I'm disabled, been here almost a whole year because of a dire situation. SOME of the staff is kind and then others aren't. Last time I explained night staff (which is no longer a thing) screaming at me because THE HOTEL ran out of toilet paper, and the house keeping issue. Now supposedly they sent out a notice in Oct about their broken down AC units and mold. This is not true, no notice was given, ever, not once. I am a full time caretaker for my elderly mother who suffers from dementia. I've mentioned this to staff multiple times, especially Derek. Which Derek seems to be the main one who is racist and ablist claiming I have a language barrier (I speak fluent English and Spanish, I've spoken English my entire life) but also being a complete jerk when I ask for things like the neighbors to not throw things and scream and play loud music at 3 or 4 AM and all hours of the day. He never does anything, he treats me like I'm vermin or trash. He told my bf yesterday that they refuse to send housekeeping saying that I asked them to never come by, which is WAY FAR FROM TRUE. NEVER ONCE DID I ASK FOR SUCH RIDICULOUS BS. They're supposed to come every two weeks which would be easy to predict if THEY ACTUALLY CAME. When housekeeping does come they complain about our trash bags being heavy and moan and groan the whole time they're here which scares my mother because she thinks they're angry with her. I can't do my work because I have to calm her down the whole time. Now back to the AC BS, they never said anything was wrong with it at all. The contractors (who Derek and Crystal [the manager] claim are the hotel maintenance staff) are complete a*holes every time. I simply ask why they need to come in, I need to know to keep our Emotional Support Animal safe AND my mother safe BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DON'T EVEN MASK. They ALWAYS throw a fit refusing to tell me why tf they're going to be in our room and treat me like I don't speak English then storm off in a hissy fit and then front desk calls the room throwing a fit as well.
How on earth does a company treat people they are paying to do work BETTER than the people paying to keep them in business? This makes no sense at all. I have sent SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE LACK OF HOUSE KEEPING. DEREK claims I asked them to never come by, what a load of horse manure. Don't come here, the negative reviews are correct. The only people who have been kind and courteous to me are Mary and Vince. Vince was even kind to me after a man was screaming and cursing in his face. If it's a choice, choose elsewhere.
The reviews that mention a smoke smell in the rooms, it's mold. Dog poop outside, dog or human pee has been seen in the halls and elevator. Sick people don't mask. The housekeeping when they actually come by barely clean. The toilets have issues, the sinks have issues. Water stians on the ceiling. The wifi is barely usable, if you pay for the "fast" wifi haha... It's not fast at all.
We've been here for a while now. Most of the staff is very kind and polite and help with anything you need.
I'm not sure what's happened the past few weeks.
They didn't schedule house keeping for a whole month. When they finally came they didn't give us fresh toilet paper. So we ran out today. I go downstairs to ask and a white man I've never seen working here before was making a face after a black woman had just finished paying her room.
As soon as he looked at me he rolled his eyes probably pissed that I caught him giving the woman a stink eye or maybe he hates his job.
He said they're completely out of toilet paper. Seems really odd for management to let a hotel with hundreds of rooms run out of toilet paper. I asked for a box of tissues instead and he kept refusing saying they have nothing at all.
Not even a week ago they tried to give me two rolls seems odd for a place running low...
After that he started yelling at me even following me to...

The rooms did include a full size fridge, which is important to my travelling family. I'll say from the cleanliness and space aspect, a great value.
Now the bad. Upon check-in, we got list of "rules" that I would associate more with a halfway-house than I would a hotel. Things like "no drugs", "you can be removed from the property for filthy living conditions", these are points that should be understood, and that they feel the need to spell it out explicitly speaks to the clientele they expect. Upon getting to the room, we found that there were only 2 towels. There is no housekeeping staff to call to get additional towels. You have to go to the front desk and ask for them there. I can't understand if you have a room with 2 queen beds why you wouldn't already stock the room with 4 towels! Additionally, if the front desk knows there are 4 in the room which was noted in the reservation, why not give the guests towels at check-in? Oh and don't ask for more than 4 towels. That is not allowed. Heaven forbid you travel with 3 ladies who use two towels apiece when they shower and wash their hair! Also note that while the rooms have a microwave, and two burner electric stove, there is no cookware, glassware, or dining utensils provided. Pretty much makes these amenities useless as I don't travel with pots and pans. Also, although this particular property seems fairly new, the air conditioner was amazingly noisy. Whenever the compressor kicked in, the unit buzzed loudly for 3 or 4 minutes. Since this was in Florida you can imagine the compressor would kick in every 30 minutes or so. It was highly annoying. The walls are all fairly thin, and a crying baby could clearly be heard all morning long. Also, the floors are wood laminate so if your neighbor is heavy-footed and walks in hard soled shoes, the sound carries very easily. Lastly I would like to single out Miles, the front desk associate, as pretty much not caring about the guests. When I Checked in, he made it seem like an inconvenience that he had to deal with me rather than continuing his conversation with the two ladies in the lobby. I pretty much wrote that off because I was too tired to care. The second night when I needed the towels was the best. I had seen him hand towels to another guest while he was checking someone else in. I was patiently waiting while he finished up with the check-in, but turns out the fellow was checking in for 4 parties. After waiting for this transaction for 15 minutes I asked if I could just get the two towels while he finished up with the fellow checking in. Apparently he could not do this (even though I had seen him doing this before) and I was a jerk for even suggesting it! That interaction along with the scary rules has soured me on Woodspring Suites. If you need a place to spend the night, by all means give them a chance, but note that you get what you pay for. I would not do another multi-night stay unless there was no...
Read moreHorrible customer service and unclear advertising! We booked this hotel because we had an issue with our house so we had to find a place to stay while it was repaired. They advertise "FULL KITCHENS" it's on the bill board out front and on the website. We get into the room and unpack all of our stuff and go to start cooking dinner and open all the cabinets to find no pots, pans, utensils, plates or anything... Checked with the front desk and they said that they don't offer any of that we had to provide it for ourselves...That doesn't sound like a "FULL KITCHEN" to me. So off to Dinner we went. The floors still had a bad residue from the poor cleaning job that they did. The towels in the bathroom had stains on them! So needless to say we decided to leave the next day to go to a real hotel that provided a real suite. We originally booked for a full 7 days so our credit card was charged the full amount. When we checked out we where charged an extra day we addressed it at the time of check out they claimed that there was an error in the computer system and they would follow up with us when it was resolved. We heard nothing back from them that day we called back 2 times and where told that they where still working on it. We then called the next day and they said that they where still working on it at the close of "business" 5pm we called again and where told that it was resolved. I asked to have them send the bill via email and they did. Guess what? It was the same big we left with. so we called back again and where told that the GM left for the day...So we asked for a call back the following day and never got a call back we called after he was gone again. Asked for another call back the following day still nothing. Then we called and got in touch with the GM who has horrible customer service skills. He said that it been taken care of and we told him it wasn't s a few more days went by still no returned phone call. At this point we called corporate and they kept calling back and forth with the front desk and were told that the gm wasn't in and they would follow up with me and guess what 2 business days later nothing. So finally 7 days later after being hung up on twice and calling back over and over they say its resolved. needless to say I would never book another stay with this hotel or anyone associated with it even thought they are independently owned...
