Sky Lodge Inn And Suites — Hotel in Town of Delavan

This was by far the worst experience we had. We stayed there a few weeks ago and was receiving calls to our room in the middle of the night from some crazy person. It was absolutely terrifying. The front desk didn't really care to address our concerns and said not to worry about it. I'd like everyone to know this hotel offers subsidized housing so we were likely getting these strange calls from a person staying longer term in our room previous to us. There were seedy and scary activity going on in the parking lot. We were assured the doors were locked and secured by 11 pm but we reentered the hotel at 11:30 pm to find them still unlocked. I would like my husband to receive a refund for this horrible experience. It is imperative for my family especially having a baby to feel safe. The room wasn't anything to write home about. The tub was absolutely filthy and had a slimy film over it. Only stocked one towel and one washcloth even after knowing the room was booked for two. Don't bother asking for extras. The pool was inside and clean. No issues there. The complimentary breakfast bar was laughable. Two kinds of dry cereal and some gas station muffins. The place smelled of feet in certain hallways. Internet kept going in and out the whole time. Tv didn't work for awhile. The whole room looked like the 70s puked on it and not in a good way. Furniture was dirty or broken. They advertise jacuzzis on their sign but when you ask they tell you they don't have any. The carpet in the hallway def needs cleaning badly. We were first drawn to the Sky Lodge Inn by the price, a family medical emergency found us in need of a place to stay for several days. However, the owners' friendliness, thoughtfulness, and consideration brought us back and will continue to draw us whenever we are in the area.

As others have noted, the rooms are spacious and outfitted with a microwave and refrigerator. The owners are steadily updating the premises: installing new carpeting, freshening the walls and hall lighting, installing flat screen TVs. The location is convenient to Lake Delavan and looks over natural areas that make the region a restful draw. Yet, it isn't too far from the town's shopping areas and the interstate. There's even an DQ right next store.
