We wanted to try something new for breakfast so my husband picked Bob Evan's. All their advertisement looks GREAT. So we went here. Let me just add we got there at 3:45 and we are leaving at 5:32pm and is not because they are busy. It was LITERALLY 3 different families in there including us. The place was basically empty. We ordered our drinks and food all together. We had to repeat our order to her about 7 times (not kidding). She brings everyone out their drinks and glass of water had looked as though tried food around it. I didn't bother drinking the water but I also had a sweet tea she did not bring. So I asked for that and she said "ok" with a attitude and walks off. She then brings me a half glass of water with no ice and sits it down. I asked "what is this for" and she replied "that's what you wanted". I said "no I asked for a sweet tea when I ordered my water" she says "ok", walks off and bring it back. At this time 2 other couples walk in. As time goes by we are seeing everyone is getting their food before us. We literally waited over a hour to get our food. The thing is when we got our food NOTHING was right. She had messed up evey single order which was 5. Piggy Pancakes, 2 Mini Samplers, Honey Chicken and Biscuit and Sirloin Steak and Eggs. None of the eggs were cooked as we asked, the steak was rare when ordered medium well.We called her back and she seems if she got a attitude when we are letting her know. One of the other young ladies came over and helped. She asked us what was wrong and what can she do. She fixed EVERYTHING. If I came back ot would be just for her. She is a AMAZING and OUTSTANDING server.I can't remember her name but she's a brown skinned girl and she wears glasses. I left her a GREAT tip because she made all of it up. We over hear the same waiter messing up other people's order as we are leaving. Definitely want worth the...
Read moreI have been going to Bob Evans for many years, it is one of those treats I give to myself. I have always loved their breakfast menu and look forward to going there on Sunday morning for their biscuits and gravy. Anybody that's lived in the south for any period of time knows, biscuits and gravy is a staple. This location of Bob Evans, was the worst I have ever been too in 25 years I have been going there. It is in a wonderful location, due to the captive audience of hotels and USF College housing so close. This location right next too highway 75. The food was cold after waiting almost an hour, it was old, no freshly cooked as most Bob Evans Restaurants. The appeared and tasted, as if it had been sitting on the grill for hours. The waitress constantly kept forgetting the order, which we gave to her, three times previously. My breakfast came out at three different times, since they couldn't get it right. How do you mess up an order which has not had any change from the menu, and you ordered directly off the menu as it was written. No substitutions or changes. It was so disappointing. Our service started off with the waitress coming to our table too take the drink order, she had to return twice because she couldn't remember what we had ordered. Then it took another 15 minutes just to get our drinks. Something seemed wrong or off with her. Maybe, this location should consider random drug testing! No one seem to care much about the restaurant where it's patrons. Bob Evans corporate needs to get involved at this location, and get a decent management team there. This will ensure a quality product is being delivered to customers. I would not go to this location until they have addressed their management and...
Read moreThe five star rating is for the professional MOD and gentleman named I believe Roy. Any managers and supervisors that have to deal with employees that are, “less than, “ deserve combat pay.
The rest of the experience would be a two star and the food was a five.
Businesses are forced to hire less than average bodies to fill positions with no experience or care for their position. No matter how much training these individuals receive, they will never grasp the concept of hospitality and they really don’t have to because you will accept it.
When a customer walks into a restaurant, the first person you see is the host or hostess. When the person can barely ask if you’re dining in, no smile , no welcome to the establishment, moves as though you are really breaking up their routine, you know you’re in for a treat.
I’m going to skip to the food which was very good. No more about that.
When you are letting the hostess know they need to add an item to the ticket since they did not take the time to look at the ticket, you know there’s going to be an issue.
There is more to this because the, “less thans,“ feel entitled to say anything to a paying customer in front of other paying customers and get away with it.
Even though my meal was comped when it was unnecessary, I won’t be back any time soon.
My advice to customers looking to be served, receive quality customer service, eat at home until things return more to normal.
There are a few really great servers and hosts around, but they are few and...
