (via third-party): Reasonable if you book through a third-party service. But if you go directly through the hotel? Way overpriced for what you actually get.
The Not-So-Great: • Hot Tub: Worked one day and then gave up on life. Major letdown, especially since I was looking forward to relaxing in it all week. • Breakfast: Free, yes — but painfully disappointing. Low effort, low variety, and stingy quantities. Don’t count on it to start your day right. • Towels: Speaking of stingy… getting fresh towels felt like trying to win a prize. Not great when you’re trying to keep clean and comfortable. • Wi-Fi Security: This was the biggest red flag. The Wi-Fi was completely unsecured — no password, no protections. I’m not even a hacker and I could have broken into someone’s data. That’s unacceptable in 2025.
Overall: If you can get a deal and just need a clean, modern place to sleep without frills, this hotel can work. But be cautious if you’re expecting amenities or any sense of digital safety. It’s a place that looks cheap from the outside, delivers a surprisingly nice room — and then sort of drops the ball on...
Read moreThe hotel was clean enough and its close location to the events we were attending are the only reason it got any stars. The attitude and lack of professionalism made sure we will never be back.
This hotel automatically charges a refundable $50 incidentals fee, you know in case you decide to damage something or steal something. Ok we get it, we live in that kind of world, no big deal we'll get it back 4-5days after we check out. What pissed us off was being treated like thieves anytime we asked for something extra!!!!
When we got into our room my husband and I noticed there were only 2 large towels. Most women I know use a minimum of 2. One for the body and one for their hair. So knowing we are going to be taking showers immediately for the event we were attending that night and then again in the morning before leaving, my husband calls the front desk for 4 more towels. From the start the woman at the front desk had attitude and was refusing to provide additional towels. When asked if that was company policy or hers, she finally sent around a maid with 2 more. Rather than argue we figured we would just get a couple more when we got back from our event later.
When we returned we personally went in to talk with the woman at the front desk and asked for 2 more towels. Again the attitude and extreme reluctance to give us more towels! She finally left and came back with 2 towels, talking about all towels having to be accounted for!!!!
Given the attitude the previous day, the following morning before leaving we made sure to have someone, who turned out to be the manager, come to our room and verify ALL the towels were accounted for. It is apparent from her attitude that her employees are following her example.
So unless you enjoy being treated like a thief I recommend staying somewhere else. We certainly will...
