I must disclose to any who reads this that my experience from 12/2023 up to hurricane Milton in 10/2024 was decent. This is an extended stay and while I don't think industry wide all branches offer the same level of service consistently this particular branch was during the initial period very accommodating to everyone whether they were a long term renter, a business groups, or individuals who paid daily, weekly ect but were late due to a variety of circumstances... That all ended Oct 2024. Not sure if it was due to high turnover of employees or a new GM who started her oversight as the I KNOW BEST or I KNOW THE RIGHT WAY arrogant management style that is out of control in the Tampa Area. I've heard and seen this rude, unfiltered, indifferent, fault finding, and know it all cadre managers of falsely promoted and placed. Well educated but character devoid adolescent personalities placed in position of authority. They don't care about customer service or what it represents or how to promote it. They remind me of bitter elementary school kids that enjoyed to see fellow students get wrong answers while grading test. That was the general attitude of the individual that took over in November 2024. Under this I KNOW ALL management style there hasn't been a day where there wasn't an altercation of words between guess and management. It's one thing to They think being an ass is the way to get things done and I don't know what's worse thinking that being that way actually work or that being that way is something new? This particular Extended Stay and again I am not speaking in regards to my entire stay but the period of new management implementation of performing basic things like cleaning the staircases... Preferably all in the same day!!! I honestly don't get the crew that's hired but they are laid back and don't do much. I've seen like 4 or 5 rooms cleaned on one floor in a 2 week period. I pass by and I see one cleaning person in a room that I know wasn't occupied and yet they are SLOWLY cleaning the suite for 3 hours. Then leave and congregate downstairs for an hour or more before leaving. They rarely vacuum. The tenants vacuum their front areas because most of the folks that stay here long term treat this place like their home. I just swept and mopped the rear stairwell because it hasn't been done in over 4 months. It was disgusting!!! They are aware because the front stairwell seems to always be fresh. The middle so so.... But the rear one which is the only door you can enter without an issue at night because they refuse to fix the lock systems. Yes. The perimeter locks have been down more than they have been up. What's worse is that the magnetic locks on the outside doors when you try and swipe will deactivate your card. So now you can't get into your room. so what people try and do is prop the door open anyway they can or could so they won't have to call someone over to give them a new card. The office isn't open or staffed 24/7 after 2200 there's a steal shutter that is closed over the office area and you are directed to a phone to call customer service to contact the night person they now bounce between locations. Management however unilaterally across the board accused all who prop open their room door to avoid the process of getting a new card as breaking into rooms. Prior staff always received the warmest praise because they lived onsite and often it was them renters called to have their cards reactivated. Typically in 10 minutes you are on your way and are relieved although not happy because the real issue has never been addressed. No. They keep hiring this tech handiman that do nothing more than establish power to reader unit but doesn't actually test to see if it works. I've seen at least 3 different contractors out repairing those door locks to not work. So people prop them open at night if they are coming back in. It's a security risk to leave the doors open at night but it's also important to realize danger can appear at all times of the day not just at night. Cops and EMS...
Read moreI stayed here for a week with my two children (8 and 6 years old) and we had a really bad experience. First of all, the front desk isn't staffed 24/7. If you have an emergency overnight, you have to search forever online to find the number to the actual hotel instead of a reservation line. I know this because we checked in on a Friday night and then early Saturday morning (at like, 5am), our toilet clogged and overflowed into the bathroom and living space. I finally got ahold of the emergency answering people and they said there's no maintenance available on the weekends. Like, at all. So, the night attendant gave me some towels and a plunger and wished me good luck. The next evening, the toilet clogged again, and once again, I had to use the plunger to fix it. There's also no room cleaning if you don't stay more than a week. They give you two towels and two washcloths, and they only replace towels once a week, so if you don't stay more than a week, they charge you to get new/different towels. There are no tissues, no toiletries. Their "full-service kitchens" are a total joke. There is a full-sized fridge, a microwave (very small), and two stove-top burners. One of ours was broken and we had to get it fixed, and once they made it work again, it only had a "high" setting and wouldn't go down to medium or low. You have to bring everything yourself - plates, silverware, dish soap, sponge, etc. And on top of all that, they don't replenish your toilet paper. They give you a new roll when you check in, but after that, you have to buy it yourself. And their "suites" are a joke as well. First of all, it's a totally normal-sized hotel room. In fact, it's small by some standards. It had a table/desk thing but nothing else to even eat at. There was one chair, but I had 3 people in my room. There was only 1 small trash can in the whole room. And the upkeep of the rooms is severely lacking. My TV remote was missing the back and the batteries were taped in with Scotch tape. The armchair had rips and tears in it. The walls and ceilings and vents in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a really, really long time. The floor (not carpeted) was so dirty. We couldn't walk around without shoes on because our feet go so dirty. And the bed was SO uncomfortable. You could feel every spring inside the mattress. My back and hips hurt every morning from having to sleep on such a terrible mattress.
There were some good things: the AC worked well, and the staff was very friendly, as were the other guests. The sheets were clean. The drains worked well. They had USB charger ports in the lights by the sides of the bed. It has a working elevator (unlike its sister hotel next door, whose elevator has been broken for a long time).
But, honestly, if you can afford it, stay somewhere else. This is just NOT a place I can recommend. I was supposed to stay here a second week before my new house is ready, but I actually opened a GoFundMe to help offset the cost of staying in a more expensive place that is better quality. It's...
Read moreAfter 3 days of trying to book a room without defaulting to 7 day stay instead of 1 or 2 day stay. I finally get a room. Get my key card and go to Walmart to get some food. Spent over $25. then I get to my open the put food away in fridge. About 10 minutes into my stay, I go to put something to eat in the microwave only to discover there isn't one. The front desk said we can move you to another room but it will be a while. The room I paid for should have had everything in it. Reply to your answer, nyo and Victor, whoever they are, didn't do a dam thing. You lied in your reply. I had to throw away my food because nothing was done to a microwave put in my room. It is listed that the kitchen has a microwave, refrigerator, and stove top in EACH room. So I suggest that when someone tells the truth, you shouldn't sugarcoat it with lies about how someone corrected the situation when nothing was done at all. Quit calling me. You left a voicemail about the reservation but didn'do anything about it. lying about 2 people helping me a microwave, which is supposed to be in the room, I never got a microwave and left food behind in the freezer because I had no way to eat it. No one named Nyo or Victor did anything. You can lie in your replies all you want but you ate dinner that night I didn't. If I could go lower than 1 star I would have. You should have at least compt me the room. I just wish these reviews went to your corporate office.just read your reply again you lie. I KNOW WHAT PROPERTY I WAS AT . I KNOW THE ADDRESS. DONT LIE AND SAY I WAS AT ANOTHER HOTEL.I HAVE THE RECEIPTS. NOW I HAVE 2 LIES YOUR COMPANY HAS TOLD THIS ONE AND THE OTHER WHERE 2 PEOPLE, THAT I NEVER MET. HELPED WITH THE MICROWAVE BEING GONE. ANYBODY WHO BOOKS A ROOM AT YOUR LYING CHEATING ESTABLISHMENT NEEDS THEIR HEAD EXAMINED.. A CARDBOARD BOX WOULD BE BETTER THAN YOUR ZERO STAR DUMP. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE TRUTH DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I ALSO HAVE A PHOTO OF THE EMPTY SHELF WITH NO MICROWAVE. YOU'LL RECOGNIZE IT'S ONE OF YOUR ROOMS SO I HAVE PROOF BUT JUST KEEP ANSWERING WITH MORE LIES. Why are you keeping your lying answer? I have my bank statement and photos of the room. Also photos of the empty microwave shelf that are date and time stamped. You have slandered and defamed me by lying to make yourself look good. Your statement says that you don't believe I stayed at that property because your staff is so wonderful. No one did anything to get me a microwave. You lied in 2 replies. I have a lawyer working with my evidence. I have all the original Google reviews I wrote about your property. He is telling me we could be looking at 6 figures. Defamation of character, making a false statement, emotional and mental anguish. Also I'm filing a complaint with the BBB. by the time the dust settles you won't be able to get $2 for a room. I will not except phone calls. Text messages only so I have written proof of any you...
