Baymont by Wyndham Terrell — Hotel in Terrell

Extremely disappointed. The hotel itself is very nice and appears to be well maintained, and the price was reasonable. That was the extent of the good things. It is roach infested. I checked in, and went to my room. I was there for a very short time, and I saw a roach. I killed it and went on about my business. I know it happens. However, as I was sitting watching TV, something caught my eye, and it was another roach, and then another one. I killed 4 of them, and then noticed one was crawling out of the alarm clock. I unplugged the clock, and took it to the front desk. I told the person at the front desk I already killed 4 of these in my room, and they are starting to come out of the alarm clock as well. He told me there was no way a roach could get in the clock. I proceeded to take all of my belongings out to my truck. I went back to the room and over the course of the next hour or so, 4 or 5 more made their appearance. The person at the front desk never apologized, never offered to get me another room, never even offered me a can of bug spray at a MINIMUM! He simply said, I'm calling the exterminator in the morning. By this time, it was after midnight, and I'm a truck driver. So, moving to another hotel wasn't an option. Needless to say, it turned out to be a sleepless night for the most part. I was not anxious to close my eyes. I certainly didn't want to wake up to find these critters crawling on me. If you consider stopping here for the night, I would ask to see a room first, check it out thoroughly, but my advice is to check out one of the surrounding hotels. One or 2 bugs in a room, well, that's certainly not great, BUT, life happens, and in life there are bugs. But when 8-10 or more are running around in your room, UNACCEPTABLE!! There is obviously a problem. I could even forgive that a tiny bit, but when the staff and / or manager doesnnn't care or try to make it right in some way, well, then I definitely let folks know, they are better off moving on when they come to this hotel. I've NEVER experienced this with a Baymont Inn, EVER. I stay in a hotel over 250 nights out of the year, and this was without a doubt THE WORST hotel I have...

The actual location is ideal. It is very close to a lot of restaurants and Buccee’s is about 5 minutes away. We arrived around 9pm for check in, and I was greeted by an older gentleman at the front desk. He was very nice. The room we were assigned due to outside booking didn’t give us 2 beds; instead it was a king size bed and a sofa bed. He said it was his last available room. We got in to the room,and the sofa bottom pillow had a hole in it, and the room smelled like cigarettes (even though there is no smoking in the building) We opened the sofa at 1115pm, and there were NO sheets on the bed.. Not a problem. I called downstairs, told the front desk clerk, and he told me I could come down and get them.. not a problem. He asked if I needed anything else. I asked for 2 more pillows, and some more towels, as there were only 2 that were in the room. In the stack of linens, he didn’t give me any pillow cases, and all that was included was a flat sheet not a fitted sheet. My family made due because it was getting laid, and I didn’t want to walk all the way back down and leave my kids alone. Around 2am, my youngest started screaming when she was in the bathroom. There were ROACHES! On the stairwell there are cigarette butts, and ashes.

While I was walking to check out, there was an older lady outside pushing a baby in a strolled, and when I got to the front desk, she was I guess also the front desk person. I don’t know if she understood, I was just trying to turn in my key. She got a younger gentleman to come to the front, and frankly… We just wanted to leave. WiFi - worked Netflix - would not connect for us to sign into our account

We purposely chose not to join in the free breakfast that comes with the stay.

I paid 128 dollars for a horribly gross room. I won’t be making that...

I wouldn't even give this hotel one star but it won't let me post without giving them at least one so number one I got my key went to walk into my room and there was three guys smoking marijuana in the room the room was supposed to be vacant but somehow these three guys got in there. The marijuana was so strong you could smell it from the parking lot so I went to the office to tell the guy at the front he acted like it was no big deal he then gave me another room didn't even tell me he was sorry for this incident happening gave me a room to the one next to it ask him if he had anything else he told me no. Number two my bathroom door wouldn't even shut.Number three the sink wouldn't even drain I could barely brush my teeth without it over filling, and then our TV did not have a remote and he told me he did not have another one. If i would of had anywhere else to stay i wouldn't of stayed there the next day I told the property manager what all had happened he told me the cops were called but I had my door open and didn't see no cop I let him know that my stay was not what I intended in fact it was horrible and reassured him I would never be back again told him what all happened and he just said okay to everything I had told him not even caring that his hotel was horrible even a sorry ma'am would've been nice but no like it was no big deal to them the stuff happened all the time or something do not go let me save you some...
